Hi everyone, Soie here. So today we'll be building OpenClaw agents. By the end of this tutorial, you'll have an agent that is able to buy and sell tokens on base with his own wallet and funds, of course. We're going to start off with what is OpenClaw. So OpenClaw is an AI framework that allows you to spin up your own agent.

What makes it special is that these agents are able to live in their own server. They're able you're able to speak to them using Telegram or WhatsApp, whatever you choose. It has persistent memory, browser control, and full system access. Also, you're able to use skills and plugins for your agent as well. But we've had agents for a little while now uh in AI.

So, what makes this special? So, what makes OpenCore special is its architecture. The architecture has a heartbeat and memory. Heartbeat is where the agent will write any chron jobs that you want the agent to do. So maybe specifically you want it to write an email to you every morning.

This is where it will write it directly in the heartbeat. And then a memory is when you're talking to the agent and you want it to memorize something. It will store that memory where it's a and it's able to retrieve it again at a later point in time which I think is really cool. So, we said that the agents are able to run on their own server. So, I'm going to show you guys how I set my server up.

I'm just using Digital Ocean today. Um, I'm using a droplet. I'm just going to choose the region that I'm in. Then, I'm just going to have a very basic setup. You do not have to be spending a lot of money every month to do this or you don't need to buy a new MacBook Mini.

Um, so this gives you a good opportunity to just test it out. Then you can pick your security method that you feel most comfortable with. Then of course you would hit create droplet. I've already made mine. So I'm going to show you guys how to SSH into your server and install openclaw uh via the CLI.

Great. So all I did was SSH into the server using the IP address that I got from Digital Ocean. Entered my password and I'm in. So now what I need to do is go back to the docs. I'm just going to copy this command right here and paste it directly into my terminal and we'll start the openclaw installer.

All right, so that took a little bit of time, but we're here now. So once it's installed, it will give you a big security warning. Please do read it. It's important. Remember that this is all very new, so we want to make sure we're taking um the best precaution.

Then I'm going to use the quick start on boarding guide. For today I'm going to use anthropic but I have also used moonshot and I really I actually really liked moonshot but I'm just going to use anthropic today. So I'm just going to select this. I'm going to put in the anthropic API key. The next step is I'm going to select a channel um that I want to speak to my agent.

I am going to skip this one for now because I'll just be using the command line today. And then I'm going [clears throat] to just use npm and as a starter skill I will be using let's see GitHub that's a good one. Then I won't be adding any extra API keys here as well. The one thing I do want to bring out is you may have seen videos of people having their agents give them a call or leave them voice notes. The way that they're doing that is using the 11 Labs API.

So, if you want to do anything with voice, you would definitely need the 11 Labs API. I'm going to skip the hooks for now. So, I'm going to be hatching my agents in the terminal window. So, I'll just select that one. Amazing.

So, I'm going to give my agent a name. I'm going to think it's going to be called Bassy because I'm very creative. Have Bassy here. So, now how am I going to get Bassy a wallet? I'm just going to ask it quite honestly.

Make yourself uh [clears throat] Athereum wallet. Amazing. So, with just one very basic and quite honestly not very strong prompt, it was able to create its own wallet. Give me its wallet address. So, I'm going to send it some money.

And now we're going to get it transacting. Great. So I'm going to ask Bassy, what is your wallet balance and what tokens do you hold? Amazing. So it was able to give me its wallet.

how much is in its wallet, it's ETH and USDBC balance that I sent to it. Um, and then what I want to do is I'm going to I'm going to ask it to swap some USDC for ETH on base. Perfect. So, I was able to execute the swap. It was able to give me the I had to ask it for the base hand links and this all went through.

So, in the next video, what we're going to do is we're going to expand on the very basic things that we've learned here. We've learned the wallet setup. We've learned how to um swap like very simply and then also just sending uh making sure that the agent can send. So, in the next video, what I really want to do is go through like more complex swaps for the agent. So, how can we set that up?

And how can we do that with a skill?
