okay so he does he's one of the core members of bitcoin community in taiwan and also the hackerspace um he's the one of the key holders of taipei hackerspace so appreciate this venue here um and he's going to share about vips so welcome um today we are going to talk about uh vip are already done in the bitcoin so i'm not going to introduce how to uh propose the the bitcoin vip i'm going to talk about the implemented already yeah okay and this is already in 0.21 yeah okay okay and i'm i'm i'm interesting about uh bitcoin tour network and also china firewall uh what i'm interesting about the china firewall because i have stayed in paging university before for two years so i have uh two years to hack or attack or how to bypass or how to close the channel firewall yeah it is very interesting and i also work in academia similar in taiwan and also now i'm the phd student in national taiwan university and here he is still late yes serious yeah i'm a grade one student yeah okay and with the this is china china central bank digital currency yeah um research about that yeah it's pretty cool yeah really yeah pretty cool they have awful like training i love it okay researcher so i know someone's thinking about obedience okay uh let's talk about how how one what uh vip is already done okay and this is vip9 the bi thing my nine is for stop work what what is why it is very important because if you want to update the bitcoin protocol so you have to use a very very hard kind of to update the protocol for example like using how to update the block time lock like check long time verify or check sequence verify how to how to update this code it is very hard to update it so we so vip 9 is make it easier to update the protocol so the ip9 let you have a chance to to update it for example like uh oh which is what uh like there is there is miner and there is a version number version number in hex and there's two you know her title is starting true and this is means already support vip 9 for protocol okay and next page yeah and vit34 is talking about um we used uh version two block and what is going to be have for example like uh um we can update our uh vip and also power portables frequency signals synchronize 29 yeah yeah vip and vip 11 is talking about multiseek and multistic is how to use the multiple signature like this is the script and we have to put the script pre and put and also put a script inside and we have and we can verify this transaction is already we can spend or how to lock the the bitcoin inside but there is a lot of problem inside because this is the script multi-script multiple signature is a script and this is very large so you cannot put too much signature inside and also you cannot put too much publicly inside so maybe only two of two or two of three okay there is no too much you cannot put too much strength inside okay and this is very big okay so we have next vip to solve this problem vip 13 and vip 16 we make the uh the script a notice multiple signature the script to make a hash one time and we can use wrapping script to to to verify it so we put the script in the right side so we don't have to put the lock on the chain so if we are the user we just only have to use the written script and we can upload and the the minor and the node can verify the transaction you can be spin okay and also uh because of the vip 13 so we can have a smaller multiple signatures multiple transactions yeah so that's called p2sh okay shiva and vip 14 uh there's uh they add the subversion number black star torture 5.64 or bitcoin qt 0.4 okay and vip21 we add the uri inside that is that is the example below over there and we can make our own qr code and also make a label or you want how many money you want okay okay and vip 22 and 23 are just only as some api rpc json update and what is this update for uh this this for mining or some something like we we can use more more things to build our own tool like a blockchain installer or mining pool protocol also inside it and also multi-term mining there there's also have a like bitcoin mining you can also when you are mining bitcoin you can also run rsk and you can also mine block state chain you can mine several chains in in one book yeah okay and in vip 30 uh we we can create a new transaction with the same transaction id so you fix this problem and that is the ip30 fixed uh just figure problem yeah and vip 31 is help identity note that that already died that not already died and they called we use ping to know is this note already died but they just changed the name just called pogba how how can you well invite you to people and then turn on again how do you say king again and in vip32 they develop they designed their hd wallet and this is the first actually wallet i've seen and okay vip 35 37 yeah 100 11 and 133 they are all about sdv note spv note is a kind of bitcoin like note but there's a lot of privacy issues so um there are already will be the history there we have a new kind of light node will be developed they're called neutrino node that is that is called that is used for lightning because sbb there is too much attack inside okay and there's uh many people talk about the ysdb is not secure okay and vip 42 they are talking about the issuance issue um it's interesting and we know in earth early sitting 21 in in 2014 and the bitcoin will not issuance any more bitcoin but there is some bug inside they can continue to issue a new coin so they fix the issue yeah and vip 61 this is already disabled by default so next one and vip 65 66 or okay all of them they are all talking about how to put the the time lock inside we have many kind of time lock like a relative time lock or stop oscillate turn up and uh so how to how to build it uh we can use check sequence time verb sequence verify or that is the op god have already been added and we can use check block time verify to to check the the the timing side and where is the time we have to use the we have to uh know what's the blockchain node what is the new kind of time so vip 113 they have a median time past log time to let them know what is the time inside the blockchain okay and the next one so what is the timeline you're going to use for uh softwork uh maybe we can use vip 9 or vip 34 and we can make sure oh when we will finish the the update for how to follow when we will finish the voting okay so this is very important for the software and also lighting network there is a use a lot of uh time blocking site also check check block converter like or check sequence time locks check provider and the number three is the crochet a question can also add the template inside and also sidechain you can use it in in the bitcoin yeah and vip 70 71 and 72 is already being removed how they remove the code they just disable don't turn on this protocol so if uh so in in 0.20 they are already disabled the launcher inside so if the if the node they have already using 0.

