The Base App team met in NYC with one goal: lock in and build together for five days to ship the app.

The team's staying hydrated. The morale is high. We've got a good playlist going at all times.
We're ready to go. We're dialed in. We're going to ship it for sure. We're shipping this thing. We've got tons of Red Bull.
We've got tons of coffee. And we're just straight ripping right now, boys.
We're ready. Just press the button. It's It's going out. Okay, you know, I was cocky yesterday. I was like, ah, I'm feeling now it's starting it's starting to get me.
It's going to be pretty tight this week, but everybody is working really hard. The product just has to work really well for everybody. So, I'd say three like core things. Uh, onboarding has to be extremely seamless, so anybody can just get into the app very quickly. Uh, and then we need to have like the best social feed where you can discover assets that you want to trade.
And then, uh, third, you want to be able to earn for anything that you create. If we can deliver on those three things by the end of this week, we're going to be in good shape.
Would you be surprised to hear that basically everyone we've talked to has been like extremely optimistic that everything's going to be totally done by Friday.
That means I'm not scaring them enough and I need to go find them all and scare them more. But I do actually feel pretty good about it. We planned pretty hard to get to this point. So, uh I I think we are in range.
I don't know what days are anymore. We have a big set of things to do by Friday. Make it work. Make it fast. Make it delightful.
We're doing a lot of d-risking. So, really figuring out the core experience for our users right now. If
we had to submit the app right now, we would be ready to go.
No. [laughter]
What was the question?
Why are you in the dark?
I wanted to be in the light, but apparently everyone prefers the dark. So, whatever is more productive. I've
been pretty productive the past two days. Lots of PRs. AI is helping us a lot. We're at like a few PRs per person per day. It's down to the wire, but the team's working really, really hard, and every time we refresh the app, it's better and better.
I think we're probably like aligned on our confidence.
I'm only confident because he seems so confident.
Great. And, you know, so if he didn't seem so confident, I would be freaking out right now. [music]
We we moved the freeze, right? So yeah, about what happened
and we just moved it by like 24 hours to give us a bit more time to make sure that it's polished enough
and all of that.
It's more freeing. Gives us more time. Gives us more time to cook. Give us more time to polish, lock stuff down.
We're doing the best that we can to make this the best app ever and to really polish it up and get it to the quality standards that we want. The main goal is to launch the app, to get it into people's hands, and to see from their perspective like how it looks, how it feels, how they want to use it.
We did it. My god, it's over.
What a week.
What a week. Goodbye, New York Storage Office. It's been
done. It's been done.
