okay let's get started then we're gonna talk a little bit about digital identity and the power of digital identity um as you heard my name is Sandy Carter and I'm SVP of Unstoppable domains my Twitter handle is here my email is here and my telegram is Sandy Carter all one word so I wanted to tell you a little bit about Unstoppable how many of you guys have heard of Unstoppable domains yay that's awesome so we have uh over 2.5 million domains out there in the wild today we are the largest web3 domain provider in the world we support 10 evm chains and just recently we supported Solana as well and we now have over 400 Partnerships when I started in December we had 41 so we've grown our Partnerships 10 x now before I get started I always like to tell stories so this is a pancake I don't know if you eat pancakes a lot here in Singapore but I have Pancake Day with my daughters every Sunday and one Sunday they brought this pancake picture to me and they said Mom can you make me this pancake and I said of course I can make you that pancake now you're probably laughing because it's not perfect but this is really where we are in web 3. we're in the dial-up phase of web3 so you're probably looking at in the PS um which my daughters love this MVP they ate it and they posted it all over Instagram so today is really about learning and pivoting and making web3 better now for me what I like to do is I learn through pictures and so I wanted to show you a picture of how we view the web3 space today so if you look at the layer cake you can tell I like food right pancakes are now cake in the center of the screen you see this layer cake View and it starts at the bottom of the layer cake with blot chain which for me is where I went down the rabbit hole of web 3 it provides that trusted and secure value exchange sitting on top of that is web3 and web 3 brings into the party decentralization and digital identity and that's what we will be talking about today why is that so important because gaming and the metaverse all sit on top of web 3 to get that digitalization that decentralization and that identity element and then if I was starting a company today I would focus on the user interface I think to get widespread use for web 3 we need to do a better job of making things easier to use surrounding that you see the Dow the um uh the the decentralized autonomous organization I I believe that this is going to become even more important than it is today on both sides of that layer cake you see the two-sided Marketplace so on one side you see the creators like you sir you listen to seahorse with all the creators that are out there today and on the other side of the two-sided Marketplace you see the consumption model that exists so for me this is where I like to see how everything fits together and you can see that everything works together really nicely but where I'm going to focus most of my time today will be on the digital identity I did want to do one slide on blockchain because I do feel it's so important and why is that blockchain so very important today blockchain brings to the table that transparency that's needed in the marketplace today so you can see things on chain for example we had Eva long again who just purchased a domain and then minted it and she wanted to wait for it to be announced but people started tweeting about it and she was like who told them I said well you minted it on the blockchain so everybody knows it also brings into the equation that user ownership and interoperability which is so important and it's immutable so you know when I grew up my parents told me be careful what you post on Facebook we're gonna tell our kids be careful what you put on chain because it's going to be there it's immutable and then finally it's also programmable and just so you know Unstoppable domains today has over 1 million minted domains on polygon of the 2.5 million the restaurant ethereum or layer one today okay so now let's move up to what this talk is about which is on that digital identity so now I've moved up one layer so we are based on blockchain and we help support all the meta verses and the games out there today so now let me chat a little bit about why digital identity is so important so let's imagine we're in a web 2 world and if you think about how you log in today the way you do it is you log in by application right you go to Google you log in who keeps that data not you but Google you log into Facebook with a different username and ID who keeps that data Facebook in fact I was talking to my husband about a party we were going to it's a Texas party which is Cowboys and Cal you know hats and when we got home from talking about it in the car I was already receiving Facebook ads about buying cowboy boots and and hats why was that well I didn't own that data somebody else did so in the web 3 world what happens is you log in with your digital identity it is decentralized and you own that data you decide who gets the data how much data they get and when they get that data now is that important well if you look at just Google and Facebook alone they made a hundred billion US Dollars on that data that is your data so it has a lot of value so let's take a look at what that digital identity is so this is my digital identity and you can see pink Mamba is my gaming name sandy.nft is my domain and you can see everything that's in here my wallets that I have connected my website that's connected my social media data that I can share badges that I've received or awards that I've won for Innovation a lazy lion badge that I have and you see down there women of web 3 I passed a class so I got a badge for that as well but the Magic The Magic occurs on the right hand side that's my permissions so now as I log into an application I decide which of that data is shared with the application not the application deciding for me and for me that is the power that's why I'm here in web 3 is to really take back a lot of this power for the users now what can you do with this digital identity and this domain I have 15 use cases I'm going to fly through them because we only have a few minutes but know that the utility the value of that domain is what's most important so we're going to scan through some of these and as I've even met with people today I've now got more and more use cases as our users are telling stories so one major use case that we have for digital identity is building a decentralized website um you have to use a decentralized browser like Brave or Opera but you can actually build your decentralized website today and use your domain so sandy.

