Hi everyone and welcome to this new video where we will be deploying an SPL Salana token and we will be deploying the ERC20 equivalent of that token on base and we will be bridging that token to base. So I will show you everything how it works. This video goes a little bit deeper than if you're using flaunt or if you're using IR drrome. If you're someone who doesn't want to go deep into the details and just wants to use a tool to deploy their token, definitely go on flaunch, go on alrome, go on the easy deployers. This is more a little bit deeper into the weeds so that you can understand a little bit what what happens in the background.

So let's let's dive in directly. We have uh this is terminally on chain that I deployed a week ago uh for to go with the launch. So this was a this is a very cool tool that I use myself. I actually prefer to Salana CLI right now. I just keep like five code in with it and and add in new command lines to it.

Uh because uh the Salana CLI uh you need a private key uh or a key barrier that's that's on a JSON file. And I just prefer to kind of like have the experience where I have my connected wallet here and I run these these CLI commands. So I keep making it better. I keep adding stuff. Definitely check it out terminallyonchain.

com. And one of the things that I added is actually deploy SPL. So with this command line, you can deploy an SPL token. And so we know that SPL tokens have their, you know, data that lives off chain. So uh um this is I'm going to put in name and symbol, but they're not necessarily something that uh will influence the way it looks on the explorer.

I'm I'm learning about Salana and also the way things are indexed uh and how different it is than the Ethereum world. But regardless, we're going to deploy an SPL token on DevNet. So all of this is going to happen on DevNet and uh we'll see we'll see what what are going to be the next steps. So deploy SPL token. Let's put a name call it based uh and the symbol is base and so we should put also uh the third one is decimal.

So all of this is in how to use um and if it's not I will add it. So uh deploy SPL based deploy SPL the symbol is based and then the decimals are going to be let's say 10 and we put the supply as uh 100,000. So that is what will happen here. And so the thing is all of this supply gets minted to your wallet. Uh so this is how I I I made this command to work and I'll just hit execute and we will see that uh this token is going to be minted to roll it and here we go.

Uh we have we pay some gas fees and rent I suppose uh and you get 100,000 uh units of this unknown token. Great. Uh we will see what gives us back in the locks. So here we can see the associated token account and if you go in your wallet you will be able to see uh the token. I borrowed multiple tokens while I'm testing.

Uh I think probably this is the last one. Um yeah. So let's say this is the mint address of this token. Let's go to orb which is a very cool explorer. actually still lacking on the DevNet side, but uh shout out to Helas for this uh nice explorer built on Salana.

Amazing. So, this is our token and what we will do is that we will go on the crosschain ERC20 factory on base Sapoleia. If you are doing this on mainet, you would need to use the contract address on mainet. So all of these contracts addresses are in the docs. I'll put the link below.

And so you can find here baseia crosschain ERC20 factory. Copy this address. Go to baseoleia explorer. And then you can see the the crosschain ERC20 factory uh on baseia. And then you can hit contract write contract as proxy.

Uh connect your wallet. I'm going to go into connect my Coinbase wallet here and hit deploy. So, it asks you for something called remote token. What is remote token? Remote token is the representation um of the Salana mint address token uh on base.

And so, how do you do that? Um it's not hard because I made it into a tool also in in the terminal. So what you can do is remote token and this and then hit execute and you will get the 32 bytes. Amazing. You copy it and you go here and then you should type the name and you should keep the name similar on Salana.

There's no difference between Salana and base in terms of naming. Just keep the same name. Why would you call it wrapped or whatever? just keeping the same name. The decimals are 10.

Okay. And then we write and that will deploy the contract view transaction. Let's see. Let's wait for it to get included. Great.

So this is our token that was deployed on base Solia. This is the equivalent by the way. This is the ERC20 equivalent address. uh on base Sapoleia and so I'm just going to keep it here and now we have an SPL token that was deployed and we have an ERC20 token that's equivalent of it that was deployed and so all we have to do is try to bridge and you guessed it I have a command for bridging too for any random token so this is the command And I'm using an old one, but I'm go we're going to change it. So, uh, let me see here.

So, you can see here how to use. And yeah, this is the command we're using here. Bridgen, uh, random tokens. And so, what you would do is you put this here. So, this represents the mint address on Salana.

And this represents the destination address of where you want to send these tokens. And this is the remote address of your ERC20 on base. So again, we're going to pick up the address of the mint token on Salana. This is the destination. Where do you want after you bridged these tokens?

This is the amount of token we're bridging. We got to bridge let's say 10, right? After you've bridged, where do you want them to land? Um, yeah, I'm using the same address here from my Coinbase wallet. So, uh, this address, just making sure that it's the same.

And then the remote address. So, remote token on base. The remote token on base is this one. And so I'm copying it here and pasting and the decimals are 10. Okay.

So we hit execute and we see what happens. And as you can see there is this uh wallet popup that comes up. We're sending 10 unknown tokens and we're paying. Great. Confirm.

And so all we have to do now is wait for the tokens to land on my wallet address on base on baseia. And so I'm going to copy my wallet address here and I'll put it here. And let's see if we actually received the ERC20 tokens. As we can see here, 7 seconds ago, we got them. So 10 based tokens and that's it.

That's how you do it. The only thing that you would need to make sure is that you replace the addresses that I've used with mainet addresses if you want to deploy in mainet. Let me know your thoughts, comments, questions and happy to answer them. Happy to also do any other types of videos that you would like to see. So let me know what you like.
