Meet The Students of Web3bridge Cohort 09 - Part I

[Music] this program is sponsored by Bass team session cases currently transitioning is super three I am Billy kiss Nicole prior to this moment I recently concluded my undergraduate studies at the University of Lagos studying mechanical engineering and my name is I think before transitioning into web 3 I was at least I still am a lawyer and the community developer I am adini adekola I was a traveler and disappear on time before transitioning into Tech I am masterless if I am going to come in Mars I used to be a picture Trader that is a triple the cryptocurrency and the forest Market hi my name is Samson I am from Lagos State I do in your seats I experience before now is I was impacted my computer systems around banking Industries and in the organization so my name is I'm trying to to just last year and I used to be a Trader before transitioning 203. I wanted to be able to developer because I believe that is the future of technology and I love being part of innovative technology I also believe that if I do not do this I need to regreted to see the future I came into the electric space probably because of my interest in technology and diffusion of Technology with with law and how we can use psychology to improve processes within society and together I look at directory I see the blockchain I think solutions for its company around 14 I don't know most popular electricians 14 non-registry but I still believe there's a lot in terms of policy and how you have three big blockchain can help and last week's formed my interest in making this transition or sort of making this addition to the things that I only do so the reason I want to transition into this because I feel like it is industry and I'm traditional now to organizations is the high side I mean three of us that kind of decentralized approached to including systems that improves apart from one person voicing entity and gives that authorities to the end users us as users of that vascular system I think that makes sense a lot of sense to me and I transitioned to a team basically because I like the idea of a permissionless system I like the idea where there is some censorship resistance and there is privacy I heard about the three Bridge from one of my mentors if he was a student here I taught here for a while became a professional through this true true and three Bridge so he spoke about a free bridge to me advised me I was like it is the best place you need to come to to learn about web training to learn about the blockchain to learn about how to become a developer to just sort of give yourself the necessary skills that you need to push whatever Vision that you have I had about web free from a very close friend he told me about the community and the positive impact they have made in the community I had about 23 Bridge um on Instagram when I was going through I was trying to search for hashtag blockchain technology then I find a couple of pages and I also found with you read as well I also hear about three Grinch for my friend who is that I think from the passport and even though she will tax the experience as I was should be able to spiritually process a friend request for me and I'm glad I'm here [Music] was a bit scary for me because I really wanted it so bad and I was scared I think that is a bit of tension for me I was getting around with kissing but thank God I mean now when I got selected I was really happy and excited I felt so blessed because I believe that since the first time to be called me to achieve my dream as a proctor developer experience getting into the program it was great I was able to raise the dentist and I was very glad I did um in terms of experience doing getting it I would say it was a bit was detecting sort of not not because I don't spend a lot of my ID behind the system writing quotes a lot of time before coming here I spend most of my day just preparing Breeze friend documents giving talks and sort of just surprising people that's usually my day-to-day so I had to shut down that to get in sync to get prepared um to get into the process like to apply for this um I'm very grateful that I'm here um I was very happy I think among myself I told our other mentees Although our Mentor we have our phone I applied now for foreign I was happy to be here because I knew how much stress I had to go to so far so good the um my experience with the um attitude test before entering this uh Community was was competitive I don't know it was worth it I felt so cool when I was selected among the participants of the squad the process was quite straightforward even though it wasn't as easy as I would expect he would judging my own experience however I think I was I was very excited when I when I when I got the information that I was chosen the reason I chose Western Bridge as my choice place of story because they offered a more physical one-to-one approach for engagement and compared to other side it's particularly free so there's no other place involved or England Nigeria that you can get such quality education and social institutions for basically free I think it's just also I think the advice that should be convenient for that my experience during the process it was basically basically I was my horse training process because I don't know what it just to look like even though I was hopeful that whatever comes going in soft and after the test I was happy I was happy because I passed details and I was granted admission to into the privilege and after 16 weeks I hope to have way way mono lady what we're doing and the blockchain space Also becoming very I will be able to develop smart contracts I'll be able to understand you're doing Technologies um I'll be a footsteps my expectations from this program will be able to see myself in about two months from now as being smart contract developer so I've been able to build systems just as competing the other build systems we have for three organizations about being able to use Smart contract systems and then students and be excited about it as well but my expectations for this program currently I think quickly well is to become a blockchain developer and to see how the blockchain can provide Solutions some of the things I'm thinking about decentralization about governments and policy and also to suffer be an evangelist for work three and we have three adoption across Nigeria and Africa thank you this program
