About Uh it's a wallet.
Uh it's it's a super app.
about Jupiter. Okay.
Um how do I It's called Italy. Sorry, guys. See it while while it's going up. Oh, thank you. While it's going up Yeah, I'm AG.
I'm from Jupiter. I run community initiatives and do a bit of growth initiatives there as well. And before I begin, first of all, amazing venue, amazing city. I would like to thank Control Shift organizers, Solana team Italy, uh Maldo for the kind words. Monkeys together strong.
So, yeah. Thank you, guys, for having me here. And Just a second. Let's wait for my slides to go up. Sorry, guys.
It's not here. Yeah, it's there. Yes. Thank you so much, guys. All right.
Yeah. Okay, now it's working. So, uh yeah, I'm just here to give a little bit of overview uh of Jupiter for those of you who don't know much about it and hope it's not so boring for those of you who know about Jupiter. So, let's get into it. Ah, okay.
Uh, I'd like to start with a little analogy. So, uh, I think it's been a while for all of you since you actually went to the hotel websites one by one to evaluate your options for accommodation. These days people usually go to booking.com or hotels.com or Airbnb or Nomads, the uh, Solana native booking aggregator.
And the principle is simple. You have all the hotel deals in one place, you get all the best prices and it's much easier to choose an accommodation option this way. It saves you a lot of time. It saves you money most of the time and it's just better experience. So, uh, the thing is money has a very similar problem.
So, whenever you want to switch one token to another, especially on Solana, there are hundreds of liquidity venues, liquidity pools. You have uh, DEXes like Radium, you have retail liquidity pools on Meteora. There are literally hundreds of options. So, for you to get the best price, uh, theoretically, you would need to go through each of them one by one. Uh, and by the time you're done, you probably need to start again because prices change dynamically all the time very quickly.
So, it's Yes, sorry. Yes, yes. Check. Check. Yeah, I should probably close it hold it closer to my mouth.
Sorry. Yeah. So, yeah, prices change dynamically and by the time you're done, you probably need to start over. And this is exactly the problem that Jupiter decided to solve back in 2021. Again, it's a very simple idea.
An aggregator that scans the whole Solana network, scans all the liquidity sources on the network, and finds the best price for you in a matter of milliseconds every time for every trade. And not only it finds the best price on the network, if needed, it also optimizes the transaction route itself. Uh it can split a transaction. It can uh transfer it through another token. For example, I have 1,000 USDC and I want to buy Solana, and perhaps I will get a better exchange rate if I swap through USDT.
So, the swap will go through USDC to USDT to Solana. And I can get more Solana for this 1,000 USDC. Or perhaps there is a liquidity pool with a really good swap rate, but the liquidity is not deep enough there. So, if I swap the entire $1,000, uh I will probably be affected by price impact and end up having even less Solana than I would have otherwise. So, what Jupiter would do in this case, it would take a small chunk of my USDC, put it in that pool, and route the rest of the transaction through alternate sources.
And again, all this happens almost instantly. Uh the quote you see is most of the times the execution price you would get. This is something that Jupiter also pays a lot of attention to. And with the latest update of our engine, it's as close to what you see is what you get as it's currently possible. Um Another important point is that as opposed to centralized exchanges, Jupiter is completely decentralized.
So, it doesn't hold your money. It has no control over it. You simply connect it and um make a swap, then you can disconnect from Jupiter. Uh you always keep full custody of your funds. No one can freeze them.
No one can take them away from you. And this is unfortunately something that sometimes happens with centralized venues. So, this was how Jupiter started in 2021. But, starting from 2023, uh the vision for Jupiter became slightly more ambitious. And we are currently on the path to became the everything app or the super app on Solana and crypto in general.
So, swaps are still here. They're not going away. Still the one of the most important focuses for Jupiter, one of the most important business segments for Jupiter. And as it was in the beginning, it's optimized for user experience and for user safety. So, for example, Ultra V3, the latest um engine, the fees are very low.
It's up to 0.1% and for that 0.1% you get real-time slippage estimation, which is important, especially on Solana because again, prices change all the time. Uh MEV protection and a bunch of other features. Um A part another part of uh sport functionality are limit orders.
It's basically a quality of life feature which allows you to set up uh a certain price that you want to acquire an asset on for and just keep it on hold. So, for example, I want to buy BTC for $60,000 per BTC and it's not there yet. Well, hopefully it won't get there, but let's say I'm counting that it will. So, I set up a limit order, I go to sleep, and I don't care when it executes. I don't have to be in front of the desktop.
