Thank you very much for the wonderful presentation. Um, can I see your hands? Who here suffers from jet lag? Are there any? Who here is, uh, sleep deprived?
Yes, this is a crypto event. OK. Is there anyone still drunk from last night? Okay, we have the right audience. So, my name is Daniel Grove, and I'm usually a film director.
I am a screenwriter, director, and producer. I spent 10 years in Hollywood. My films were shown at Sundance, Cannes, and Berlin. I've worked with studios like Sony, MGM, Netflix—all of them. But about 12 months ago, if you had told me I would be standing here in front of you today as a tech founder, I would have advised you to jump off a roof.
If you had told me 12 months ago that I would be standing on this stage standing on this stage , speaking before you as a founder in the cryptosphere, I would have said, “Find a higher building to jump off.” If you had told me 12 months ago that I would be standing before you today as the co-founder of a blockchain lifestyle brand using NFTs, I would have asked what kind of NFTs these were . And as someone who is passionate about culture and interested in all kinds of technology, I immersed myself in the world of non-fungible tokens. And I discovered that NFTs are much more than just pictures. In fact, once I understood the three pillars of non-fungible tokens, which for me are art, community, and roadmap, I realized that NFTs can be used to create anything.
You create a collection of art that collectively symbolizes an idea. You are forming a community with shared values around this art. And you are guiding this community, together with art, towards a common goal. Despite all of this, there's one thing I've been my entire adult life—I'm an avid techno fan. I grew up here in Singapore dancing Zouk and now I live in Berlin, which is probably the capital of dance music.
And I've been hanging out with the crypto been hanging out with the crypto community for several years now. And I noticed something about the crypto something about the crypto community. They love parties. They really love parties. And what do they listen to when they walk?
Electronic music. What's up, you don't even have to ask me. Even Elon Musk himself calls himself a "techno king." You can google " You can google " Elon Musk" and " Elon Musk" and " technoking." So, my co-founders and I saw an opportunity to bring together all the disparate elements of the electronic music world: DJs, clubs, promoters, fashion designers, and artists.
We decided to move them to the blockchain to create something greater than the sum of the parts, develop a reward system, and unlock value for all participants. So, electronic music has grown from a subculture into a global phenomenon. It is the second most popular genre in the world after hip-hop. And if anyone has heard Beyoncé's new album, it sounds like Kylie Minogue from 2003. And it's called house called house music, baby.
Today, tens of millions of people travel to see the best DJs, clubs, and festivals, and the growth of the crypto industry has brought an affluent, digital audience that is even more connected to the global party scene than ever before. For over 40 years, electronic musicians have been at the cutting edge of culture and technology. This makes them ideal candidates for mass blockchain adoption. It's not called techno for nothing. I mean, ask the king of techno.
But don't let me speak for everyone. Let's let the toys speak for themselves. Can you play the video? This one is a play the video? This one is a real show-off.
So, they didn't become the same same Tickle Elmo toys. They did not become " They did not become " Korzhyks". They were toys that were abandoned. So they spent their time hanging out wherever they were accepted. From Berlin to Burning Man and TOKEN 2049.
And they were known for their partying stamina. But suddenly the dance floors were empty. The tours are over. The clubs fell silent. We all know what happened.
And since then, no one has seen the " happened. And since then, no one has seen the " lost club toys," until now. Rumor has it that they have been spotted on the blockchain, and they are changing to dance forever in the metaverse. Now, " metaverse. Now, " Lost Club Toys" are 3D- Lost Club Toys" are 3D- animated NFT avatars at the center of a creative economy built on fan- partner relationships.
We collaborate with DJs, music producers, clubs, festivals, clothing designers, and even visual artists and tattoo artists and tattoo artists to create the perfect community for fans, offering unprecedented access to their idols and new ways to express their fandom online and offline. These new forms of engagement open up new sources of revenue for our partner network without any additional effort on their part. We turn NFT owners from fans into superfans, while guaranteeing them a lot of fun. The more you interact, the more access and rewards you get. For example, if you have one of our limited edition DJ avatars, you get that DJ's tour schedule and can request a spot on the guest list for guest list for any of their events.