20 and they were definitely disabled there are no this kind of service inside there are no support this okay and replace by fee that is very interesting yeah uh yesterday there is a replacement via attack yesterday and and how they use this protocol to to to to attack uh they just uh use more money or because they change the transaction value inside or like uh there is a log time inside and um announce time oh forget it okay if you write it all inside and it makes you allow to use replace by free protocol if you write zero your drawing inside and you don't support it okay you just banned yesterday there is somebody using ffff and it means you can change the transaction and it's it's broadcast through kind of these different transactions in the same times so there's two blocks there two minor a mining pool that creates generate uh two blockchain two different blocks in the same time so there's a a prompt and also there's the apon prompt but they didn't go into the blockchain yeah yeah there is the yesterday news how would we respond oh just a little longer yeah so it's very successful with that uh maybe one confirm in one problem right now okay results how how do you recording is substituting yeah simple change we are very comfortable the video [Laughter] okay and there's a lot of update for the segwit and really a lot like uh how tall to make it make a bitcoin coin support a separate transaction or a new kind of script or new kind of trend new kind of address or new kind of network how the transaction memory pool to to check this is new kind of they didn't know that is new kind of transaction okay next and also change the network and there's uh uh also another optimize inside they are all for segwit and this is the address they're already at and but this is version zero or fetch 32 this is the new kind of the segwit address there's some some problem inside so they are already designed a new kind of batch sensor 32 called batch 32n that is already designed by peter wood that is the scientist of the bitcoin ob tech and uh also new kind of transaction id called w transaction id have already been added inside okay so why they are focused on segwit and they can what they can do they can expand the size of the block maybe everyone thinks that bitcoin block is just only one and b but it's already uh nearly two and b okay like that so you can build a new block it's nearly two and b two and b two b yeah and you can reduce the transaction fee or you can make the transaction fee more cheap okay and because the signature the the because the the the size of the signature didn't have a high battery don't don't have don't need to cost too much money to avoid the signature okay but what they're say with and solve the transaction mobility attack this is very important because uh if the bitcoin have a valuability obtained they cannot build the lightning network they cannot build the sidechain because they have many kind of transaction transaction id they cannot check make sure there's only one the same transaction inside okay then the protocol rejected by larger than one megabyte one larger than there's a new kind of things called weight weight oh yeah and weight is going to four and b so foreign b and you can't uh compute to the real size so we have virtual size is weight and this is the real size yeah this virtual sensor is formed yeah okay and vip 155 is for the tour version 3 and it's already be done yeah just for two one months ago or two weeks ago yeah you already can use it and now uh one one guy called lupus who passes design and also writing the code for the i2p support and how about and that is the neutrino because there is a many problems in sbb note so after affecting the lighting network yeah you can use all the lighting network lightning light nodes are using your three nodes because if you have to own your own blockchain it's around 260 gigabytes no one want to have a 360 in the phone okay so there's the neutrino yeah and neutrino upgrade graphics around 100 or 180 megabytes it's very small sdb is more more more smaller yeah but neutrino have uh have have so so a lot of privacy issue and a lot of the tape yeah and bitcoin sings the 17 version they have already supports the pruned node and but the network don't know what is pronounced so they will have a vip to support what is pronounced yeah and uh pspt there's a this is maybe it's a new kind of transaction you can sign a product and you can give the next one to send a part of and you can finish the transaction for the yeah and pspt is not uh good to use because there is no too much ui and no too much developer are reading about this kind of new protocol so there is no too much tool to use it okay this guy is called jimmy song he's a teacher yeah maybe teaching what is bitcoin and he designed he he made a vip to make a new new unit yeah it's called bits okay only for qt only and um around a half year ago some by some guy to make a new proposal about signet signec is a centroid yet and we have to there's new kind of money inside but you can find some way to get some point and you can test the new kind of signature inside you can testing tab root and snort signature inside and vip 3440 and 41.2 they are all about uh temperature ip code or new kind of transaction what it would be okay what's the last