Hi everyone and welcome to this new video where we will be talking about how to use spend permissions with X402 to make API calls. Uh today I will be showing you this agent that allows you to find deep kind of like specific job offers using excel.ai which is a great API for for web scraping for web search and I will be showing how that works. So you will be given a little spend permission it could be a few dollars per day to your agent so that I can pull up funds from your wallet and make these calls. How's that work?
We will see in this video. So as you can see I have the base app open here and this has a link to an in grock tunnel. So in grock tunnel is when you have your app that is deployed locally and you want to create a tunnel from your local environment to test. So this is the app. We will see how it looks.
You know this is just a very basic kind of UI. You get to sign in with base here on the base app. Okay and then once you've signed in you get to specify a daily spend permission so that we kind of use this amount of dollars in USDC to pay for the X402 credits. Let's see how that works. Okay so here we are then you will be able to kind of paste some of your experience or whatever you're looking for or like your raw CV to find some of the best job offers on the web.
It's also optimized to find some of the best offers in the last month. So now you just put together a description or just your CV right for it to find you the roles. Let me just paste something that I put together with another LLM here. I just basically describes the role of a crypto devrel in my set of skills and let's see if it's going to find something. So now it's searching.
Let's let it search for a little while and I'll be back. So now that it's done searching you can see here this is a list of somewhat relevant positions of what I'm looking for and definitely list them by um how new they are. And so this is why this tool I think could be very interesting and this is why this is different from using Google. You can sort through multiple websites. You can target specific websites with excel.
ai. It's the kind of like search tool that is very AI native and today you can pay for it with stable coins on base. I think this is pretty cool and it's great that actually the base app supports this kind of use case today so you can build your own agents that call multiple different API keys and you can have the users perhaps start paying for some of those calls if you want to avoid fraud and you can use that and allow base app users to use your spend permissions to pull out funds from their wallets. So um this is what I wanted to show you today. The way it works obviously on the back end as we can see here there are X402 payment queries that are being done and settled on chain.
Uh I didn't write one line of code in this codebase honestly. So a lot of it was using the docs from CDP, the docs from X402, the docs from base account and the docs from excel.ai. And so that's it. I will put all the links in the comments below and thank you for following.
