Okay, now we have the keynote. 1 billion transaction per block, enterprises scaling on BSV blockchain. Please welcome to the stage Axel Mazonev. Mazonev. From BSV Association.

Okay, so hello everyone. Really nice to to be here. And muito obrigado for for coming here. I know it's the only word that I know from Brazil. It's the only word that I learned.

So, I had to keep practicing my my speaking my Brazilian speaking. When I return to Spain, that is where I'm from, I will do some some lessons on on Brazilian. So, I'm from the BSV Association. The BSV Association, the main objective of the association itself is to support the what we called the BSV blockchain. The BSV blockchain, I don't know if you have um seen or you have heard about the BSV blockchain.

It is one of the biggest blockchains by market cap in the entire world. Right now, we are I think in the position 86 or something like this. But, it's one of the of the biggest ones there. And I wanted to do this presentation because uh I've been in blockchain like for a a lot of years, like for 5 6 years. And I have seen a lot of problems in the majority or in in almost every blockchain in the world.

And they promise a scalability and data throughput. And the thing is that for example, one of the things that we are seeing right now with agentic payments, with machine-to-machine payments, with enterprises that want to inscribe that on the blockchain, we're seeing that what we really need is a blockchain that is capable of having all this throughput of data. And the thing is that when you have an enterprise that wants to do 1 million payments in 1 day or 2 million payments in in minutes, for right now it's almost impossible. So, I wanted to start this presentation with one question. Why do you think is the main use case right now in blockchain?

So, I will let you like 20 minutes to think, okay? And I will answer. Now, jokes aside. So, one of the main use cases right now is moving money. So, when we moving money, I'm referring to any transaction in the blockchain that has like some money transference, you know?

So, the 30% of all the volume on the entire blockchain world is only with stablecoins. And I didn't put this on the slide, but the other 20% is only on trading, is only on withdrawals and deposits on exchanges, for example. But, it's everything with money, with transferring value. And this is incredible because to put this into into perspective, for example, if we see the Visa volume on 2025, it was 16 trillion dollars. It's a quite a bit amount of money.

I won't shop a sandwich with 16 trillion dollars. I I can assure you. It's incredible. So, and in blockchain in 2025 was almost the double. So, if you think a little bit about this, it's like how it is possible?

The blockchain volume is literally the double of the Visa volume, but my father or my grandmother is not using blockchain. If I talk when I talk about blockchain and I would crypto to my father, he thinks that I'm a scammer. That he is partially right, you know? But, the thing is that how it is possible that the volume is the double and it's not broadly adopted in our day-to-day lives? Because in Spain, for example, I can't I can't pay with crypto.

So, what is this problem that does that the blockchain is not adopted globally? So, one of the main problems, for example, is user experience. If you don't know about blockchain, it's complicated to introduce yourself and to pay with a wallet, for example. So, user experience is one of them. But, what I think is one of the most important things in blockchain technology is a scalability.

Because I'm going to to say one thing that I think is very curious and is that we can see everywhere with hundreds we have hundreds of blockchains, hundreds. And every single blockchain is competing with themselves. But, any of these blockchains is capable of being better than traditional systems as Visa. So, if one blockchain of the hundreds that we have is not capable of be as good as Visa, why they are competing between each others? There is it makes no sense to me.

The blockchain competition right now. So, for example, to put this into perspective, Visa right now is capable of of making 65,000 transactions per second. Payments, you can say payments, okay? 65,000 payments per second. Right now, there are almost any blockchain that is that is capable of doing something like this.

If we, for example, mix together Bitcoin and Ethereum, they together only does like 20 30 transaction per second. And believe me, if the top blockchains in the world are not capable of of making something better than Visa, why they are competing? The There is it makes exactly no sense. So, this is the exact thing of here on BSV blockchain that and the association itself that we have been working like for the past 5 years on creating technology that is not competing with the blockchains. Because we are so confident about our technology that we are not competing with other blockchains, but we are comparing ourselves with traditional systems like Visa.

So, for the people that don't know what a node is, it's like the base of the blockchain. Um a blockchain cannot exist without its base, that is the nodes. The nodes run all the blockchain. So, if you want, obviously, a system that is a strong, you need a base or a node that is really strong. This is one of the problems with many blockchains, that their base is weak.