time maybe six months from today yeah shy okay uh this is the last page okay don't be afraid yeah uh so what they are doing for the next um bitcoin op code is around uh 133 ob code inside and um that is really hard to use but it should look like a sublime code yeah it's not friendly for for the developer and peter wood and andrew clostron that is the scientist of the block stream they design a new kind of uh language and this is high-level language to make the ob code design be easier okay that is me script and main screen also just only support now now is only support for segwitch and transaction and in the future there will support table transaction and patch 32 and this 32 m that because there is some issue inside so there is already have a new proposed of the new kind of address okay and in sandwich transaction uh they add the version number so they can update the new kind of transaction or new kind of address inside and pspt is not good good to use and maybe it's not uh there's some problem or this can be improved in in the future so there's already have somebody is designing pspt version 2. yeah and also support i2p and i am trying to using my macbook because i buy a new macbook and i'm using apple and my support trying to build the bitcoin version yeah and i'm already successful yeah and transaction yeah there is a many kind of transaction inside this p2pk paid to public key is the first one and also they have the address multisig script hash and segwit version yeah and this is the p2 tab root this is new kind of script yeah so in the future i think more people using p2tr maybe in the future maybe okay that is the no more okay this is the last stage so it looks like uh in in paris uh vip there are some uh gui related uh also like like uh we don't usually see how people propose how to build a gui [Music] usually the proposal is about like a protocol or like smartphone databases but yeah you can do whatever you want yeah exactly but it's interesting to see if i have um oh so um i know the lighting network doesn't grow as fast as expected and is there any way to i mean for bitcoin community to promote it or to make it faster oh there are trying like uh there's a lot of vip going to support for the lightning and also a lot of vip vip bitcoin yeah like yeah it's all for for the lightning and also there's somebody are designing the washing tower because the right network only two people connect right and if uh how will you go away the way in shanghai so there's new kind of things new kind of uh people call the washing tower and they can uh watching what we are doing yeah they can judge the bad guys yeah so and also there's some issue about the the reward of the washington tower because what about uh it's in theorem d5 is the hot topic right now so for bitcoin i know somebody was trying to do like a bitcoin d5 so there is no virtual machine inside so somebody wants to build a virtual machine in the bitcoin so there is some product called rsk yeah and maybe customers want to use their virtual machine to support the bitcoin is that why you learn that they just give me the t-shirt yeah so just find a way to support virtual machine like cross-chain so that is very important and also uh liquid bitcoin liquid network is trying to do something like that it's still going i thought it's dead liquid is still going here what's yeah uh current process of vip they say if you try the new vip today and uh who got to review it i know there is around 40 people in the bitcoin core and they can merge and they can reject everything so maybe you can write a mail to them and they will maybe don't accept except you are going to the vip yeah only around 40 people they are from block stream or or train code or from lagging lab or mit yeah they develop around the world yeah so some people don't know who they are yeah um i have a question it's like i guess for beer and they're trying to develop the ecosystem and that's the focus right now but for bitcoin it seems to be the payment yeah yeah so there's no other direction they want to go to they just want to secure the network make everything more secure yeah more more for lightning maybe faster so eventually the idea will be like a purity here yeah uh they are always thinking about how to make the lighting key possible so they are changing a lot a lot of fluid inside yeah and also there is something very interesting like obviously turn like on anywhere i mean everyone already yeah and i found that the usd is uh issued in the with buying away it's actually still a lot of usd inside and there are also somebody are designing how to make the operator token can be using lightning yeah it's really cool and it's still developing by all meaning yeah yeah so um would they have many script does that like further expand their functionality of customers and whatever do they actually you know there's a workflow or just for oh there's a web website or you can tell it's not incomplete so it's already complete it isn't yeah very important i mean not to worry about it it's already complete because they're all bitcoin have 133 ob code and they have been disabled 10 of the code in 20 20 2010 yeah so they cannot be too incomplete because somebody used their ob code to issue more more inside yeah okay any questions all right i don't know how
