Introducing Kroma: Road to EVM-Equivalent ZK Rollup | KBW

[Music] uh hello everyone uh it's really good to have here in the KBW 2023 thanks for having me here and I'd like to introduce our new layer 2 solution choma which is to aiming the evm KY kups before started the you know introduction the our Layer Two I'd like to introduce our team the life scale the life scale founded in 2022 and we are strong 40s and then most of the uh team is developer so I'd like to say we are Builders who are bu bullish on ethereum and the game for the mass adoption and especially we are targeting the Asia Market which is most prominent and the the most having the potential in the adopting crypto and web3 games so all those that is the reason why we decided to make our own e layer to the chroma then what is chroma and what makes chroma so special uh we didn't want to invent the will again so we trying to build something good to make a better thing so we are combining the optimistic Ro up and ZK world to make a chroma so in first phase is most likely the optimistic Ro in the market so we are starting the opice deck and adding our own challenges system which is utilizing GK evm so in phase one will be pretty like uh optimistic War up and in phase two it's going to be the ultimate version of the GK War up will provide evm equivalency and the fast finality at the same time so in summary the chroma is aiming to have uh evm equivalent ZK world in the future and now we are at the layer two and Laurel which is the first stage two Universal Laurel and introducing the chroma main net we just launched the main net yesterday and I really thrilled to announce our main net here in KBW 2023 so uh we launched our uh Genesis NF as well and then I'd like to have some quick demo about how it works and and how it looks like so our CTO DJ is the uh the uh the our official wallet and we are going to provide more wallets for more convenient use of our main net and when you actually uh the connect wallet and then you can see the asset from the layer one very seamlessly and then you can actually briding those assets to this chroma without any kind of back and force between bridy and this nftd site but uh for the you know simless demo experience we already breached our asset to the chroma the metam mask and when you mint it just can you uh click uh yeah you can mint it then the yeah metamask confirmation and it block time is 2 seconds so it's going to be really quick and easy and the uh average the gas fee is about .03 so it's going to be okay right so it is always happening this kind of thing yeah it's completely so you quickly go through our technology as I mentioned uh the chroma is based on the op deack and adding our own GK based challenge system so we can have the low fee High throughput Fast Response High compatibility fast finality and decentralized operators and for the uh fully gkp Ready Main net we uh adopt the scalable and flexible modulars on top of the opice stack so uh the boxes on the you know this architecture we already Implement some of the G gkp ready uh component on top of the opice deck but unfortunately at the moment the gkp proving time and generation cost is really high and slow so we'd like to do some parallel research and development for optimizing those gkp and in near future when it's ready then we can enable those gkp to migrate into the fully functional ZK rups in near future maybe next year and the as I mentioned the chroma is the first stage to Universal LA and some of you have some you know idea what the stage two is and some of not so I'd like to briefly introduce what the stage two is and then stage two in one sentence is all about the decentralization of the lural so it requires the permission list the validator or Pro fult proof system and users can accit at least 30 days when they have some un unwanted the update or upgrade and then the security console should be fully functional and yeah chroma is fully decentralized and then you can see here that we we can uh we are providing the permission list validated system so anyone who wants to Opera in a node then just join a validator contribute and get rewards so you can see the old Tech preparing our sub project takon to make a g gkp even faster so takon is aiming for 100 times faster gkp through the GPU acceleration and the mission is to actually leveraging G GPU acceleration to enhance the average performance of GK operations as I say uh the at the moment gkp is really expensive and slow so when it comes to the this kind of GPU acceleration it's going to be really you know awesome and we want to contribute the world of the gkp the research and product and Industry so we're going to open up the code so anyone can see and contribute to code as well and uh with this kind of research we need some experts to contribute and research together so we are about to establish the gkp research centers with the professors in Korea so we are doing some Co research together with those experts and I want to also cover the ecosystem and goto market so I want to say we are started with the games then why games because the gaming industry and web 3 game is the most rapidly growing sector in across the all different web 3 kind of category and also the gamers are really familiar with the virtual assets and then they are always seeking the more ownership and participant and rnrs in the that kind of you know the universe it means that they're really come to this web three scheme really and then the web three and gaming combination is is really perfect fit so it's going to be have the mass adoption of blockchain for sure so uh some of you may have some questions that okay game can be something big but and it's going to be like a mass adoption of the blockchain in near future but chroma can acquire games because there are so many layer TOs and then so much kind of competitions ongoing and my answer is yes CU we are fully backed by remade and remix and who already have a planning enough the game portfolio and also uh they announced uh the new triaa MMO the nro will be ready uh it's web three version and Global version in coming December and they're going to support chroma as a etherum layer too and not only the games but also our ecosystem is ready so uh I I want to leverage those Gamers coming into the chroma and they want more contents and more services to play around with so we are preparing not only games but also the nfts Defi and all the other infrastructures for them to actually enjoying the whole simless and end to end user experience through the Cora ecosystem and the uh uh last but not least uh the talk economy is also really important and the our key principle is zero start uh it means that our token will start from zero and the uh it will not have any kind of preing or minting so chroma token is total Supply will be 15 million but it has a dynamic minting algorithm so it's it has some of changes like uh like 47 million between 47 million to 52 million or something like that depending on network fees and block uh busy uh something like that and also the as I mentioned from starting zero means that uh the crow token will be generated by blocks and Zer ST means no preining so everyone will be on same start Point uh and we have some you know the specific allocation but they all going to get a token through the generation of C token and we also have a sliding model so it's going to have a scarcity of all the uh tokens and we car those four big participant in the ecosystem and we're going to allocate them to uh incentivize for their contribution so the first big pillar is for validators and network Guardians and the second one is the ecological transaction generators which means the builders and users and community and the other one is strategic in investors who are believing and supporting us and the last one is core contributors and Community uh this core contributor means like a we made who are contributing for us to having uh quality games and their game pipeline all together with us and then we are also trying to head start with the weix communities we allocate some certain amount of our
