Devcon 5 - Ethereum Swarm Breakout Sessions - Distributed storage meets incentivization on Swarm

good morning everyone my name is Rajesh matka and I'm joined with Rick Hendricks again who's who's were here together with with IOB laps who is partnering with swarm to build this distributed storage incentives so before I dive into it and actually really Rinka is the expert here I will just very briefly introduce who we are so I owe me Labs is a organization that is building our escape route stock and arif OS so refocus is a one-stop framework that is adding the layers that are needed in between in between blockchain and developers so that's storage that's a level two payments naming system gateways service marketplace and things like that so we partnered in July of this work to integrate swarm into the rift storage system and for the last three three months we've been working together and I by V I am in rincón Fabio who's here Ralph Marcelo and Santiago and Diego masini who are all members of this joint incentive track that we're doing together and we've been building this addresses of the notes so there's breath in your network and idea is that if I as a note or like a user of swarm needs to download touch chunks I can retrieve them upon the months and then again magic happens and these chunks are somewhere assembled and they're being shot in a browser or wherever anyways like this sounds very nice right but any problems with this Thank You chef yeah okay well there's no incentives really because it sounds nice and all this junk so being spread throughout the network and people just host it but it's in the real world if you want to build like a really robust and DDoS resistant and scalable Network you don't have to pay so now you have to you need to denote in a network thing that must be compensated for hosting us to so this is the incentive strengthened that's what's important so it means swap swap this swarm accounting protocol and it's like base layer of incentives in this work and really they're the core idea is that instead of paying for everything which happens in the network you keep accounts of what you're doing with your peers so in a sense notes keep track of balances with all the peers and the balance can be either positive or negative and now look the balance still feels too much to do with one sides so if we are if the beer which we are connecting to or like yeah so if the pair of bills too much to one sides they OPM and if it penances tilts too much to the other side they expected payment filmography and this is like very high over what the swarm comes in what school is now I just introduced a bit more in detail
