foreign [Music] my name is Boris polania I work for near Dev hop where basically near the developer Dao and I will talk about today about the boss is the so let's talk a little about that the blockchain operating system is basically uh a common layer for for browsing and discovery or web experiences right what this means is this is a decentralized front end platform is like instead of deploying to Virtual or whatever you just deployed here is 100 decentralized so you won't you cannot be censored you cannot be you know taken down and is based on react components um uh yeah and that's basically what the boss actually does so I will show a little the the the the the technology stack here so the boss is like the the base layer and you can use any blockchain on the on the back end um it could be it doesn't have to be near you can connect to you know ethereum or any EVN compatible that can be called through either JS and then you can have the data platform the discovery platform and your components uh that you develop they sit on top so what is a component the basically does these are small applications and you develop and react like and and once you develop the usual deploy to boss and the boss do the compulsion so you can basically put it available on the network um there are so many Dev tools and you know we have the IDS we have the open source we have the documentation and that's where I'm heading now so let me see oh let's talk a little about the hackathon we have a ten thousand dollar bounties at the thousand dollars in bounties we have one first place of one uh two play second places of two and three second Places third places of one the only thing you need to do is to deploy a component in in Boss the back end doesn't have to be near just the component has to be a deploying boss I will show a couple of samples later of components the volume boss with the back end on near with the nearest Smart contracts or with components you know based on a deploy on in other other blockchains in ethereum okay so first I will give you a general architecture of how a Boss application works so the main the main component is the the website and then you will have multiple components right in this in this specific image uh the feed the the text box is uh it's like it's called the components Widget the time I go with you the command everything is a widget right uh so that's how you you create your your your website on your front end on boss I will go a little more a little more so I will I will show you a little more you know the basic widgets we have created some widgets so you can it can easily use for everyone so the basic widget this one is is it C is I just say it's just it's just a glaring some variables and and this is running on Boss what you're seeing here this is running on boss right so you just create some variables and then you call it the same way you will call uh information or in in react right so if we change the the Anna for Boris the weight of data automatically so this is is the kind of widgets you can you can you know develop this is very basic I will show later there are many compo everything that is deployed in boss is open source and can be can be forked uh so these are just the basic we create we created when we developed the documentation so we have an image uploader we have one that manages markdown uh overlays like let me show you how the overlays so basically this standard relay so you will see more but these are the basic ones but I I don't have much time so I want to go to the basic how do you actually deploy a component into emboss right so you will let me see in the commentation you will see the if you want to get this you want to get the list you will get the links to the online IDs or the local IDs so we have online ideas this way so this is basically uh you can you can code your component on the left side and then you can you can see the preview of what you're doing it's very easy very a standard so that's it and when you're ready you just go ahead and publish you click here in Polish it will ask you for it will show you the the transaction you will save data uh since I I didn't change the area it won't ask for gas but if I were to change I'll show you later it will ask for gas for gas as you know near this layer one uh it's very very low gas very fast so it would cost way less than a cent to deploy it depends on the size but many of the basic components you will do at the beginning will be very you know no gas but you can also use your local ID right you can use a visual studio or you can for example use uh I don't know a cursor so let me show you how is you just need to install the plugin do you just find it and you is there in either in course or in vs and you just create a new let's go so it Global New York jsx uh you put it there let's take some basic boss there's some basic code here so we'll start somewhere put it here and then let's ask the charge gbt to I don't know add that drop down and drop down drop down menu we wait for it and then you just sorry about that so let's just copy paste it or whatever you want to do or you can cut it yourself whatever so you put it here you save it and you polish it oh oh you can cancel you can see the preview here in the same you will see it here uh and then you just go ahead and polish the the component here it'll it will ask it's a new component it will ask for gas so you will have to have a new wallet or my near wallet they are very easy to set up standard wallets nothing nothing you know crazy there sorry I'm assuming you know some basic crypto and so once it's approved it will tell me here that it's ready and then it so I will I will just go ahead and find my find my uh a global additional new jerk eat Global with uh how can I see it I lost it I don't know what's happened oh it's in the other one so it's called a global New York City anyway see so let's hear New City it's like to find it that I cannot find probably still slow the internet but it should be published and then you will be able to see it so let's try to try to see whatever you guys the entrance is low let's try again okay uh so let's try if it's not well never mind so all right seriously but then here you will find and you will see it this is the one I use for the for the for the for the workshop it's a little slow so it would show here and you will be able to you know so you you will see a source and you will see it live here so basically that's that's how you deploy a component into boss so basically you can do it on the online IDE you can do it on your ID BS BS based uh um IDE and then you just polish it um that's why basically what we are asking for the for the submission right you deploy a boss component and oh that's another part so then you can there's two ways you can do this if you are if you are if you are here so you can you can interact with near smart contracts here um for example or you can interact with other non-non like ethereum a smart contract right so for that you can basically uh use either GS and then you you set up your network it's you have to be EVN compatible so you basically set up the e3s and you just call it the same way you will use their their a3s in react so this is a this is the this is the one that connects to little as you see it's a standard then you just call the ergs you set the network you set the you get your you get your approvers it's the same thing so just use as e3gs was working there so you just don't need to add anything else just use it either GS asked to connect the smart contracts or you can so you can see that this is a basic component you will see it here if you just call either is pre-installed you don't need to import it or anything else and then you can call and you can set up the network if you don't want to use a ethereum you want to use other EVN compatible you just change the network and ID and whatever you need and you just concode smart contracts in another Network um or you can use a near near smart contracts it would be better simpler faster but you're not you're not tied to use it on this near smart contract talking with nearest my contact and rust is you know beyond the scope of this one but this presentation but if you stop by we can and you're new to Ross new to Smart contracts in near yeah just come and we can help you with that so yeah so this and then if you have found it backend you don't want to do the back end in I don't know in in in any blockchain it's still valid right you just need what we're asking for the hackathon is to have the front end working on on busts right we there is some you have we if you go to the uh the applications page you will see many components every single component can be forked so you can reuse the code uh you can see the examples for example one inch has a component running on Boss when you can do the swap so this is that this is a one inch component you can easily you know get the the fork it and use the code as as you need it or you can go through all the you know the long list of uh components that we have you'll see here there are many components here you can just check whether people are doing and reduce and as you as you wish so that's the basic idea that's what we want for the hackathon um we are there if you need some support in deploying boss um just let us know um this is my if you need gas money if you need some near to to you know start deploying just ping me on Twitter and we send you a code you will give you more than enough so you because uh boss is mostly mainnet so you need you know you can use a facet you can you need some action here so pick me and I will send you some nears so you have enough to be able to code during the hackathon and as I mentioned before there are you know ten thousand dollars in prices uh yes to buy and you know be beyond that uh having your your front end deploy in a decentralized platform it's have the is is what this is all about right like reality centralization not having to rely on centralized uh entities I think you should you should give it a look this is working and people uh so far you will see there are many many components and a lot of projects and jumping into this because I have the benefits of not having to relay and at the end even in costs cost wise you will see it's more convenient than the the centralized options so yeah give it a try we are on the on the booth uh we can do any no technical support you need help you with the first component help you with the near and you need to deploy whatever you need uh yeah that's that's it I leave this here and in case you did it done yeah I hope to see you there you can get some slack too and yeah see you there thank you
