Coury Ditch: Ethereum Name Service - Lightning Talk | ETHDenver

all right um I already saw how many you guys are developers casual it'll ask a question how many people here have heard of our committee with DNS for your okay great so I was hoping this would be so the European nuclear side five Thomas Stanley before citation thought the food stick - all right so in SS for Tyrion dating service and what what does it do well it makes that jumble of crap turn it into something beautiful it makes your wallet or dress you can happen you do RL for your wallet just now you're not probably what yeah you know send money to 0x that makes me question behind you according to five cents tended to in theory demagogy who can tell me what DNS stands for domain names for the clothes actually what inspired the experiences all right have you left the trick yeah don't do demanding with pizza so what is that dude let's turn this which is an IP address into this essentially in all no E&S intended like high rated centralized decentralized assume you have like root servers and things and trickle down but for the most part like very centralized and they're kind of under attack like all the time in there fits and looks and that's what these office of it but yes because it is exiting to the blockchain like the registry not like a phone book of wallet good work human really is completely distributed everyone who the full node has a copy of this hope for the press so it's very hard to break not scalable really at this point because lucky why is it it work was like really simple just because we're assuming and we're not computers we you know computers don't care two letters or 10,000 letters numbers that's beginning with it you didn't want something we want a nice experience you want to go to go spend money and it helped get these damn things completely [ __ ] you know one step at a time I know many of us have had modern Republic's have natural like digital reaction come on but now you feel like that that was really disturbing picture of their like kinda wall is already implemented this you go there either the date and a lot as a result the Blair Waltz did with routine dot Tex tech stack yo help unit either oh you'll get in that all right out of the question what are stat it's like it's like when rednecks go out and wreck impaired Lincoln another hot dog developers are like due to the run I won't now like it what one of it yeah I wasn't last at limit a she might legal PHP have your operate ISM your computational engine your status or you might equal and your language and then user adapted it in great browser vault and volley on top all that you girl we needed you know xlix existed is pretty we're going get it about our connection rule crazy and this is changed slightly for wetsuit we have like the mean stack and and but we still a DNF and things are constantly changing it in this day what what what what's the West breathe death so EDM during Berko shades they certainly don't have a knocking on web 3 but like there's this pretty hockey game right now that's that's you're like OS and competition that runs the logic the business logic that's written in your lid and use your data storage is the swarm idea that want to get really specialized they can form and I get that is like [ __ ] one you're not downloading it anything for my essential server you're you're downloading stuff peer-to-peer to be good you can go to a sure distributed peer-to-peer web site type in maybe you miss browser which is done by the Aamir Khan nation or metamath which is a Chrome extension that allows you to connected flat three and now that we have Ian X we don't have to complicate this ridiculously long hexadecimal numbers you can just type up your theory foundation up get like centralized website so we so obvious why that's awesome but hopefully in further meetup seeing or maybe talk backwards all give me about quit another interesting problem that that this I think it's all I could be wrong but sinkholes do those triangle and who here is familiar with Zuko woke up he's the creator of the cash pulled up so he's been in the state for a very long time to hold like a pump and not know it I love his article 2001 called nain this should secure human-readable choose to this was like over 15 years ago so it is human evil it's very easy for humans to read it centralized more or less but it's not here so the response to that is DNS step which is human equals here but not nearly a professional now we have all three I think you know just kind of cool like pop you go since meta yeah what is this is that I know I was just cool there is a prophecy they say that all the triangle the triangle to go still artists imagination with it you just got dang with some table and I'm going Emily the data be the solidity government's deployed on the test network this is two things unveil and masses congregate I don't know if there's a thing for that how do you get your own name well go here's website 100 4.27 is up one thing good in DNS stop coming but you can also do it through my 12 but you have to bid as long as the name is available there will be a time delay on a number of names but for the most part the name that you want this most likely example and you put in a minimum of a pointer one II and we did what's called a dick pic Rainier they smile auction where you get a match you're expecting or bid and your name and you're feeling it in DiNapoli's and sticking it in a smart contract and don't know it and after three days you all whoever bid it have to review and the review period last bid and if you don't reveal boots so only the people who are feel the highest bidder whoever has reveal there is great they pay the amount it second-highest bitter bit little like Blacula it's actually interested in sees metallization that buy some brush add cement ratio and then once you win we're if you win you set it up if you point to what color result for contract and yes guys if you like a equal public resolver and make your on it you're savvy enough what did people give you is the ability to hide a name to an area dress so in your endeavors state just like wallet that that not Sasha but attention high controlling and also a swarm or I get attached so you think this is like the content of your website your specialist but Bob HTML top certain lines in there round but you can create your own couple is over and then tied to a number of things like maybe is it quite a dress or maybe your dog's name whatever in and also get a self going which I think will be quite popular like this the first case I see imagine like Alex stop point date study or poor adopted by McCoy date into the utility get your own stuff in so we want much easier and money work and that's it there any questions [Applause]
