Today I'm I'm Yaro uh the founder of Molecular and while we are at the future of the money event I want to talk about the broken today and of course um the way we could fix it. We all like native to DeFi. We're DeFi professionals or enthusiasts whatsoever. And for us, we already living in uh in the middle of this financial revolution like the new world finances. Uh regulations coming, stable coins printed like crazy.
The amount of chain transactions is already exaggerating Visa, Mastercard uh transaction aggregated. Uh but the thing is that it's uh the reality only for us and for uh many people and for many assets. uh the future is not still there. And uh that brings us to the question um what do we do? How do we fix it?
How do we make them work? And I'm not talking some small number. Um it's over 200 billion dollars in stable coin and ETH only. We're not talking about anything else. So only this.
So this money is already in crypto, but somehow it's not on DeFi. And we probably should ask ourself why. Um where do we come from? We come from Tread 5, traditional finance. It was built intentionally difficult, intentionally like a maze where you need a guide.
You need to pay that guide to actually understand what you're doing. They say, you know, man, the regulation, um the paperwork, um all those problems, pay me a management fee and I will show you the way. Uh otherwise, you get wrecked. And um that was actually that's actually still true. Um crypto was supposed to fix that.
It was supposed to bring simplicity, bring access to new finances for everyone, no matter where you live, who you are. You don't need a license to be a bank to be able to lend or borrow money and have access to other financial primitives. That's a great world we all envision. But are we there? No, we're not.
Because instead of that, what we created is we created another complexity. this time it's not intentional but somehow yeah it's it's it's still there. So we have the solutions that are built by smart people for other smart people and it just doesn't work for for normal people and the way is like it's even more a problem for a special category of users. We all know about them. Traditional finances love them.
And these are the high net worth individuals or we call them HNWI. And it's a huge opportunity for defy actually because um the stats is that only 20% of general population already hold crypto and compare it to 26% of AsianWIs having crypto and service showing that 50% of those plan to deploy some of their wealth to crypto within a few years and their wealth is huge. It's actually more than 86 trillion of assets. Well, of course, we are not getting access to all those 86 trillion anytime soon, but um at least those few hundred billion something we must look for. And the question we're asking like why those this money is slipping?
What makes them sleep? What why they don't move? And the reasons are bad u like we we we all should admit it. the UIX is is a disaster in D5. Second problem is that the communication is broken.
Even today during the panel we talked about that and and again you can open nine out of 10 D5 website protocols and ask your normal friend to actually explain what they see there. They will be very confused. Uh the ecosystem itself is still complex. Yeah, we are streamlining the liquidity from the fragmentation of liquidity from different protocols, different layers, but it's still like you users still are required to switch network on their MetaMask, do the bridge, do the swap in order to get access to pretty simple defy operations. And last but not least is that you have no one to call.
Like if something goes south, you have an option of uh you know going to Discord, opening a ticket. Like half of those people don't even know what Discord is yet. This is the only option for them. And so what do they see when they are offered to compare Treadfi to DeFi? So the traditional finance offers them the uh the level of service they got used to.
Everything is super simple. They they they understand they can talk to a live person and DeFi offers them very poor very poor UX very poor communication but giving promises about yeah this is non-custodial. So if they do make a choice to kind of go the crypto side, they end up with the let's say false economy, the false choice, the choice uh between the custodial path we we all know like um FTX or uh three arrow Capital or Celsius they say yeah give us your money we're going to manage it we're going to put it on DeFi do yield there and you don't need to you know go deeper and stuff but we all know where to end it and the custodial risk there is is it's the main One on the other side they have the DeFi path where you get back the sovereignty that you lose on the custodial path. But the problem is that currently DeFi wants you to give up the peace of mind and comfort and easiness of making yield on your money. So that's a bad choice essentially.
I know that from my own experience because that's actually how molecular was born. Um because it it happened the way that uh in in in my network I was like the smartest one in terms of crypto defy like uh okay I'm there for like eight years everyone knows that I I'm native so whenever they hear about any defy yield um what's Athena I heard people make nice money there help me and I help them okay help them deposit help them understand how it works and stuff and it's all fine I mean like I'm u I love helping my friends and family the problem is that it I suddenly became like a 24/7 uh support desk for Athena for Fracks uh for other protocols because when when these guys try to do something and they could not connect or you know the transaction goes somewhere they call me and yeah um it was fine until it wasn't and they asked me questions like why do I need to approve things before I do so what what exactly I approve because we all know that sometimes the thing that you are signing in your MetaMask looks like pretty scary if you're not familiar with hex codes or something. And this is something everyone uh experienced in their life, you know. Uh it's it's fine when it's uh I don't know uh a game or something, but it's not fine when you've just uh sent 500k from your crypto wallet and it hasn't arrived because the the interface shows you this error and you just don't know what the other scan is and how you go and see what's happening with the transaction. Yeah, that's the the moment when they called me all the time.