Uh DCA functions in a similar way. Uh you simply set uh set up a schedule and uh it buys the selected assets in accordance with the schedule. So, let's say I want to buy $50 worth of Solana every day for the next month. So, this is what it does. And my personal favorite portfolio um is a completely free Jupiter product.
One of the best public goods provided by Jupiter, I would say. And what it does basically, it gives you the whole overview of all of your assets on Solana in one place. So, whatever protocols you used like yesterday or 5 years ago, whenever whatever you have money uh whatever airdrops you're eligible for uh you can see it all in portfolio. And funny thing, there were quite a few people who found some significant amounts of money uh dozens of thousands of dollars in some cases which they didn't even know they had because they were found like, for example, in Magic Eden sitting there. And yeah, so it can be beneficial as well in many ways, not just to have an overview of your whole portfolio.
Then uh with Jupiter mobile that was launched um I think like 18 months ago. And it launched as a very simple app. The idea was to make it the fastest and the easiest mobile wallet on the market which I think Jupiter succeeded in doing. These days it's a bit more complicated. It's becoming more like a control center for any of your Solana activities.
So one of the prominent features are sent and of course you could send assets on Solana since day one but what you can do with magic link is you can do it by simply creating a QR code or a link and send it to anyone. Perhaps that person doesn't even have a wallet but they can still receive your money. They will get the QR code or the link. They will install the wallet in one click and once they do the money will be sitting there already. Then Jupiter card that was launched in January and um I think last week it was launched in Europe.
So right now we are in the test batch phase so only like 20,000 of wait list uh uh submissions were approved. We are going to wait for a couple of weeks. If everything goes well and so far it does uh it's going to be available to everyone in the European Union Italy included and I would really encourage you to try it out. In my opinion it's a no-brainer. So first of all there are zero fees except for visas uh foreign exchange fees which vary from 1% to 1.
8%. And then on top of that uh you get uh 4% cash back and 4% is just the beginning. It's available to anyone and you can get it up to 10%. Mm with referrals. And also many new features like something you would expect from your uh regular credit card like lounge access, free subscriptions, uh stuff like that that will be coming as well.
Again, it's a very very uh early product, but I think it already already has some potential. So, definitely try it out. It's free to join and it definitely saves you a bunch of money. Um Okay, sorry.
[snorts]
Um Another thing that Jupiter expanded to is they lending and borrowing market. Uh also available in your mobile by the way. So, let's say I have 1,000 USDC just sitting idle in my wallet. I'm not planning to spend them anytime soon. And instead of them just sitting there, I can put them into a lending vault and earn from 4 to 6% annual interest.
So, in a matter of half a year, it can be 1,030 dollars. And another thing that we launched uh just recently Offer Book, which is basically peer-to-peer lending and borrowing. Uh so, let's say I have a monkey NFT and I really need $500 really urgently and there's nowhere I can get them. I have no liquid uh mhm, capital. So, what I can do with Offer Book, I can put it as a collateral, ask for $500 with some APY on top.
And if there is a willing lender, I can get these $500 in a matter of like minutes, maybe hours, and then uh return it in a few days when I get my liquid capital. So, this uh unlocks the entire new class of assets that were not really mm liquid before. And you can do that with NFTs, you can do that with Pokémon cards, with a bunch of meme coins. It's very accessible in that sense. Uh Now, of course, uh stocks.
So, as you probably noticed last Friday, SpaceX launched on Solana as well. And I think in the first I don't remember it was either 12 or 24 hours, but uh around $50 million went through Jupiter in volume just for SpaceX. And also, uh there were some issues reported for Coinbase and Robinhood users who couldn't really access the uh stock because of the overload of the system. But, fortunately, due to its decentralized nature, there were no such problems on Solana and Jupiter specifically. And we are working closely with x stocks, with back- backpack, and there will be more assets of this sort coming very soon to Solana and Jupiter.
Then, uh prediction markets that were launched [snorts] um I think in February. And they're coming out the beta mm should be next week. And there is a bunch of features rolled out today for the World Cup. So, if you are in prediction markets, uh you may check them check them out. Some exclusive markets that are not available on Polymarket, who is our primary partner.
But, uh again, this is not a financial advice. Check it out. I don't urge you to actually do anything. There are risks involved, and please be aware of them. You can lose your money easily.
