well is it a surprise at all we're talking about wet three I mean everyone is talking about web 3 right um web feed is on every mouth per site now I really want to figure out I mean whether it's just a simple marketing move marketing call or is it something more profound than that so let's find out and uh I invite you to get a little bit back in time in 1986. and I remember I was 12 at that time uh web Point 1.0 was born and at that time it was very simple static websites static pages and we were thrilled to see pictures on top of text a nicely laid out pages but everything was simple very full of you know useful information but the thing is the technology was so hard that it would require uh programmers and Geeks to to get it done now about 20 years later the Web 2.0 the web as we know it it's all about social network work gaming online courses a lot of contents the thing is you can post photos you can tweet you can do whatever you want you can share uh your moments and everything but everything has been recorded and processed for corporate use okay so it all takes place in in centralized platforms for say and it's the era of the monetization of personal data but say hey it's Rich engaging and Speedy so yeah we're still enjoying it right now right and by the way even worse I mean your mobile phone your most trusted companion I mean it keeps on sending information to Google as to where you are what you like and even what you're up to so basically web 3 says no to all of this and yes that includes the part where you get to stream continuous contents uh Rich videos online courses gaming uh you 120 FPS games well with wet 3 that is all over and you see um web 3 is all about decentralization and this is actually about people owning their data uh and of course if you were to give away even half of the performance that we got from Web 2.0 I mean I'll be I'll be safe to to you know to save my data from from Big corporations so this is a more profound thing than you know wet 3 is more profound than just a marketing call and actually it turns the tables it's not only a new foundational layer of the World Wide Web uh it's also also giving back uh the people full ownership of their data and is actually a new paradigm for privacy protection as you can imagine it now you were merely products and beneficiaries or some tech platform and now you'll be coming with red 3 with you're becoming owners and real Builders of digitally new uh and unique assets so how corporations will make money uh well what uh you know are they supposed to make money out of of the data no you can't do that in web 3 because there was there would be no user data collection and no more cookies so it's also a new paradigm for businesses in the sense that it would change everything in terms of corporate governance even business models and stakeholder participation because you need those users to be participating in what you're doing okay now that's a a world that we we foresee and we ideally it's what we want but actually and there's a lot of hype I mean we're talking about web3 everywhere I mean just before me I mean we talked about web 3-2 and there's a lot of tremendous things coming right but now we need to overcome a couple of challenges and we have important problems to solve in the first place before we move on to real web 3 and to the ideal world I was describing so it this requires web 3 requires deep and challenging shift in our approach to personal data management so I give you a hint about it of course you would have on chain and off-chain data off-chain data identity health records degrees whatever you call it assets as well you saw it before in the presentation just before me it's all about managing data you know outside the chain and then tokenize everything on a chain of course but then what we require actually is to go even deeper than that because not only would you require a secure wallet but for instance if you would want a space where you would want to store a lifetime of data we'd rather talk about a vault than than wallet so wallet seems to be the first thing and it seems like we have it today but then uh how I mean how could it be extended to other things than just cryptos now safe storage seems to be a another requirement and that's a huge one because it like I said it would require to hold a lifetime of personal data so it could be decentralized and I suppose we have solutions for that that needs to be improved over time but then there will be a need for more interoperability because the next thing that is required as well is a you know some kind of organization and governance in order for trusted uh organizations to validate the data so it could be legitimate Central authorities for example um that will uh you know be able to issue I don't know driving license degrees whatever and in the same time we'll be able to uh take it away if something happened something wrong happens talking about a lot driving license for example uh you could have your driving license at one point and you failed uh you do something wrong you know on the road and then some authorities uh would be able to take him away from you okay so it's just a matter of creation validation verification and maintenance after all now another thing that is even deeper and it's been more difficult to overcome it's probably uh the lives related to the life cycle of people I mean you're born you grow up and then at one point you die so in order for the the data to be initialized and accessed after you pass away