Uh so and that brings us to the understanding that the tech is we often think it's not a problem. the tech is actually pretty cool and it uh I' I've witnessed it becoming cooler and cooler better and better and right now we can we have so many solutions about like bridging liquidity fragmentation that we haven't had like 5 years ago three years ago uh but the problem the main problem why this money doesn't come to crypto is still not on that layer it's on the layer of communication and customer interaction the real revolution of this is the way we interact with people through better interf interfaces and through like responding to their intent. Sometimes people don't know their intent, but that's another layer of problem. But it should be easy. The main thing that it should be easy.
And there is a hype right now on the market saying, "Okay, AI agents, they're super cool. They're going to fix the things." Yes. But again try talking to anyone from your network who has made some money who is investing and ask them a simple question if they are ready to trust an AI agent to manage their funds. Um I can guarantee like nine out of 10 answers will be hell no.
maybe in the future, but I see it more as a layer again as a backend layer for us as protocols to optimize the operations to solve the problem of liquidity management. That's clear. Um, capital is energy and that's fuel for DeFi. Any kind of friction is the waste of energy. Any extra button, anything they don't understand, it kills that energy.
So, our task is to make the energy flow freely towards yield. So how do we get it? We introduce the clear path and that's what we build. We build molecular. What we do is like the idea is that DeFi is something that could really revolutionize how the world of finance looks like.
And we need better UX, not the complex one. So we don't agree that decentralized should mean bad UX should mean neglected customer service. That's a wrong. That's a false choice we've been given. And we don't send people to Discord.
Instead, we give them live support within 5 minutes. We give dedicated managers to those who deposit million, few millions, wherever. And of course, we talk to them. So, we do what the private asset managers do. We explain how it works, where the yield comes from, and how their money makes more money.
Um our strategy GDM strategy is built on progressive layers. First one is super simple. It's like you deposit your USD or ETH is being deployed to the most uh like the blue chips of DI and that's it. If you want to explore more then you are able to deposit these assets to more yield generating uh strategies as you get more familiar and you understand that you've been a DJ all your life um but you haven't realized it there where you go to the advanced layer with all uh the looping morphing and stuff we we all love as uh D5 natives u our first product uh the yield bearing stable coin MUSD was launched back in May five weeks ago uh it automates and uh it deposits and rebalances assets among the best protocols u the most like say bluechip protocols in D5 and um it gives liquidity it's it's instant liquid instantly liquid uh it gives industry average API and it's super transparent it's audited it's onchain it's permissionless so the thing we love in D5 and yep we've uh just surpassed the 5 million uh TVL milestone so that's a great achievement Some applause for us. Thank you.
Uh 1 million per week. Um going to be doubling that I hope. So a unique thing we're doing is that we're going to unlock 60 billion USD and we're going to give them the opportunity to make money, make yield on Ethereum DeFi. I won't go into many technical details. I can give you the details if you want.
The thing is like we do it onchain. This is a true DeFi solution and we will be the first to actually implement that on Tron and get access to that juicy 50 billion reserve in USD. So why are we going to win? Because we think about users. We give them seamless experience.
No switching networks, no bridging, no swaps. Everything is within the one single interface with one wallet. We give excellence approach. So we support people who provide liquidity. If they give liquidity they uh actually deserve uh having a customer service not a discord server.
Um everything is transparent. We are audited. We have formal verification. Uh the most crucial things are governed by DAO essentially by the liquidity providers. Um we are chain agnostic.
So we will be adding new yield opportunities without requiring users to actually add those networks to their uh wallets whatsoever. And yeah, as I said, we do it like step by step. Um, I guess that's it. Oh, perfect timing. Good.
Um, thank you. Um, I I'll be happy to talk if you are liquidity providers, if you are building infrastructure, we are integrating both sides. So, yeah, thanks very much for coming and listening to me.
