Hello everyone. We are here at the 11th European Blockchain Conference Blockchain Conference . I am Alyona, co- CEO of the Reblok agency. And with me now is Philip Bourne, Managing Director of Thundaa. Greetings.
Hi, it's amazing to be here. Thank you. Very, very grateful that you are with us today. How is everything going? How is the sunset?
The sunset is actually wonderful. I meet many different people and have a fruitful exchange of ideas between many parts of the industry. Honestly, it's just great. Cool. So, we're going to talk a little bit about microlicensing and regulation.
It seems you are one of the first to receive something so comprehensive. Tell us a little about the onboarding process for users. How does this change processes for them? How do you see them liking what you were able to achieve for them? First of all, we now have free micro-licenses in Europe, which sets us apart from others.
And we saw that our experience working in the regulatory environment, especially over the last 7 years, getting license after license, really paid off because it helped us gain the trust of the regulators, understanding what we needed to do, and therefore having a much easier path to getting it because we already know what to do. So know what to do. So , fortunately for the client , fortunately for the client , the onboarding process does n't change too much, as we've had AML-compliant processes in place for a long time. We engage users using the requirements and needs of local jurisdictions, and we do it, let's say , as simply and conveniently as possible for the client. This is very interesting.
What are you observing regarding user trends? What have you noticed in the last year, perhaps something that is different from what you have seen before? What are you looking forward to in the next year or so? A few things. I think one really big thing is that one really big thing is that ultimately users have become even more interested in the crypto world.
A year ago, we saw the US election, a big boost from both a user perspective and an infrastructure perspective, and from institutions now showing more interest. So, we see this impacting how the industry works because more and more professional players are joining it. Therefore, it is interesting to observe for all parties, because, firstly, the convenience of using crypto assets is increasing. But we also see that more and more traditional players are realizing that players are realizing that without crypto they are falling behind, and young people in particular are increasingly using it as their main investment tool. Perfectly.
I think many of you know that the changes we've seen in the US and Europe over the last year have certainly contributed to this. So do you think next year will be a year of growth for us, or are we still in the early stages of the "hockey stick" and the real leap will come later? Honestly, I think the next year will be very significant for growth. We laid a great foundation this year. Again , through collaboration with corporations—both outside the company and inside, with BDS—we are working more and more actively not only in Europe, but also internationally, and we are seeing results.
Many professional players are showing a desire to enter the market, and this, as I said, will gradually lead to a " will gradually lead to a " hockey stick" effect. But adaptation bears fruit; Understanding processes is rewarded, and this in turn leads to new applications. Steeply. As AI now permeates almost every aspect of our lives—both personal and professional— and professional— how do you think it is being incorporated into the habits and capabilities of crypto traders and users? In many different ways.
I mean, let's start with how we at Bitpanda use it for personal efficiency—it's a huge step forward, allowing us to add more and more tools; but we also use it to prepare communications, for professional yet effective work both inside the company and outside. This is one side, but we see that many of our users use AI as a tool for gaining knowledge: they communicate with it about how to invest better, they understand their portfolio better because they get information in accessible language exactly when they need it, and that is exactly the moment when we see real results. Some of these solutions are more like experiments with how we can communicate with AI that is already on the market, and some are about the interface itself for going to market. So, in many different areas. And one last question: How do you see trends in Europe and users in Europe compared to other regions where Bisana operates, and do you see anything unique that is worth sharing with our viewers?
I think the most special thing is that it's not really that different. We see different levels of adaptation around the world, and in Europe in some regions it is also higher or lower. But there are a few key points that are similar. Young people tend to invest primarily in cryptocurrencies, in areas with high liquidity. In fact, youth is the best time to enter volatile markets because you have opportunities, and even if you lose something if you lose something , it is not so critical.
So this is happening everywhere, all over the world. But it also means that we are entering a time when in the next 5-10 years, traditional players will no longer have these customers, because new major global and European players have already attracted them. Very interesting. Are there any final words you would like to share with our viewers today? It's great to be here.
This is a great event, and in the end it all comes down to communication, that's what will make us great. One hundred percent. Thank you very much for joining us. Thank you.
