Building True Web 3.0 Decentralization in a Sharing Economy - TOKEN2049 Singapore 2022

hello hello everybody um I'm the managing director of CPU coin and I don't have any voice because I've been to four trade shows and at least 20 parties in the last three weeks so uh I will I will make sure that I try to deliver this but it's really hard so hopefully you can hear me can you guys hear me out there can you hear me okay um really I want to talk a little bit about building the sharing economy uh and and truly decentralizing web 3.0 applications but before I do that I think it's important to know a little bit about me who I am you don't know who I am you don't know what I've done and I I actually I'm one of those guys that's in the background I get a lot of things done um I've powered multi-billion dollar companies uh their content delivery um including Disney Sony and Warner Brothers but before I did that I was the original games producer of Tetris the number one selling game of all time I know that sounds crazy but it's true you can look it up then I did a tool called the babelizer pro sold millions of those worldwide was on the Mac and PC it's an artist tool to accelerate their work which means that they could batch process and automate uh content manipulation um and I actually had 38 Distributors um in about 60 countries including Singapore and Malaysia up for debabolizer and then from then on we got into server side and I did um Dynamic Imaging and video serving which uh for Web 2.0 so I literally invented Dynamic Imaging uh which Powers some of the largest B2B portals and websites in the world um and I've processed literally tens of billions of assets for dizzyco Wonder Warner Brothers and Sony digital so in about 2018 when I started thinking about okay where is this all going I looked into crypto I spent a lot of time I toured the pack rim and I decided this is a place where it's going to be happening and so I did an ieo and launched a company called CPU coin on probit in Korea and with this uh this product is really um the beginning of a Computing Global Network and it's built on a D services uh sharing economy would that what does that mean that means that anybody can install my Miner on their windows or their Linux box whether you're in a data center or at home and we're literally utilizing that compute today even in our test net to process and deliver content but why why does this have to happen what does it mean if your business is hosted on a cloud service provider that sells computing power you are not decentralized why do I say that you can have a million nodes all over all over AWS but a phone call can be made and you literally are turned off tomorrow sorry it's true if your if your goal doesn't eventually include becoming a Dao you're not persistent that means that if the team is still if the team is not available is not alive uh gets on the wrong airplane guess what you don't have persistence period so you have to have a dow right anybody claiming persistent ownership such as an nft can be can be disappeared overnight if it's not replicated on multiple verifiable decentralized storages this is a fact I'll give you an example somebody the other day just told me hey I'm hosting my own ipfs uh node and that's where his uh his nfts are stored and he and his nft business can be right well that doesn't mean that is decentralized because he's he's not paying a ton for ipfs storage because he's hosting it himself when you start talking about long-form content greater than a few megabytes this is going to require what I call the missing middleware layer and it cannot be on chain it cannot be on chain I don't care what anybody tells you it's way too slow to try to put that on chain you talk about a 200 megabyte Photoshop file that's the size of this wall or a 4K video that's two hours long that's you know seven eight terabytes this could not be Unchained but here's the thing none of that can be recalled on demand anyway from anywhere it's way too big so what you need is a proxy middleware layer that also is going to help save the planet because the fact is that there's a problem state right now the problem state is that there's a trillion dollars spent annually on I.T infrastructure 40 percent of that runs idle at any given moment 40 percent there's all kinds of waste management and all kinds of issues with decommissioning hardware and all kinds of heat as anybody here stood in front of a data Center's exhaust fan it is scary okay so it's also not decentralized so really there's all kinds of things that need to be powered in this way there's massive unutilized Global compute uh there's incredible amounts of time to service if you use a cloud service as well so you need something that allows you to deploy and scale and automatically create a decentralized network of compute we did it right now anybody here can go and install my Miner on their computer that minor is live and live data is being shown on our website today you can go to cpucoin.io and see this in action it effectively allows you to um decentralize content requests at scale and do things like you know process and deliver video and images but it isn't just a CDN CDN is Circa 2000.

