ETHDenver Interviews: Polkadot and Moonbeam

[Music] we're live at east denver in the shill zone uh with phil from polkadot who's based in berlin and he's just going to tell us a little bit about what polkadot's up to and what they're excited about polka dot for those who don't know is a sharded blockchain with heterogeneous shards with different para chains we call them that connect to polka dot to help solve this scaling problem and uh we've been developing so much what i'm very excited to see uh is the what's happening with these crowd loan auctions so para chains getting onboarded to polka dot and growing the ecosystem so right over here is one of the para chains called moonbeam and uh yeah maybe you talk to them later uh it's a uh really good projects and i'm really most excited to see the ecosystem grow so much awesome and and specifically at east denver what's polka dot uh hoping to kind of get out of the event or like are you guys dropping anything is there any alpha leaks you can kind of tease out this will be up like maybe tonight well since we're we have a transparent on-chain governance there's nothing to leak really right now everything's transparent on chain but um i mean what what we're we're excited to see at east denver i'm excited to learn from everyone i always meet here so we're we're definitely excited about that to see how much the the community has grown has been it's been really really good to see so it's been an explosion i've been at east denver for it's my third time so uh to see the polka dot community specifically just explode and grow and see the rate of change that's happening it's really exciting that's awesome eric thanks so much for your time yeah thank you hey everybody we're here in the shill zone with kathy and steven from moonbeam they're going to tell us a little bit about their first is it your first denver experience both of you amazing 2019. okay so they're going to tell us a little bit about their experience a little bit about where they're from in moonbeam so uh guys take it away yeah so hi i'm kathy i'm from mumbine we are based in boston but we have actually a team all around the world um and we are this our first september we're like very excited to be here and connect with amazing community so if you are around and you want to learn more about like what is moving we are an ethereum compatible smart counter platform in polkadot so like if you have a project that is based on ethereum and one expands expanded to polka dot you can do it with moving with like minimal changes using same integrations using same even like language and also like the unification of accounts so you can use even like ethereum style accounts so like if you want to learn more about us you are welcome to come we have like fan speakers and our team is also going to be around to like answer any questions that you have well and i'm stephen i'm a developer on the moonbeam team um i was out here in 2019 as a hacker but it's cool to be here representing the moonbeam team now so very excited to be here
