[Music] Look, we got to talk about something and it involves you as an NFT owner or an NFT creator. This affects everybody. Everything's about to change. It's so so important. We need to talk about this.
NFTs are awesome. There's no doubt about it. It's here to stay. It's going to change everything. It's the unit of culture.
But the problem is speculation. For the last 6 years, speculation has overtaken the market. Everything's about floor price, volume, royalties, and the number one thing that's been missing is how do you you actually use the NFT? What do you use it for? How do you interact with it?
And that is the key thing that's missing. When we made NFTTS or ERC 721, we never imagined it to grow so big. It was honestly super awesome to see everybody rally around this awesome technology. But when we designed 721, there were three things that were missing. One, NFTTS were never meant to have onchain mechanics.
It was built to focus on buy, sell, trade. Number two is we never imagined NFTTS to live across EVM and all these other L2s. And number three, we never thought NFTts would become your online identities. But things have changed. Six years have passed.
We have to talk about what's the future of NFTs. Okay, look, there are three things that are going to happen around NFTs. First thing, your NFT is going to live across the entire EVM. Number two, as the owner of NFT, up until now, you've been waiting for the creator of the NFT project to launch products or experiences on chain. In the future, you as the owner can plug in apps and light contracts and really power up your NFT to do things on chain.
Number three, your NFT will become your crosschain identity. It will be in some ways your internet identity. You're going to log in as your NFT across any of the DAPs and that will become a form of your identity. Everything's going to change about NFTs. It's already here.
All the NFTs that you have in your wallet, they already have tokenbound accounts. That means they already compatible. They already work in this new future. You literally didn't have to do anything. That's the amazing part of this.
This is in some ways a magic trick that exists only on the blockchain and is about to change everything. The future of NFTs are in your hands. You owe it to yourself to make this leap. We're here together to push this ecosystem forward. If not, what else is there?