n of T could be my own decentralized website what's the value in that no one can take my website down I have full ownership of that and now today I can actually leverage and use that decentralized website as part of my brand you can see here for Unstoppable women of web 3 for example unstoppablewild3.x if you go out to a brave browser you can pull that up as a decentralized website so that's one use case the second one is something that users have really loved and that is email so I can now use that domain to send and receive and forward email so if I'm uh if I'm a user I can use skiff and send end to end encrypted email using my domain if I'm a company I'm a web 3 company who didn't want to collect email addresses Now using unstoppable's email I can still hide or docs that email address and leverage and use that as well I can also use that domain as my digital business card so today if you introduce yourself to me I could take my phone out this is my sandy.nft domain and you see the QR code on there if you scan the QR code information about me comes up my Twitter handle my email now if I like you I'll give you all of this information maybe if I don't I'll bring up an alternative View and decide to share less with you because I don't maybe want you to email me for example so you can also use this digital identity to log in so for example into a metaverse or a game like uh Atlantis now imagine I can take that same domain though and I can also log into a defy application so the same domain gets me into a game a metaverse a defy app or if you've used huddle which is like Zoom for web 3 I can also log in with that over 400 different applications I can now log into and one of my very favorite use cases is this family wallet created by Blue Studio we created this together to have families have permissions together so that grandparents and parents and kids and aunts and uncles can all come together do Learn to Earn and can also drive that learning and that wide scale adoption also a funny story we were doing a Twitter space on the announcement and I told everybody how Sunday night I gather my parents and my brother and sister-in-law and my kids together and we do a session on crypto and everybody started asking us for a family Dow template so now also available here is a family doll template as well and then you can also do branding so we're seeing a lot of celebrities out there who are now minting and buying these to Showcase that they know what's going on in the web 3 space and using this as well for Branding opportunity now I've told you about all the use cases that are here today but what about the future so let's think and imagine other things we could see in that digital identity what about education we're working with a university now what if your diploma was stored in your digital identity one of my daughters recently took a class at a community college in high school and I wanted to get the transcript for that college course so that she could get credit and guess what I called them up to get it and they asked me to fax them information who out there even knows where there's a fax machine it took me longer to find a fax machine to fax it than it was to send it and get it crazy right so what if you had that stored in your digital identity okay so now imagine I just met with a hundred Healthcare startups and they're putting Health Care data on nfts 60 of people are misdiagnosed because a doctor doesn't have all the information about the patient so what if you had all that and you're traveling to Singapore what if you broke your leg and you could just provide that to a doctor you didn't have to call back to the states to get all that information think about ticketing if I just went to a major rugby tournament or Cricket tournament and I wanted that ticket in my digital identity to show everybody where I had been the use cases here are are unlimited I would love to hear yours as well as we go forward because there are so many things that could happen and you guys are all early to the space so you get to watch help create as we take web 3 to the next level so I always like to end my presentations on what are my predictions for next year so here are my predictions around digital identity one I believe that digital identity will become the gateway to web3 we're already seeing tons of web 2 companies coming wanting to engage in a digital identity discussion because they see that as a way to bring their web to customers along with them two I believe that Asia will explode in this space and I believe we'll get an additional 10 million digital identity folks here in Asia alone I think only unmatched by the Middle East three we're gonna see more web 2 companies even more than we're seeing already you saw that from the dancing seahorse how many web 2 companies want to come in and I think that you're going to see more and more web 2 companies come in through that digital identity and then last but not least is I do believe that governments who do today look at a government ID will eventually go to a digital ID and use that web 3 category to help them out in that space um so in conclusion I do believe that self-sovereign identity is inevitable in fact I would go so far as to say that digital identity is a human right thank you so much for your time today I wanted to make