right you need to create a cgn a Content generation Network um which is what we're doing on top of that the big issue with all of the cloud service providers is I'll say four of them they're way too expensive for anybody that is a startup for sure and then I've seen companies choke on the bill for doing a test at forty thousand dollars a month just doing a test net well that's way too expensive okay so what have we done by doing this the throughput comparison on a sharing economy of compute is intelligently determining the availability of computing resources it's giving us 120x on AWS on demand and a 4.5 x at AWS Lambda as far as the throughput that means that you get 120 times more API calls on CB coin than you do on AWS on demand I'm not going to go into the Gory details of this architecture but suffices to say my chief um architect who did this with me in 2019 his prior role was uh the Chief Architect of netsuite if you don't know what that is netsuite is uh one of the largest er uh ERM companies on the planet he was there with he was the 30th employee and when he left there was six thousand this right here is a white paper you should check it out at cbucoin.io um we also had to deal with uh the security model for data and multi-tier uh capability and understanding and tracking what the computers are capable of and their security their security level in the network that was approved by one of the largest banks in the world there's the architecture go check it out again I'm not going to get into the Gory details but what is missing what is missing is the ability to dynamically generate content on the edge from original and proxy resources that's what we are building that's what we have built there's about 100 million dollars that are already about 300 manners in development in this product this is the initial service in the minor it's called the meteorous course sub stack it's a with a partnership that we licensed from equilibrium this middleware layer can do media Transformations on the Fly General website and social applications um automated video editing auto assembly we have the issued pants on Dynamic Auto assembly of video and images it can render fonts in 180 languages it can do uh soft proofing document collaboration document rendering ingesting of 450 file types including almost every video file type on the planet here's the thing out of the box it's fault tolerant headless multi-threaded multi-process and auto deprioritizing what that means is if you leave your computer do stuff for our Network you get paid the CPU coin if you if you need to use your machine all over the threads any processing will Throttle Down the second you touch your mouse or touch the keyboard so you don't even know we're there so it's got everything necessary to do everything is that that needs to be done as an initial D service to enable HD nfts for example which is always missing it's missing everywhere I mean I I've talked to bit boy at consensus and he said they can't get an image out of ipfs fast enough inside of a a metaverse how many people have a speed of accessing content at times in the in a metaverse or right it's way too slow it's supposed to let me down from a decentralized storage it's just way too slow then you start adding the fact that you have to have large files if you're going to do HC minting so that in a thousand years an original asset can be recalled by Warner Brothers so the big game the big game is just getting started it's not little 12K thumbnails it's it's going to be wall size images and eight terabyte videos so in summary the cgn is efficient you pay for what you use it's scalable it provides true elasticity um it's it's capable it provides no provisioning is required you just install it and then we automatically redirect to the right capable machine to do anything and we're doing stuff like add adding a number of different case studies we'll show you which ones uh they are in a minute but the most important thing is it's really fast and that's what's important for for delivering web 3.0 applications if you're gonna you're ever gonna try to go to Consumers with content I've been doing this for like 30 years it's not easy and to make it fast is really hard so we have a new partnership I'm not I can't name names yet but I will tell you this out of the box very soon we'll be announcing a hundred petabytes of pre-minded decentralized storage that will be available for minting and storing large content that system also includes digital Rights Management and and you'll see that the CPU coin Miner uh will actually and I've had a number of discussions with with storage providers and minors today especially ethereum buyers are looking for something new to do you can install CPU coin now and put it on your mining rig okay that right there will give you a persistent middleware layer with universal API for fast display and high definition nft content that's what that's going to be an API call admit and store and deliver headless I didn't need to have a letter one protocol what I did was I did a deal with my exchanges so mexc you get paid out your minor for WordPress at Shopify is coming testing is live it installs on all windows machines and Ubuntu Linux is available now that's shipped and by the way all the different operating systems give you identical pixel for Pixel results on processing an asset think about that a second if a Linux box processes an asset and a Windows box processing asset try to do that on your own that is not easy it will not be the same this is identical assets now iOS is coming out we weren't going to do it and then the the M1 and M2 Pro Max came out we said wait a second hold on so we're gonna do the Apple version you know why because these machines are Monster boxes they can do incredible things and it can be on your portable at home so it's kind of like Tesla letting your your car drive at night while you're asleep and you're paying for your lease on your Tesla it's the same thing we literally are the Airbnb for compute power and we can have you offset your costs including data center costs for for generating and delivery services there's all kinds of use cases sorry my throat is gone there's all the one that's immediate and I think really an incredible and important opportunity is to actually power HD nft minting so that you can store in multiple destinations uh original assets do the rendition management and deliver that on the fly on demand to any screen size that's going to be very important well there's all kinds of other things on the menu for auto scaling as pump said if you're on AWS you're not you're not uh you're you're not you basically they shut you off on AWS what happens you're down you're off you're out of business sorry it's not decentralized so I submit to you all if you're not on a sharing economy you're not decentralized if you're not if you don't have a dow in your plan you're not persistent very simple so there's all kinds of defy applications including oracles Etc we have a great team some of you probably know Tony Tong he's a great advisor to us