And perhaps even more riskier, again, not a financial advice, just talking about technology here. So, basically leverage trading uh with up to 250x leverage, which is crazy. And definitely not recommended on major crypto assets. And also um I will probably touch on it later, but something else is coming for perps and general selection of assets available on Jupiter. Uh so, um as of today, Jupiter has done more than 1 trillion liquidity in volume uh on Solana.
Um Last year, we counted 43 million active wallets, which doesn't equal users, of course, and we don't really know how many people are actually behind these wallets. Uh but hopefully more than one. And uh 24 billion in volume in 24 hours, that was our busiest day uh so far. It was on January 19, 2025, and does any of you remember what happened on that day? Yep, Trump coin.
So, yeah, it was a very controversial event from many standpoints. But I do think that it was a very important milestone for Solana in general, because I think it was the first stress test of the scale. Uh and the scale was insane. It was a pretty big onboarding event. We saw uh well, dozens of thousands of people who were unfamiliar with crypto buying the token and then going to our support team because they had no idea what's happening.
And um Also, I think it's very important that instead of going to a centralized exchange or some other venue, uh the team behind the Trump coin, they chose Solana and they chose Jupiter and Meteora stack to launch it. And I think this is also a great testament uh to the future of decentralization and the future of Solana. And just to give you a bit of perspective how much 24 billion per day actually is, so Coinbase on a regular month does 80 to 100 billion in a month and 25% of that volume was done within 24 hours on Jupiter. So, now it's almost there, I would say. We're trying to make it an everything app.
It's It went from a very simple interface with basically a couple of UI elements, which allowed you to swap one token into another, into a pretty complex venue where you can do anything crypto-related, anything DeFi-related, anything on-chain-related. And why do we believe that uh this approach is the right one, at least for us? Two of our main goals uh for this year and probably for the coming year are first of all to expand outside of Solana and while It's just that we want to bring more assets to Solana in first place. So, that initiative is covered by uh Global Unified Markets or Jup net, JVM, built on top of SVM. And the idea is to provide the same swap experience as you would get for Solana tokens, but uh for any other chains.
So, you can easily swap any amount of BTC into any amount of ETH uh ETH instantly, without any lags, with minimal fees, with the best prices that you can get anywhere on the internet. And another initiative is to go mainstream, to go to people who are not yet familiar with crypto, or maybe just starting out. And to onboard them in a in an effective and safe way. And we believe that being an everything app, a super app, serves this purpose very well, because instead of uh doing a research on hundreds of amazing and great protocols that there are on Solana, they can get the basic understanding of the basic DeFi and crypto concepts in one place. And uh it might not be the uh all of these products might not be perfect in their specific niches, and we recognize that.
But we think it's important to give the overall idea to those who are new to crypto. And uh I also wanted to mention that uh since last year, we've been working pretty closely with uh the companies that we consider mainstream and closer to TradFi than to crypto previously. Uh and just some highlights from uh those interactions. So, uh as you may know, it was announced uh several months ago, Coinbase and Robinhood uh Solana transactions are routed via Jupiter. Uh Visa's partnership with Jupiter allowed us to release the Jupiter cards, and we had some uh amazing terms with the team, so thanks to them.
Uh Jump and Securitize are going to work with Jupiter even closer on uh releasing uh tokenized stocks and other real-world assets for that matter. And that's pretty much it. And uh you can take the super app with you right now. Just scan the QR code. Uh Uh, it'll take you to the landing page, and also, uh, there will be some fun, uh, raffles and contests tonight at the side event.
So, it might be really useful to you to have those. Thank you so much, guys. Thank you.
[applause]
Uh, thank you. You can You can see him where we're I'm going to just say one thing. Uh, thank you so much, AJ. It's coming from, uh, from Berlin. Here just for, uh, for having, uh, for for showing us Jupiter.
And, as a token of appreciation, if anybody here wants to build anything on Jupiter, uh, we have lots of API keys for free that we can give out. So, if anybody wants to use like Have you Have you Have you guys seen how how much stuff they do? You don't have to build anything from scratch if you want to build something and you want to to build it on on Jupiter, just come find me. I'll I'll give you a free API keys that you can use for for the next 6 to 8 months. So, thank you, AJ.
And we'll I'll open for the questions.
