Build with Dynamic I Kim Luu, Eric Tesenair

ETHGlobalSun, Aug 9, 2026, 12:00 AM

In this workshop at ETHGlobal New York 2026, Kim Luu and Eric Tesenair from Dynamic set hackers up for the weekend, introducing the team, the product, the prize tracks, hacker resources, and a live demo of the newest product, Fireblocks Flow. Kim, who recently joined Dynamic and Fireblocks in developer relations, explains that Dynamic was acquired by Fireblocks last October, so building with Dynamic means building on infrastructure backed by Fireblocks, through which about 15% of all global crypto and stablecoin transactions are secured and moved, giving projects real security and trust from the start, with customers like Kraken and Flutterwave. At its core, Dynamic provides non-custodial wallet infrastructure that scales, handling login, wallets, signing, and on-chain UX so builders integrate once and go straight to building, covering over 100 chains and 800+ wallets across EVM and non-EVM chains like Solana, Bitcoin, Sui, and Flow. Kim points to dynamic.xyz/docs and a hacker cheat sheet as the home base, stressing the one-click MCP install that drops Dynamic's docs into AI assistants like Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex so they write accurate code. She walks through around $10,000 in prizes across five tracks: best use of Flow ($3,000), best agent build, best on-chain app, best wallet glow up (the continuity track), and a best private nano payments app built jointly with Unlink and Arc using Circle. Eric then demos Fireblocks Flow, whose pitch is accept any crypto, settle in any stablecoin, with one SDK, using DeFi protocols (via LiFi under the hood) rather than acting as liquidity provider. He walks through three nearly identical flows: a merchant checkout (buying a 10-cent backstage pass, paying in ETH on Base settling to USDC), a deposit flow for apps like prediction markets or games, and a more complex withdrawal flow using Dynamic's embedded wallet product, connecting external wallets and exchanges like Kraken via native wallet providers. He shows both the SDK and API integration paths (create checkout, add transaction and buyer source with watchlist checks, get a quote, sign and broadcast, await settlement via webhooks), notes Flow supports most EVM chains plus Solana, Tron, and Bitcoin, and closes with Q&A on testnet limitations and building stablecoin-backed cards with providers like Rain. 00:00 Introduction 00:11 Welcome to the Dynamic Workshop 00:39 The Plan for the Session 01:05 Meet the Dynamic Team 01:47 Acquired by Fireblocks 02:12 The Fintechs and Enterprises That Trust Dynamic 02:30 What Is Dynamic 02:42 Before and After Dynamic 03:07 Over 100 Chains and 800 Wallets 03:33 Your Home Base: The Docs and Cheat Sheet 03:54 Why to Install the MCP for Your Agent 04:22 The Prize Tracks and $10,000 in Prizes 04:47 Best Agent Build and On-Chain App 05:08 Best Wallet Glow Up and Nano Payments 05:38 What Fireblocks Flow Is 06:33 Handing Off to Eric for the Demo 06:40 Setting Up the Flow Demo 07:11 Why You Might Want to Use Your Meme Coins 07:33 The Three Flows Explained 08:49 The Checkout Flow 09:12 Connecting Wallets and Exchanges 10:04 How the Conversion Works Under the Hood 10:43 Integrating With the SDK 12:09 Integrating With the API 12:29 Webhooks and Out-of-the-Box Wallet Lists 12:48 The Deposit Flow 14:06 The Withdrawal Flow With Embedded Wallets 14:55 Why You Need an Embedded Wallet 15:35 Q&A: Which Chains Flow Supports 16:10 Q&A: Testing on Testnets 16:38 Q&A: Building Stablecoin-Backed Cards 18:44 Closing _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ *ETHGlobal New York 2026* This workshop is specifically for ETHGlobal New York 2026, a 3-day hackathon held June 12-14 at the Metropolitan Pavilion, bringing together the most skilled web3 developers, designers and product builders from all around the globe for a weekend-long adventure to advance the Ethereum ecosystem! Hello everyone. Welcome and thank you very much for coming to our dynamics seminar. So, raise your hands quickly. Who has heard of dynamic? Okay, that's a pretty good turnout.

Keep your hands up if you've used dynamic before. Okay, here are the real MVPs . So, I'm Kim, and I recently joined Dynamic and Fireblocks as a Developer Relations Officer. We have about 20 minutes to get you ready for the weekend, friends. So let's get down to business quickly.