you need some kind of a delegation system that could be very sophisticated so it would be you know uh you know in the form of a multi uh Key Management something but I mean things can go wrong right I mean what I mean is web 3 would require from the user a lot of responsibility I mean it's your stuff it's your data and requires a lot of responsibility uh the same way as you have a tendency to forget your password I mean I do forget my password sometimes too uh um then we would need to be very responsible so we probably would need some mechanism behind the scenes to um uh you know to avoid this kind of uh a trap like you know uh you heard about stories about uh you know coins being stuck in a wallet and nobody could could take it away because the guy has just forgotten his password okay this shouldn't happen I mean we're talking no we're not just talking about token we're not just talking talking about money money is important I guess but personal data is even more important so we need to make progress on that um now like I said web3 it's all it's really in its infancy I mean it's nascent it's a nascent science per se I mean you heard a lot about the hype around wet 3 and everything but actually we have barely gotten past the conceptual stage and take a look at uh the web 3 landscape for now I mean those companies would come to be read three some of them are really wet three uh have a look at the digital identity infrastructure I mean those guys are tremendous I mean they're doing a very good job in trying to uh make sure the foundational um you know the foundation of web free is is well uh implemented then for the rest of it as you can see it it's really limited to nfts and cryptocurrencies now what about arrest well at law token we want to take this to another level so not only with nfts and cryptos and we started as a crypto exchange by the way we want to take it to another level uh by targeting retail higher net worth and B2B as well so our ambition as you can read it is to become uh people's most trusted and Innovative digital assets Marketplace in the web 3 economy the web free economy is the is the the economy I was talking about it's a world where you don't make money out of personal data but you make money out of services and by using personal data in order to enhance and augment the quality of your services so we started as a French regulated uh centralized exchange and we mainly work on on three areas so the first area of course is trading because we started as a in exchange and we tend to be we started in centralized way but now we want to be an aggregator in in centralized and decentralized finance the second area we're working on is digital Asset Management and the third one is digital assets investment and of course I mean those people would not have the same objective after all but the core of it I mean doing everything and everything we have a Decor what we do is wet three and it's precisely wet three with personal data used in the right way so we require a lot of interoperability around so that's why we can't be alone in building this in this ecosystem that's why we have a lot of Partners as well and that's why we talk to The Regulators as well because you would need some sort of uh you know legitimacy in the end of validation in in a validation process now we used to be law token Now ladies and gentlemen I'm giving you the new name the new name for law token is DaVinci of course it's a it's something related to Leonardo obviously um and the reason why we needed a new brand uh architecture is because like I said we used to tackle retail now we want to go for uh the high net worth and and B2B as well and we actually created the right user experience and the right level of granularity in the data in order to address their requirements so on the one hand for the high net worth and B2B you have the DV Suite The DaVinci Suite that will supposedly unleash Pro's potential and law token as an exchange is actually on the LT Suite uh and then we have much more to to uh to implement and and to release uh we have a launch pad where we help start up tokenizing their uh their their their assets and uh you know um monitoring the uh the efficiency of the tokenization we also uh getting into payments as well so we actually uh you know uh implementing all sort of things that's related that that makes it possible with with web 3.
so this is a renewed ambition that we have and and precisely it takes big time it takes a lot of effort a lot of interrupter really like I said a lot of partnership as well a lot of talk to the governments a lot of talk to uh the incumbent as well um so we really want to make the bridge between the traditional finance and the new Finance uh using web 3. so there is a little bit of indication to to make of course now in order to do all of this I was presented as a chief strategy officer well I have the pleasure to say that now I'm the chief executive officer and this is a link to uh to to the awesome team we have there uh Nicholas laforte he's the uh EXO and he's the guy who's appointed me as the as the CEO because he apparently liked the strategy I established so I'm very honored and very proud to work with a team like that and uh like I said we'll stop about after all so ladies and gentlemen to know more about what we do I mean I'd invite you to go to a boothy's uh aim m89 I think so it's just all over the place there and uh if you want to talk to us we will have the pleasure to answer all your questions thank you very much