[applause]
I have I have a I have a question for I have a question for, uh, for you, man. Uh, so, we spoke about, uh, how how's important to, uh, bring the crypto on directly on your on your phones. Uh, but I wanted to know more about your experience with crypto coming directly on your phone because, uh, I'm always been, uh, very very, uh, PC user rather than, uh, phone user when it comes to crypto. But, as of right now, I see many many companies actually moving directly their services onto mobile phones. So, what's your take on that?
Yeah. That's funny that you asked that. So, yesterday we hosted, uh, a purpose trading contest. Uh, not yesterday, on Saturday in Berlin. And there were 25 people who qualified.
Uh, more than half of them came with really complicated setups, like laptops with a lot of software installed with graphs, strategies outlined, and all the four finalists, they were using Jupp mobile, which is pretty simple, and they were the top four who who were better traders, basically. And uh I it was initially a bit of a difficult step for me as well, because I'm also a desktop user, and to this day, most of my stuff I do on desktop, but uh it's also great to have Jupp mobile and when I'm on the go or when I have my uh desktop at home, let's say, and I'm on a walk, I can do pretty much the same things uh on the mobile. It's just that it takes uh a bit of time, maybe, to to get used to it. So, I think it's important to have
[snorts]
this sort of uh full range functionality in your pocket. Uh it doesn't have to be your preferred interface, but it can be your emergency interface.
Any other questions? Yes.
Uh hi. I want to know if you have any plans for the Italian community about Jupp in the next month or next year, something especially for Italy.
Yes. So, we have a plan tonight uh thanks to the guy from guys from Solana Italy. Uh we are uh contributing to the amazing event that they're organizing tonight, and it's going to be a real fun. And I would say that this is just the beginning. So, uh I know that uh Solana Italy has a lot of plans uh for the next month, for the rest of the year, and I would say that Jupp is definitely interested to help with whatever we can and to contribute with whatever we can.
[applause]
Any Yes.
Grazie. Thank you. Um I have a question. I worked on a project about the circular economy, circularity, and the intelligent artificial intelligence. Uh the project is related to container ships.
Uh dismissals and the scrap yards. So, and then upcycling recycling them um throughout the process of circular economy. The idea is also to create like a tokenization for for the the container ships. Mhm. Uh so, in some sort of way.
And it's under investigation like all the process. Um I was thinking how Solana can be integrated. So, I'm not a developer. I'm I'm not a genius guy.
This is an amazing question actually.
a market entrepreneur. I have a good with a business idea. Uh how can Solana write if as a already made the platform for us to for example upload like the container ship characteristics, uh breaking tokens, and for me like uh keep you know the circular economy through you know not only upcycling with the bicycle or other products, but also under the economical point of view to to make extra profits for this circular economy, yeah. Thank you. Yeah.
So, this is a great question actually and uh uh I don't think I can speak for the entire Solana network. I don't think I can speak for the Solana Foundation. I'm not the right person for that. But, uh when it comes to tokenization of real world assets like container ships, uh this is uh another venue that we're actively exploring with Overbook that I mentioned earlier. So, right now we have very close partnerships with leading platforms for tokenizing cards, like Pokémon cards, One Piece cards, basketball cards.
And they've been getting incredible response so far. The idea is that we let their users, the Pokémon card card holders, let's say, to borrow against their collateral without losing it. And it can be applied pretty much to anything. It can be applied to stocks, it can be applied to real estate, it can be applied to cars, to container ship as well. So, things like that in TradFi, for example, when it comes to Pokémon cards borrowing, you have to go to a pawn shop and there is so much friction in the process.
With tokenized cards on Solana, you can get it you can get a you can borrow money against your asset in a couple of clicks. And I do believe that this is one of the areas where blockchain and DeFi excel compared to traditional markets. And if you would like to learn more, please reach out to me because I'm definitely interested to introduce you to the Offer Book team. They are very actively looking for all sorts of tokenized real world assets that uh people would be interested to borrow against. And yeah, I think that it'll be another great opportunity.
Thank you.
[applause]
Anyone else want to speak with the amazing AG that we have here today? Or we can we can go with the with next talk. Before we we go next, want to say big thank for Super Simon there, straight from Canada. It's a
[applause]
straight from Canada. It It's the head of Superteam Canada and he was in Berlin and he decided to come here and experience Naples as well. So, hopefully we can we can chat with him later. But, yeah, want to present the next speaker. Thank you, AJ.