Uh, I'm going to introduce our team, that is, give you a download of what Dynamic is. Then, the two most important things you're probably looking for are prize tracks and your hacking resources. And finally, we have a very exciting live demo with Eric of our newest product called Fireblocks Flow. So, first off, this is our very talented team on the ground this weekend. We are here to support you, talk to you, test ideas you, test ideas .

You can yell at us if our dogs aren't doing very well . Um, we have Eric Tessanaire, our solutions architect, and he's going to walk us through a live demo after my part. We have Joanne here, our marketing star. She is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. So please say hello.

We also have Zanne talking about engineering. He is our artificial intelligence specialist. So, if you want to talk about artificial intelligence, this is your specialist. And of course, I added our Twitter. So please subscribe to us to stay up to date with the latest news.

So, a short but interesting note before we continue. Dynamics was acquired by Fireblocks last year in October. So when you build with Dynamic on the weekend, you build on an infrastructure supported by Fireblocks, and fun fact: 15% of all global cryptocurrency and stablecoin stablecoin transactions are secured and pass through the Fireblocks infrastructure Fireblocks infrastructure . Essentially, this means that your project inherits true security and trust from the start. And if you don't believe me, don't worry believe me, don't worry .

I brought the receipts. Here are all the fintech Here are all the fintech companies and businesses that trust us and rely on us. Some notable mentions of Kraken and Flutterwave. What is Dynamic? Essentially, we provide scalable wallet infrastructure without the liability.

This means we handle login, wallets, signature, and UX on the blockchain. So you can skip the boring but important stuff and spend your weekend creating what weekend creating what really matters. Here's a before and after scenario so you really understand. So, before Dynamic, you had to deal with managing your wallet connector keys and everything else before you even started your project. But with your good friend Dynamic, you integrate once and can get right to creating.

And, as you can see, we work pretty hard work pretty hard . We cover over 100 blockchains, over 800 wallets, EVM and non-EVM 800 wallets, EVM and non-EVM , such as Salana, Bitcoin, Sweet, Flow and others. So whatever you're hacking this weekend, we've got you covered. So, your most useful link this weekend is dynamic.xyz/doccks.

When you go there, you'll find our hacker cheat sheet in the sidebar . I made this personally for you guys, so please review or you'll hurt my feelings. Just kidding. Um, this is your home base, so your prize tracks are for a quick start. We have open source resources for you, so you don't have to start from scratch.

Everything in one place. And while you're there, it's crucial that you download the MCP for your agent. As you probably know, I can't emphasize this enough. So whether you use Cursor, Cloud Code, or CodeEx, it dumps our dynamic documents right into your AI assistant . So he writes, acts, to write accurately, not just guess.

It's just one click away. Just do it. Good. So now the important part, namely cash, dollar bills. We have about $10,000 in prizes and five exciting tracks.

Our grand prize of $3,000 is our best use of the stream. So please pay attention to the demonstration that Eric is going to give. I'll talk about this briefly in the next few slides. Next, we have the best agent build. So, in the field of artificial intelligence, you can give your AI agent a wallet or delegated access and let it operate freely.

We have the best overall or best onchain app. This application is open. So just create something great. I know we are all creative geniuses here. So I'm really excited to see what we can create.

Uh, the best wallet app. So, this is our continuity path where you can migrate your existing app and update the wallet and UI. And finally, we have our ultimate private nanopayments app, which is super cool. We are joining forces with unlink and arc. So you can use dynamic for our built-in or server-side wallets.

You can use unlink for this private transaction layer, er, nanopayments with circle and deploy it on the arc testnet. So you can find full details and requirements on our prizes page or on the global ETH prizes page. Okay, so one last thing before I pass on some quick notes. Although the name suggests the official Fireblocks stream, I am proud to say that the stream is a product created and delivered by the dynamic team. So let me break it down into three simple steps.

simple steps. First, you need to connect a wallet or exchange account. Step two: You can pay, deposit, and withdraw funds using any asset. Third, the asset is settled in a customized stablecoin. An example of this would be that a user can pay in Salana and the settlement will be made in USDC on the base.

So you can think about trade settlements, fintech, etc. TLDDR accepts etc. TLDDR accepts any cryptocurrency in any stablecoin with a single SDK. But less talk, more showing. Eric more showing.

