[Music] good morning and a very well warm welcome to this the Third Edition of resolve Abu dhabi's Flagship International dispute resolution Forum here as you saw in the opening video being held in the capital of capital my name is Rachel paa and I have the pleasure of being your MC today I've also had the pleasure of being a resident of Abu Dhabi for almost 17 years now and I was one of the early tenants of adgm when it opened uh back in 2015 during my time with madler it's a great place to work and do business knowing that you are supported by such a robust Judicial System we do have some hard deadlines this morning so I promise to be very brief in my opening remarks but I would like us all to show our appreciation to 0gm courts and the 0gm dispute resolution Hearing Center for bringing together such an esteemed group of people from the local and International Community if we could just show our appreciation please so building on the success of the previous two editions this year's forum is held under the theme of resilience and will focus on the adaptability and the agility of the international dispute resolution Community throughout the day we'll be hearing from some key themes like the rise of AI and solvency class actions against big Tech and climate disputes I know we have people here from all over the world but we are going to begin today by focusing locally here in the UAE the UAE is steadfastly committed to being a global leader in the New Frontier of disputes by maintaining a stance of progressive legal and procedural Frameworks for the opening keynote of resolve 2023 I will be welcoming his Excellency Abdullah Bin Sultan banad Al noi the UAE Minister of Justice since 2021 his credentials in biography are too long and too substantial to read in their entirety so please excuse my brevity but aside from his ministerial portfolio his Excellency assumes several prominent leadership roles he presides as the chairman of the federal Supreme Judicial Court the judicial coordination Council and the National Committee to combat human trafficking furthermore he holds membership in the National Committee for combating moneya laundering and the financing of terrorism and illegal organizations it is my absolute pleasure to Welcome to the stage for the opening remarks his Excellency Abdullah Bin Sultan B Awad Al Noami Minister of Justice in the UAE [Music]