So, their system will be weak as well. And we have worked with a lot of a lot of years, like for the past 4 5 years. Our CTO, for example, is CTO Segio Escartin, one of the guys that work with us is that speaker man, I think, or something like this. So, the thing is that we have worked to create a node that is capable we have called it Teranode that is capable to manage terabytes of data. What this means?

This means that if Visa is capable of doing 65 transactions per second, we have be able to do more than 1 million transactions per second. And if you want to scan the QR, guys, you can scan it. There is because it's not something that I say, it's something that we have tested in real life environments. In in BSV blockchain, we are already using this technology. So, this is one of the most important parts.

Because thanks to having a node like this, the transactions and payments will be almost instant. But, there is a problem here, too. Because, okay, you could have a node that is capable of doing millions of transactions per second. That's nice. That's impressive, okay?

But, it's not as impressive. Because if you see, for example, TikTok, you see Facebook, you see a lot of companies, they already do this type of transactions per second. The real problem in a blockchain is not only the transactions or the payments that you can do any second. But, there is something that I think that the major part of the blockchains and the blockchain applications in the entire world forget. And is verification.

Because I it's another question another question for you guys. What do you think is one of the most important parts on blockchain? And it's not paying. It's not inscribing data. It's not storing files on blockchain.

The most important part is verification. So, if you pay to someone with blockchain and you don't have a receipt that says I paid that someone, it doesn't makes no sense at all. And this is the problem that the 100% of the blockchains have right now. And if that if a blockchain wants to manage millions of payments every day, needs applications that are capable of managing millions of payments every day. And if you have millions of payments every day, being able to verify your payment on the blockchain, it's almost impossible.

And right now, the blockchains right now, the protocol that they uses it's it's not a scalable at all. So, this is the very important part and really the the upgrade that we have done in BSV blockchain. And is that we have done and we have created a node that is capable of doing millions of transactions per second. But, the most important part is that we have created a whole technology stack that is capable of supporting these millions of transactions. So, all the people that wants to build something on our blockchain on BSV blockchain, they will be able to do it in a really really scalable way.

And I'm going to say because this is really interesting and I think that the best example and the most easy example to understand this the the the complexity behind this is for example take an exchange. I don't know if you have used some crypto exchanges or you have bought Bitcoin, Ethereum, but every time you do a payment or for example you enter to Binance, you enter to any exchange and you want to deposit some cryptocurrencies. So think that you deposit these cryptocurrencies, but Binance or this exchange need to know when you have put this cryptocurrency. So the thing is that the 100% of the blockchains right now what they do to verify your payment is totally madness. And sorry to say that because it's a harsh word, but it's Okay, it's Yes.

So the thing is that for verifying your payment they had to scan the whole blockchain and this is something that is done by every application, every blockchain application in the entire world. So imagine the situation. I pay to someone of you and to verify the payment you are not doing it, but there is a system that is doing it by yourself. They had to scan the whole blockchain searching your payment. This is not a scalable.

Imagine it's only my payment, but imagine that there is 1,000, 1 million, 2 million payments every second. If you had to scan the whole blockchain for every single payment that is occurring it's it it makes no sense. And this is why Bitcoin, this is why Ethereum, this is like the vast majority of blockchains are not capable of doing a lot of transactions or a lot of payments in a consecutive way because they had to scan the whole blockchain. And the thing one more Okay, and the thing is that this is solved with one protocol that was invented like twin almost 20 years ago. It's not something that we have created.

It's not something that we have invented. It's not incredible modern technology. It's something that was invented with Bitcoin. And in fact almost every blockchain in the world can implement this protocol. What is the problem?

The problem is that all the blockchains in the world has spent millions of billions of dollars creating a technology that really doesn't work. So changing this is almost impossible. This is why four or six years ago we have developed our entire technology based on one protocol, on this protocol that was invented 20 years ago that is the SPV protocol. With this protocol you can verify any data. If you have for in our case for example with millions transactions per second, you can verify any single of this data in less than 1 second, less than 1 second.

And you don't have to scan the whole chain like exchanges and like applications are doing right now. And this just and a small change because it's simple to explain, but the technology behind is very complex. But I told you that if you make a payments right now on any on any other blockchain you have to scan the whole chain. But what we change of it is that you pay to someone it's maybe it's a bit more technical, but in a blockchain when you do a transaction or when you pay someone this blockchain gives you a receipt of this payment that you have done. The problem is that right now no blockchain is using this this this receipt.

