all right seats please if you're still chatting uh please leave thank you of course all right everybody my name is roman i'm a part of a product team at unstoppable domains um just please raise your hand do you know what nft domain is all right awesome we got a bunch of hands and uh do you own an nft domain by any chance yeah i've got a few uh as well great so we have a good setup today i wanted to share something really exciting with you that we've been working on but first to set the stage i want to point to an elephant in the room and said the trend that we've seen in the last couple of years is that self-serving identity is inevitable what that means imagine how much time online do we spend nowadays on average global report shows seven hours for me personally about 10 14 i guess our average in this room is probably higher than seven so it's worth admitting that and uh there's no way around it and we've noticed that online we need digital money we need digital assets nft avatars some people are flexing their board apes and this is becoming our new reality let's look back a little bit and here we see that in the last 20 or 30 years we've never owned our data as users it started off more centralized so different applications would store your personal data you have your credentials for each application and then all of a sudden now we have 100 applications we interact with and then you have to fill out everything like all of you were right there outside of the building in line feeling things out i think it it took me three forms to fill out to get here so that was pretty interesting experience so the portability in this world is not there and then there was an attempt by a handful of big corporations to create a federated digital identity and that's that's what we call it so we have sso and web 2.0 right but there's a bunch of problems with that that we've seen recently and one of them is surveillance capitalism we've seen that many companies nowadays on the market they they've been trying to disrupt and uh solve those those problems and we're really excited to see the movement and we want to double down on that and this is how we get to self-sovereign identity where finally we get to on some of our data and have it portable i just want to double down and see there are some problems that we've seen with companies that became so-called identity providers that trying to provide us a new identity online and as you can see you give them the data they package it up give it to business and then business gives them the money we get a little bit better user experience and slightly portable which is good but currently we're seeing those companies struggle and those companies they pivot hard to make things happen and if they don't they would continue struggling and this is the view where we're trying to get to collectively with multiple other companies across the world so let's imagine for a second that you can own your data and you can go with it anywhere you can so we have two entities right on one on one hand is apps on the other hand is users so with apps it's becoming much easier to authenticate users uh configure data permissions and established one-on-one communication with with our users and it's becoming much easier without identity providers which is great also there was a report recently that would highlight how much money companies spend to store user data that is essentially duplicated across multiple databases across multiple applications and this is far into billions of dollars globally and talking about users we get universal login you can say we already have sso on web 2.0 but there is no privacy there is no ownership and there is no granular data permissioning all those things will come with a web 3 sso all right let's dive a little bit deeper and see what three major milestones we are seeing merging together in order for it to become a reality so first users would need to bring the data on chain and off chain data then they need to connect with apps and and other companies in a new way we need to make sure the portability of that data exists and rewards working well and also they will bring the reputation because once the digital identity is formed they can bring the reputation with them imagine your creator on youtube and those policies are getting worse and worse and you cannot really leave because you have all the followers with it all the content there but that would be a reality where you can actually do that and you'll have those platform compete for you and obviously we need a set of tools to help people own and manage their ownership and identity and this is what we've been working on so currently we're seeing more and more of our customers they bring their data on chain on off chain and we package it up together and we're building out tools that allows them to manage their permissioning and privacy and this is a very exciting time for us and this is very big part of the reason why i joined unstoppable and the connect part this is where we would need some development help and have people happily helping us integrate with other companies all right a few words around getting integrated we're not going to get very technical deeply i know this is it's a workshop we're not going to code anything here but i want you to give a brief understanding of how it's going to work for the user it's essentially simple you type in your nft domain and you sign it with the wallet and you log in that's it but it gets a little bit more complicated if it gets too complex just let me know basically we have three layers and app blockchain and authorization server once you type in your domain as a user it gets looked up off of the blockchain and then it returns authorization server url and that redirects your app redirects the user to that server and at this point the user gets asked permission to to to actually share their data points that the apple configured and very regular procedure here just user signs it and make sure that um the access is granted and after that basically you will get to a resource server that would return the metadata that was granted by by the user and at this point that's pretty much it this is how the communication would work between the user and the app it gets a little bit more complex when you try to integrate it but if you want to just see it it looks something like this so this is one of the live integrations i think some of the people can see from that screen you connect to the wallet make sure you input your email uh no email domain and then at this point uh you sign the that you agreed sharing some of the data with the application and that's it those are all three simple steps and we are really excited about this bet from the business perspective and currently we all already have about 60 live integrations with different apps and also about 40 already confirmed we're growing really fast and we're already seeing about 2 million domains registered and this will accelerate rapidly especially given the strategy for this year for growth and also as you probably know if you've heard of us before we shift it to l2 that means domain is becoming scalable and some of the apps can integrate with us and actually get domain free of charge and if you still don't have an nft domain at the end of this deck there is qr code that you can use and get a hundred dollar discount and and play around with it it's a new technology that we're very excited about a few other things if you want some inspiration and maybe a developer and you looking to see what people actually want and a couple of days ago we just went out and asked some of our customers and a few thousand people responded and they would like both web 3 and web 2 applications to have unstoppable login and this if this is what people want is something that we can build and it's something that they will use and this is definitely something that we're very excited about all right uh i guess after the super bowl if you're watching the qr codes became more popular right and i would urge you to use the third one which is the access to this deck and then you get to to use all the documentation linked to this that you can review you can connect our discord channel as a developer so we can definitely help you out and at this point um also if you don't have an nft domain you can just get your hundred dollar credit and get one play around with that see what it can do for you uh that's gonna be it for me and we still have a few minutes for questions yes questions raise your hand and i'll bring you the mic questions
