Interview with JB Graftieaux, CEO at Bitstamp | European Blockchain Convention

[Music] hi everyone uh welcome we're BBC 10 here day two uh speaking to the brightest Minds uh in the crypto industry I'm an Onin Co CEO at rlon Tech PR agency uh I'm here with JB GTO and CEO of vit how are you yeah very good how are you I'm doing well doing well how has it been for you at the H yeah it has been amazing you know we have met uh a lot of uh customers and Prospects and uh a lot of very nice side events as well it has been very well organized in a beautiful city of Barcelona so yeah it has been two intense and very interesting days at the same time so amazing anything you saw here at the event that caught your attention um yeah I think you know there's been a lot of conversation on tokenization uh which is uh a topic that uh essentially uh you take care in every single conversation so that there is a move at the moment on what's tokenization what's the future tokenization we building tokenization so it's quite interesting and also as as we have seen it's more and more institutional uh companies interested in uh in crypto and how they can offer crypto access to uh to their to their customers so that that's the main discussion points that we have been experiencing over the last two days are so been very effective so do you want to maybe tell the audience a bit about bitstamp yeah sure so uh bitstamp we are a crypto Exchange uh company has been established 13 years ago so we are the longl lasting tripto Exchange in the world our stance has been regulatory first and Security First we are offering tripto access to 5 million customers in the world uh I think our specific is our regulatory stance with 53 licenses in the in the world today uh so we are offering access to rtire but also institutional uh and we just signed a share purchase agreement with Rob not coule of months ago thank you so we are very excited with the the transaction and the opportunity which will compete at some point exale Co so uh being a global exchange uh uh you guys are facing a lot of uh need in terms of like the regulation and adjustment how does that how does bit stamp uh work around that yeah sure so first of all you know we have uh almost one third of our employees uh involved in uh compliance legal security governance so for us we take compliance very seriously uh as mentioned we are like Security First compliance first it's very important for us to give a the most uh trusted access to crypto to our customers which means at the same time you need to manage a portfolio of more than 50 licenses engage with regulators and uh making sure that you know you stay ahead of the regulatory game and at the same time notating any uh evolution of the regulatory landscape like m in Europe for instance but also in in the US uh but we are we also have operation in in Apex so yeah global company Global remits a lot of activity on the regulatory shs all the time yeah I would say and how do you manage uh you know having both retail institutional uh sides of the business how do you manage the volatility of the market and the changes in the market looking at more traditional Alliance right so we we have uh we have a solution which is a white solution essentially that we can offer to uh Banks or payment providers whereby integrating bit stamp as a you know as with apis as a white level solution and offer crypto access to their and customers so there's a combination of you know our care clients directly but we are offering also uh good products to b2c B2 b2c uh segment and in this conference for sense but also in the last couple of years we see more and more institutions uh trying to enter the the crypto Market looking for partners and the right solution uh to accelerate right there go to market and I think we are very well positioned in that context having more than 20 Partners today using our Solutions and uh it's it's a faster integration you don't you don't have to be an exchange you know you integrate our apis and after a couple of poter you are you are good to go and enter the the fpto space well um anything else you'd like to add before uh we wrap up uh yeah let's let's maybe talk about Organization for a minute sure go ahead uh so yeah I think you know for us we are looking at oranization probably at the next maybe uh at the next cycle for for the trip to Industry where uh security tokens for equities or balls or real world assets might become a kind of commodity in the future uh there's a lot of conversation so it's quite exciting to see that development beside also the you know the natural or traditional trip to space you know if if I miss it thank you so much thank you so much as well yeah enjoy the rest of the friends
