hi my name is kri Michael and I'm here to give you weekly updates on our learning so far on web three Bridge cohort 11 one experience I've gotten is meeting like those that are seniors me that I learn I learned new things from them different people from different society that we are not related like meeting them connecting with them um knowing about different different things and about technology the the environment is comfortable the aces the meals are prepared on time the rations are decent beds are comfortable it's toilets are neat it's we have internet and um it's a really comfortable place I think they did facility is lovely CU most of the times you have um we have new content to read that's on this side but outside you have a walk you have Springs to meet up you have which class which clashes with our classes on here um it hasn't been easy but knowing the value that this program brings um I have to like prioritize it more than what I already have for now what is the virtual machine an evm is a decentralized virtual computer that operates as an that oper a nor time environment for executing the smart contract on the um blockchain Network on eum network um it's it ensures that the code is executed in AIC week how the EV works it can be divided into four parts the first part being uh smart contract de deployment which is uh a state where the developer deployed different smart contract to the ethereum network the second part is transaction execution which is is where um users interact with smart contract by transactions by sending transaction the third part being the evm evm execution this is where the ethereum virtual machine interact with different um with a smart contract by transaction which is the input then the final stage is um States updates when the ethereum state is being updated with the new information that has been executed by the smart contract some of the key features of this etherum virtual machine is that it's touring complete meaning that um it can theoretically compute any type of um competition and then it's isolated it's it's in a sandbox environment and so it's um difficult for bugs to get on the blockchain as a whole because each and every one of those transactions are running on a particular node per time and um it's um State updates uh frequent the blockchain the each node have to come into consensus for the stat of the blockchain is being um updated and so um it's been an interesting experience learning about um the ethereum virtual machines and and all of that and we generally are looking forward to learning more [Music]
