Good morning everybody. My name is Kartik, one of the co-founders of ETHGlobal, and I'm super excited to welcome all of you to Pragma. This is a conference. For those of you who are joining us for the first time at an ETHGlobal event, we are known for doing two things. We run hackathons and summits all across the world to get the best people in Web3 to stay in Web3.
Today is our first Pragma of the year, and there's a few things that stand out for why we created Pragma and how Pragma is structured. Every Solidity developer knows that smart contract starts with the word pragma. It's not just the beginning of a developer's journey, but for us, it's a call towards pragmatism. The goal for this event is to help you understand what's going on in this space, and really bring Web3 to a much wider audience. This is one of the events that we do that does not require to be a developer, and we want to talk about all the things that everybody is excited about.
And the way this thing is structured is what makes it different. Today is a one-day, one-track event, which means that we're not going to make you choose between multiple things going on at the same time. Everything happens in this room on the stage. Every speaker is an executive because we want to bring on people who are making those decisions that affect how Web3 evolves as an ecosystem, and you get to see what they're thinking about for the products that you use day-to-day. The focus for this whole event is going to be about the future.
We're going to talk about how things have evolved from the past, things that did went well, did not go well, our learnings, but we're going to give you a preview of what the next 6 to 18 months look like. And everything you're going to hear is going to be kept non-technical, which means we're going to still cover things that are kind of highly in-depth technical topics, but we're going to do our best to make sure that you don't need to have the prerequisites to understand something super deep, and we'll give you the necessary context as part of these discussions. There's 14 sessions scheduled for today. Five of them are interviews, nine of them are talks, and we're going to go talk about all the things that you're going to see, and we'll give you a preview before we begin the day. Everything that's happening today is on the schedule postcard, which you may have received at the beginning of check-in, but the schedule is also up to date with our website, which you can find on ethglobal.
com/prague. Now, there's over 500 people registered to be here from 38 different countries. This is one of our bigger events, especially with ETC being the same week and the ETHGlobal hackathon. So, we're excited to meet all of you from all across the world. And we also have 11 incredible partners that I'm excited to thank for supporting this event.
Want to give a massive shout-out to Arc, Chainlink, Ledger, Privy, Uniswap Foundation, World, ZeroG, Gnosis, Ocean, Tanerly, and Human Tech. Please give them a big round of applause. And before we kind of kick things off, I want to talk about the things that we're excited about as ETHGlobal, and that is ETHDenver. We're running the biggest Ethereum event in America this June. That's 67 days from now.
And we're excited to host this as our first big entry into the conference world at scale, and really bring in the institutional world with the world that we kind of call crypto native and work with day-to-day. We want this thing to be the place where all interesting things happen in our ecosystem. These are some of the just confirmed speakers. This is only half the list. Everybody that you know of in the space is going to be in New York, and not only just the speakers from the founders, but also generally a broader community of people who are at banks, credit card companies, other crypto projects, legal firms, and everybody in between are all already planning to be in New York with us.
We just ended the early bird tickets 2 days ago. So, if you haven't caught one yet, this is the code that's valid for the next 3 days to get back to the same discounts. You just have to put this discount code in the ticket checkout. And we get to kind of see you there in in New York. So, learn more about EthCon on ethcon.
com. We can't wait to see you there. It's going to be a thousands of people all across the finance world and the crypto world in the same building in Manhattan. Now, now the ad's over. Let's talk about what Pragma is all about today.
We have an incredible day planned. We're going to start off with a fireside chat with Charles from Ledger. I'm going to talk about how quantum cryptography changes the game for all of us and blockchains. Our second talk of the day is going to be from Debbie from Privy, and she's going to tell you how to market technical products and do a great job of storytelling and things you can learn from how Privy has done it. Then Yan from Zerion is going to share their version of how they are making institutional grade finance come on chain and what Zerion finance is doing.
We're going to have another fireside chat with Johann, who's the chief business officer at Chainlink, talking about things that Chainlink is thinking through and what matters to them over the next few years. Then Shady's going to talk about how they're reimagining wallets and what does that look like, especially in an energetic world. We're going to take a quick lunch break. The second session is going to be from Joseph talking about the Ethereum European Institute and all the efforts they're making to make Ethereum more accessible all across the EU. We're going to have a fireside chat with Stani talking about his version of how he sees DeFi evolve, and we're going to discuss more in depth of what's new with Aave V4.
Then Jordi is going to share his version of the EE Z initiative that just came out. We're going to learn about all the interesting things that we're doing on the engineering side of scaling blockchains. Then Adrian is going to give the Gnosis perspective on EEC and how we can make blockchain programming and just protocol development way more accessible and reduce some fragmentation. And Jonathan from Euler is going to share their version of how they think about vaults on chain and how they reimagine DeFi from Euler's lens. We're going to take a quick break and our last session is going to be a fireside chat with Andre talking about the developer tools in this era with AI coming into play and how we can make smart contract development a lot more easier.
Misha is going to talk about how they think trillions of dollars can come on chain and what's missing from the security and economic side of it the equation. EG from Infura is going to share his version of how crypto and AI can blend together with infrastructure that can self-monitor itself and improve. And our last talk of today is going to be Rene from Celo and he's going to talk about some new things that they've been working on, which is the proof of human protocol with Celo. So, that's the agenda. Everything is also on the website.
We're going to kick things right off.