Eric , let me show you a really cool checkout demo. Good luck. Perfectly. Okay, I'll try to make using Flow very easy for everyone here. If I can figure out how to change the screen myself...

Okay, that didn't work. Let's go. I figured it out. Zoom in. Good.

So, we all probably have some cryptocurrency, probably some leftover meme some leftover meme coins from 2023, 2024, and like me, they're probably just sitting in your wallet, and you might want to find a way to use them. So, what if your favorite merchant could accept memecoins, but didn't accept memecoins. They accepted USDC. So, most of us probably have some USDC, but most of my cryptocurrency my cryptocurrency is just ETH, Bitcoin, Salana. So, I'm going to talk about three different processes, pun intended, because it really does look like the flow of how you move cryptocurrency from point A to point B.

I'll be blunt. They are all three very similar. So when you actually get to the implementation, the difference in the code is very, very minimal. So you can choose one and it will work the same. So we'll talk about how to place an order.

Think of it as a merchant settlement check. There is a fixed settlement address, and they probably want to accept USDC on a base, perhaps on the ETH mainnet perhaps on the ETH mainnet . Who knows? Uh, maybe you also, uh, want to deposit funds into your app funds into your app . Think of it as, uh, prediction markets.

You have, uh, sports bookies, bookies, something like that, or even a game. I think we talked to someone before who was building a network through Game on Chain. That would be pretty cool. Well, and then another option: once users deposit funds, if you're not like funds, if you're not like me, and you actually make the correct predictions, and that the Knicks will win, then you may be able to withdraw the winnings. So we do all three processes, and I'll show you all of them.

The last one is a little more complicated. It uses our built-in built-in wallet product. So we'll just start by placing an order. So, I'm going to buy this amazing backstage pass. It's definitely not for Taylor Swift because it's only worth 10 cents.

Uh, let me open the Firefox Metam Mask on the right. Not to be confused with Firefox. I'm going to choose something like a wallet. So, we offer native wallet providers. So we're thinking about Wallet Connect, but on steroids.

So it doesn't just support EVM and SVM. It supports Bitcoin. It supports Flow Bitcoin. It supports Flow . It supports, uh, even Kraken, Coinbase, Checkout.

com. So you can connect exchanges, but you can also connect almost any external wallet. There are over 600 of them. So I'll connect MetaMask. Uh So I'll connect MetaMask.

Uh , since MetaMask now supports Salana, I'll still choose EVM. So I'll join in. Good. I only have two tokens that I can use. But we will make this calculation element larger in the example .

This is better. OK. So This is better. OK. So , we will choose ether based on .

So we will choose him. This will be too big. So, under the hood, you're probably wondering, what are we actually doing? We use D5 protocols, right? For example, we are not a liquidity provider.

Fireblocks is not a liquidity provider. Dynamic is not a liquidity provider. Think of us as infrastructure. So we help you get from point A to point B and deal with all the things in between. So all I have to do is click "confirm payment".

And if I hadn't waited too long for the quote to expire, which I did n't. Okay, it's converting. Done. So, now I have completed the order. I bought my backstage pass from some random artist for 10 cents.

I hope they are good. And you're probably wondering how to actually integrate this. There are two ways. I'll do this once because it's the same for all three threads. You have an SDK or API and I'll make it a little bigger on the right.

This is a thread, for each of them you can literally copy and paste this code. Well, what it doesn't provide is a user interface. So you can create your own user interface but embed it into your application. So if you want to use the SDK, you can use the SDK. You start by creating an order form.

This is, uh, a secure endpoint that you will call from your server. Then you move on to the frontend, right? You will receive, uh, a bearer token that you can use to navigate the stream. You are about to create a stream transaction. You are going to add a buyer source.

And what happens when you add a buyer source? You can't trust this wallet that it's not on a terrorist watch list. So we do the checks for you, right? Make sure you are not interacting with a bad wallet. Uh, then we'll get a quote, and that's again , D5 protocols.

We return it to you and then, where the miracle happens, we sign and broadcast it, and then you wait for the calculations. So just pull out the endpoint. It's that simple. It's five or six steps, actually five. So you can, you can actually reuse this thread, uh, multiple times.

If you don't want to use the SDK, don't blame me if you don't use the API, okay? The same flow. You create an order fulfillment or flow, you add a transaction, you add a source, you get a quote, you can broadcast and sign the transaction or sign the broadcast. That's all. Uh, so we have this resource.

