so um now we have a very i think i would call this a reality check so we're going to church and chart is going to take us through um you know telling the story of our ecosystem because you know we have a brilliant ecosystem church is basically can i say leading this effort uh church yes i'm trying to uh to make this thing uh happen uh so coordinating stuff and so on and you're doing an amazing job so i'll just you know hand it over to you you have like a big segment in the program so just go ahead and kick it off thanks thank you michelle thank you michele so hello my name is shirt i will now talk a bit about the ecosystem so we know that swarm does not exist by itself but it needs to fulfill the needs of the users and the ecosystem of apps using it therefore initiatives are in motion to help the ecosystem adopt swarm as easily as possible and to bootstrap a paradigm ship shifting how to handle data to society principles play a central role in these efforts as ethical guidelines are necessary to adopt from the very start we believe data of different kinds data is of different kinds and can be very sensitive in nature especially when talking about personal data however the siloing of data must stop personal data should be under the control of individuals and we believe that data sovereignty is one of the key features that following the principles should enable the other important aspect is interoperability to make silos is obsolete data must be able to flow between apps making switching apps seamless for the user this is made easier with decentralized storage although it is just the first of many steps on the long road the ecosystem part will try to demonstrate efforts done in regard to data sovereignty and interoperability and a lot of efforts undone under the umbrella of the fair data society using its developed tool set the focus of current efforts is on providing public data sets of interest until the tools we use have proven hardened enough to use a more sensitive data we'll also highlight a couple of projects using swarm for storage and we aim to motivate further ideas for development of the ecosystem in the community
