2024 ETHTaipei Demo Day - Team 7: Gridlock

[Music] ch what's up Taiwan all right my name is Ben and I'm the art director for grit law this is nor swap he's a team lead and special shout out to Kum if you're out there somewhere in taipe or in here he did a lot um so yeah this is our game grit loock um and it's a so basically I will let him explain because I unlike him am a total beginner at this uh he's the expert here what I all right so what R is is a is a special nft collection so they are nfts positioning like GD and don't worry you'll get a demo um and the idea is to build all kinds of use cases on that grid so we built a a small fun game that kind of looks like s of Katan or like R um you can collect resource I think you'll see that in the demo um we got inspired by taian and we had too much Roba because we decided to collect resources to manufacture uh Boba and sesame bonds this so good uh so basically you're going to be a harvesting Ser milk wheat and sesame to build this delicious delicious foods and with them you can hire farmers and soldiers so you can make more food and hire more soldiers and neighbors uh because that's what we must do um all right so the idea of like speciaal ns are kind of cool because they're situated in space so we have neighbors right NF is special because of where it's located and also every nft is like special traes um so in the case of our game uh something is cool is like distance affects game play so if you send soldiers an expedition to attack a neighbor that's like not really your neighbor actually is far away right they're going to take a long time to be there during this time your territory is completely defenseless so the the distance affects the game play and you could imagine our ideas um to to leverage distance and some ideas to leverage a grd like this would be like some kind of collaborative Scrabble like if a word is made using the word that's on your Square you earn points at to defense where you have to prevent people from attacking you or reaching go or battleships I just added that after the prev presentation but thank thank you thank you guys um all right and then you can yeah I really like blockchain games because you can easily extend existing games like the game we build you could easily like add new buildings new units and things like that so uh like you know stok to that kind of stuff and let's get demo uh yeah you're going to be my pry assistant it's like the roll up I do have zero knowledge about this all right all right so um this is the grid can you scroll the grid a little bit and see the one below so we printed a bunch of territories because I didn't want to be clicking buttons all day but basically it start us all like this and then you can could you Min an N so basically like the territory is going to be revealed when me confirm conf yeah reject uh yeah just re bottom and everything she's never used met mask by the way so how am I doing guys uning users demo live uning so we should be seeing something happened but of course demo effect oh notion is it INF famous like non SP you guys ever had that yes we have okay you want to see how to solve all your problems like this is Lely going be fun [Music] uhet yeah there we go up there we go hopefully that doesn't trick hey I'm pretty rich on this sh ni that's up guys it's so good um all right hopefully that solves it I want we just reset yeah there we go okay right so this is a sugar Plantation it makes sugar we got one worker there you click on land details yeah just one just picking the picture oh so details like location like the type of thing then you a bunch of things also pred myself a bunch of resources um so let's make a boba yeah all right you can make make a bu over it as well B and then that can be used to buy a worker and a soldier right and um yeah it's not very exciting but you see Works um yeah which which oh we got we got other guy over there and a soldier and uh now I'm going to disappoint you because we don't like attacks doesn't work on the on the contracts we didn't get time for that but it works on the on the back end now it works in the contract sorry atum atum did his actual job unlike me uh and so yeah we just have the bottom word but but yeah that's uh that's what we got and uh thank you very much all right uh questions nope all right uh transor next up transor