This is flow.dynamic.dev. So be sure to check, check. We have webhooks because you can know when your application, when the payment is calculated, will receive the webhook.

There are several different events. I'm not going to consider them. Check the documentation. Quite simple. And because we are dynamic, we are a built-in wallet provider.

We provide you with many ready-made functions that you can use if you use the SDK. You don't need to rely on a third party to get a list of your wallets. We provide it for you. You don't need to rely on a third party to get a list of your tokens. We provide it for you.

So it's not just a product of the flow. We provide all of this for you. Good. So let's move on to the next one. We will make a deposit.

The only difference is that you actually receive a request, and you enter the amount. I'm still going to make 10 cents. Uh, we'll choose MetaMask again. This time we will make Salana. Be a little crazy.

We'll choose Salana and...Oh, we'll retreat. That's why I don't want to use Salana. We will make EVM and we need to connect. We will make Ether again.

Confirm the deposit. You wonder what the hell has changed. Absolutely nothing. So Absolutely nothing. So when you try it when you try it , if you want to try it on the try it on the website, deposits, checkout, funds are returned to your wallet that you use.

So we're not trying to take your funds, right? So the 10 cents you use, don't worry about it, it goes right back into your wallet. So I'm not going to explain how to set it up again, but now we'll move on to the more complicated part, namely withdrawing funds. So, the built-in wallet product will be used here. Imagine you have a platform, you want to allow deposits, and you also want to have a wallet for them on your platform.

So, I've already done that, so there's no need to create a new one. I must have some money. Oh, maybe I broke it right before I registered. No before I registered. No , I broke it right before I earned the coins.

Okay, so I'll tell you about it instead of showing you. Um, so basically what the checkout or withdrawal process does is the same as the others, but what I did, and I'm going to go back and fix this, is when you actually create and connect MetaMask, it creates a built-in wallet for you. And you may ask, why do you need a built-in wallet if you have an external wallet? So you don't have to click on that annoying little box every time, right? So, you can deposit if you want to accept only USDC in your application.

That's very simplistic, isn't it? Choose a settlement token as USDC on any network you want, currently mostly EVM and Slan. Um, then it deposits the funds to the address that was created for the user using the dynamic SDK. And then when you want to withdraw funds, it's the same thing . You, but you will offer them to choose which network they want to withdraw funds to.

So they can choose the network and even choose the settlement token. So if you want to offer a wide range of tokens, you can offer a wide range. If you want to offer one and allow them to only withdraw USDC, you can offer that too. So I'll stop there. We have about five minutes, I think, for some questions.

Don't be afraid to ask for everything you have. What are you supporting now? So, for the flow product, we support almost all EVM chains, all major and some minor ones. Uh, Salana, and we just added support for Tron, I think, and Bitcoin. It's just not in my demo.

Yes, go ahead. Ah, that's a really good question. The only problem with using D5 protocols is that they don't work on test networks. So, we're working with LiFi "under the hood", right? We're not going to make this, uh, black box, are we?

It uses LiFi. So we're working with them to try to open up some test network availability and we'll try to add some liquidity, but the feedback that they're giving us, the feedback that we're going to pass on to you, is using a very small amount on L2 for testing. Will this work? Yes. Yes.

Absolutely. Still have questions? Take it. Ah, yes. So, stable retention cards are very interesting.

There are several providers. The one I'm most familiar with is RAIN. And there are two different ways to make calculations. You have a RAIN-driven settlement where you create a smart create a smart contract, a contract, a 4337 smart contract with a bunch of constraints, where the user deposits funds from EOA or an embedded wallet, and then this stablecoin card swipes and withdraws funds from the withdraws funds from the contract's smart wallet. Another option is if you want to self- manage, where you kind of manage the contract or rather the program, and you can leave it as a built-in wallet and let them deposit funds through a USDC stream.

And then when they make the payment, it takes you about 300 milliseconds to confirm by swiping your card whether the transaction was successful. So your server responded [], so you can't actually check the chain, but you will respond and then do a deferred calculation. So, if you have any questions about how to do this, I'd be happy to talk to you. I have several schemes for how to do this. Still have questions?

I was hoping questions? I was hoping this would work, but, uh, I'm getting off topic. Good. No. Good.

Perfectly. Thanks, guys.
