Earlier this year, I had a conversation with James Wyn. Now, some of you may know him. He became famous after he turned 3 million into $90 million trading pers on Hyperliquid. He then lost it all. Coordinated groups saw his positions and then decided to hunt his liquidations.
Now, that conversation really stuck with me. It's when I realized that transparency without privacy isn't fairness. It's a trap. And so I had a conversation with my long-term friend and now co-founder Kenzen and we decided to do something about it.
Thank you, Clemens. So I've spent years at Coinbase building and scaling the systems behind Coinbase Wallet. Specifically, I worked on the DeFi trading team within Wallet. Now we're taking that experience and building Opel, a truly houseblind privacy first uh perpetual trading deck built on base. House blind means that no one can spy on your orders.
Not the public, not the insiders, and not even our own team. At the same time, settlement happens onchain. So everything is transparent and verifiable through our smart contract. Now, Opel is already a very profitable business. In our first six weeks, we've done over $1.
2 million in net profit through a simple sustainable volume tax model. I like to use the analogy that Dexus are like dating apps. They only work if a lot of people use them. I mean, would you want to be on a dating app with only three other dudes on it that look like Kenzen?
Hey, rude.
I'm joking, of course. But my point here is that we don't just focus on the tech. And so, over the last few weeks, we've built a strong community of thousands of holders, followers, and traders who love our mission and who support what we're building. And most of all, we're excited to be building on base and build and bring massive trading volume uh to the base ecosystem. If you're passionate about privacy, we would love for you to join the team either as a builder or an investor.
Come talk to us. Thank you guys.
