Regulation is key for the market development – Dr. Esther Teuber

my name is Esther toiber I'm a lawyer part of the German legal team of avian Andrew Bengali which is a Dutch bank so every night was located in the Netherlands but I'm currently mainly working for the Department strategy and Innovation which is the innovation of the bank and I'm part of the digital assets team of strategy and Innovation and what we currently do is mainly working on Innovative digital Financial products for our clients [Music] well that's that's definitely a great opportunity to meet to actually meet in real life with people from all over the world and to align on on topics related to DLT and for me as a lawyer of course it's it's also mainly on on legal aspects and what I learned from from all the sessions today and from all the meetings panel discussion that people really have the same topics that they are discussing they're the same issues especially with regard to fragmented regulatory system within the European Union and that's really interesting and it it's actually a great opportunity to to meet people in real life to discuss topics that are relevant for all of us and definitely relevant for the blockchain system in general I think this is really a great opportunity for Market developments and especially especially if you if you look for my banking Point of View or financial point of view I think this will definitely this would definitely be a big opportunity for a funny business models um and I think the market will grow within the next couple of years and that's that's so I think it's it's a great opportunity um for for the financial industry [Music] well actually I think a robust regulatory framework is actually for for the market development in general and and what I see is well it has also been realized by the European Union and that's why the European Union came up with two in your regulation recently so one is the market in crypto asset Recreation the Mika regulation which will apply as of 2024 and on the other hand we have the deity pilot regime which will already apply as of March this year and I'm pretty sure that this will definitely pave the way for New Market infrastructure and funny but business models with regard to DLT yeah as I just said I'm part of the digital assets team of strategy and Innovation which is the Innovation Hub of the band and um we are quite proud that we currently recently announced that newly issued a tokenized bond on a public blockchain so it was on the Stellar protocol I'm a formid call and that was actually the first a tokenized bond in the Netherlands on a public blockchain so we are quite proud that we were able to to come up with this almond fully digital tokenized fund so um the whole value the whole setup of this tokenized Bond was on chain so it was a completely native digital Bond and we are really proud that we are one of the first in the Netherlands [Music] I guess so I guess so I guess that especially tokenizing Securities comes with significant cost Productions and I think the British liquidity to the market as well so yes I assume that that will be in enabler also for for a brighter variety of the society yeah [Music] thank you
