[Music] monad includes a number of different improvements one that I'd really like to highlight is monad DB uh which is a data base built completely from scratch because the single biggest bottleneck for execution is actually State access and in order to speed up State access and parallelize state access we need a performant custom database for ethereum Merkel tree [Music] data I like to play with my dog anago um she's really helped keep me sane over the years and um she's just very loyal and very very [Music] fun I don't know I I think I'm uh I come off as a pretty serious maybe like um um very serious personality so people are surprised when um they just hang out with me in person and find out that I have a humorous [Music] side I think a broader thing is just realizing the incredible power of community and the fact that it's good to let the Community Drive the um just the the brand and the perception of monad we have incredible artists we have incredible memes we just have a lot of fun on um every day in the monad community and so I thought when we first started monad that it would be all about technology and I thought that the memes and the mascot would have to directly reflect performance so realizing that it's just whatever the community wants and whatever sticks that's probably been the most surprising no no not really I mean I I'm pretty pretty basic iPhone MacBook [Music] Pro I would like to meet uh Leonard Oiler uh the great mathematician and just try to learn how his brain works