It's it's not using it. It's only a scanning the whole blockchain, but with this receipt and with the SPV protocol you could check even if there is millions of transactions that your transaction or your payment has been done. And this is what we have done in BSV blockchain. And this is why we are so scalable. And this is why we each day have millions of transactions and we have enterprises that are able to inscribe their whole data on chain because remember this too.

To democratize the blockchain because if one enterprise has to put millions of files, millions of data, for example SAP, no? SAP is a database that are used by millions of users and has millions and billions of data every day. If they have to put this on the blockchain like will happen in the next year for European regulation how they are going to be able to do it if it is so slow and so expensive in any other blockchain? It's impossible. So this is something with one change and is this SPV protocol.

So this is the old approach like I said. I'm going to repeat myself, sorry for that, but this is the modern tech It's not a modern technique because it was invented long ago, but it's like the new technique and the new protocol that we use. Don't scan the whole blockchain and just get just a scan what you really want. We have some some examples I'm going to talk right now. The that's I I I got like the three main examples that we have on on BSV blockchain right now.

Then one of them for example is SAP. We have many SAP gold partners right now working with with BSV blockchain because you know that when you have a database and you have a lot of throughput of data and you have millions and millions of files every year and one every year, no, but every minute you you want to be able to put this data on chain to verify the integrity of this data. And this is something that we are seeing in a lot of on a lot of enterprises right now that they want to secure their data in the blockchain. This was impossible years ago because imagine that you want to put your data on Bitcoin or in Ethereum and you have millions of data. So you had to wait first of all 20 seconds between one data and other data to be put or inscribed on the blockchain.

That's doesn't work. Doesn't work. Not only that, but you have to pay the fees. So for any every single piece of data that you are putting on chain on Bitcoin for example you're paying like $1. What are you going to pay?

$50 million for inscribing data on chain? It makes exactly no sense. So this is why many SAP gold partners have selected BSV blockchain to be able to inscribe data very fast because the settlement is almost instant thanks to the SPV protocol and very very cheap. Another use case is the exchange. The exchange is like an exchange.

It's not a completely decentralized exchange, but it's an exchange that every settlement and every payment and every trade that you do you do it on chain. So it's not like the modern exchanges, no? Like Binance or Bybit or any other exchange that you had to do deposits, no? So you are not the custody of your funds, but Binance is. And like we have seen a lot of times for example with the hack that we have seen on Bybit the last year that it was stolen like billions of dollars.

We know the important that is that you own your own money, your own data. And this is something that the exchange is doing thanks to BSV blockchain. Because it's so fast and the settlement is instant. So every trade that you do it's a deposit. You don't have to deposit your whole money on the exchange to be able to trade.

You only deposit for every single trade that you are doing. And this change completely the perspective of exchanges right now and application. And the last one that I want to to talk a little bit too is MintBlue. MintBlue is another enterprise that is working with BSV blockchain. And right right now currently they are verifying and they are tracking millions of containers each week on every on a lot of shipments.

This basically every container of some shipments are inscribed on the blockchain itself. So obviously and if you want to be able to track in a correct way all the shipments you don't need to wait. You don't you don't you can't wait minutes. You can't wait hours because this is the difference between seeing something that is wrong and something that is not wrong. So if you inscribe Imagine that you have a shipment that has an incorrect amount of of something, but imagine that you have a shipment that you have to verify the the data of the shipment itself and you have to inscribe it on the blockchain.

If you had to wait hours to this data to be inscribed on the blockchain the whole process of verifying the container is lost. So it makes no sense at all. So you need a blockchain that is able to get the information about the container and to create and to inscribe this information directly on the blockchain and very fast. So, this is like a conclusion. If you really want to to use BSV blockchain, if you really want to create an application that is capable to have massive throughput, if you don't want to expend thousands of dollars each month, and you want to use the blockchain for your enterprise, even if you are not a big enterprise, you are in a small business, please use BSV blockchain.

Because the main objective that we have in BSV, in the association itself, is to democratize the blockchain for everybody. And we don't want that only big businesses are be able to use the blockchain. We want to everybody be able to use it. So, thank you everyone. Muito obrigado, everyone.

And we we see you. Thank you.