The more events you attend, the more access you get. You can spend time with the spend time with the DJ in the booth. You can go to an afterparty, get vinyl, an invitation to fashion week, or anything else the artist wants. In this way, we encourage fans to get more out of what they love while helping our partners. It works the same way with parties .
For example, if you buy one of our limited edition Amber Lounge Lost Club toys, which are on sale this weekend, by the way, you get access to all Amber Lounge events around the world. The more often you attend events, the more benefits you get, and the contract upgrades the toy. Your toy can learn a dance move from that nightclub, get branded digital clothing, or even other bonuses like invitations to secret events. In fact, this ecosystem returns value to fans, clubs, festivals, artists, fans who want to become artists, as well as NFT artists, as well as NFT investors who want to create something based on this art. By the way, our NFTs use the Creative Commons Zero license.
This means that owners are not limited in the ways they can use this art. If you want to open a rice and chicken restaurant using our toy, please do. Or if you want to suggest Netflix animation, no problem. If you want to use our toy to become the next Baby Shark creator and enter the billion-dollar children's music video industry, we'll help you with that . So, not only do we help established artists by providing secondary sources of income, but we also create avenues to support those members of the community who want to become established artists themselves.
So, why now? The truth is that Generation Z has gone online. Young audiences are consuming content and expressing themselves digitally in a way that themselves digitally in a way that traditional businesses simply can't keep up with. This is a matter not only of development, but also of survival. In 2021, the electronic music industry exceeded $6 billion.
It is expected to triple by 2030, so creating major revenue streams on blockchain for this industry is an for this industry is an obvious solution. So we build a community based on the behavior that already exists. This behavior is simply discrete and not yet engaged. Our community is going to Zoop tonight. They buy plane tickets to Aa.
They're still shaking off the sand after Burning Man. So why not use blockchain to build a community that is already decentralized, global, and tech-savvy? However, we strive for it to be something more than just a community of owners. We want this to be a brand, a lifestyle brand, a lifestyle brand, that the whole world will associate with and that will stimulate the development of the cultural industry that we love so much. So I returned to the three pillars of NFT: art, community, and roadmap, together with like- minded people who share the positive values of electronic music culture, such as openness, inclusivity, diversity, and equality on the dance floor.
You can go to the moon and back with them. Together we can advance in fashion, education, film and television, music publishing, and even the metaverse. With the help of our 3D avatars, we, of course, want to build virtual spaces. But we don't just want to create a virtual nightclub to look at pretty digital things and listen to great music. This is all great, and it will all be implemented.
But, while staying true to our idea, we want to break down the barriers between fans and artists. We want to create virtual spaces where people can share ideas, create together, and interact in new dynamic ways. Thanks to smart contracts, everything smart contracts, everything created and shared generates royalties that return to the owners. And finally, Lost Club Toys will be showcasing our special limited edition toys created specifically for Token 2049. So come to the afterparty tomorrow night, Friday, here at Marina Bay Sands, at the CÉ LA VI club on the top floor.
It seems tickets are still available on Resident Advisor, and there you'll be able to see the toys displayed around Marina Bay Sands in true DJ style. From Saturday to Sunday, the toys will continue the party at the Amber Lounge, the official F1 afterparty. and we will release some of our first and rarest examples of the collection examples of the collection . But if you can't make it to these events, I invite each of you to join the early whitelist. And if you want, take a picture of me here today, tag us on social media, and tell us you're here.
We would be happy to add you to the whitelist for our Genesis release, which will take place in early 2023. So, I want to thank Rafael for inviting me to Token 2049, and you wonderful people for and you wonderful people for listening. Find me on Twitter or LinkedIn. I'll be there or LinkedIn. I'll be there , and I hope we can all become Lost Club Toys and continue the dance party on the blockchain.
Thank you all.
