[Music] I a developer my name is Michael John I'm a software engineer my name is I'm a freelance frontend my name is prop progress my name is my name is David um I'm a software engineer in the we please my name is Jude to I'm a software engineer I'm majoring in front end my name is Bash kushim and I'm a student University ofos I'm a mobile developer I want to be a web tree developer because I believe um uh web tree abduction is becoming a great thing in Africa and uh you know the Block Chain B and everything so we we getting to get a lot of solutions being uh handled by blockchain technology so I just felt it's the right time to you know dive into blockchain engineering I'm looking to do more than just normal development and also like lot of opportunities to blockchain I feel web 3.0 is the future of the um internet transitioning from web one to web two and then web three also the fascinating Technologies of the blockchain and um the decentralized application and also for the user side where they have full control over their data with my background in mathematics I'm interested in cryptography and distributed systems and I think um decentralization is the future so um it's it's wise to um get involved in it now before you know it blows up I'm fascinated with the potential of web three because blockchain Network and decentralized network brings about security and transparency and as well equality because most of the web Theory application I've seen are always about the security and the transparency of it so I it really like caught my attention and I want to see how this technology [Music] works I got to hear about web3 Bridge from LinkedIn from one of their posts and I tried to read from LinkedIn then I was able to go on Twitter also so to check the activities and seeing the whole thing happening in the web 3 space and the kind of community that they have um I heard from a friend which was on Alum I heard about from a colleague of mine he's into he's not into Tech but he he knows that I do all this Tech stuff so he now introduced me to he send me the link so that's I was able to apply and I chose be because I've seen that um the they they give they impact valum to the their students so and I want to also be able to um to to learn from them and learn from the best over my research on web three so I saw some other um companies that teach web three but um I was able to meet I was opportunity to meet um a friend of mine he was also a graduate from this cohort and then he told me about C and I also went online I saw some watched some testimonial videos from the past students of the C and yeah I feel I should be um part of this W Bridge I've heard about we Bridge um for some time now and I think I met um Mr Israel um at Oscar Fest that was 2023 so and so through there I got like um D information about what we 3 bridge is exactly about and then I got I I kind of have like friends that passed Court um from web3 bridge so I kind of like L the foundation of my knowledge about web3 bridge and then why I chose threebridge was because I felt like this is the place to get grounded and the place to actually get whatever it is I want to know about web 3 getting into the program was quite um it was it was easy it was seem seamless yes from the test where we had to do a JavaScript test and then to the interview phase the interview was quite uh was quite tough but interactive at the same time yeah I think it was a seamless it was seamless and then easy quite easy to get the kind the experience I had was not actually new was yeah it was not new so um yeah it was actually a good experience the fact being the fact that I I'm a mobile developer and then the test was based on um front end well um when I started my Tech Career I was I started with front end development so it was kind of easier for me to like pick it up again and then brush up my skill to ensure that I'm able to like do my test so I think it was a very seamless uh selection process for me even though it was quite challenging because uh I'm not um a a JavaScript developer so I had to prepare for JavaScript because the test was BAS on JavaScript so aside that I think it was it was a wonderful process and I really enjoyed every part of [Music] it ah it was a mixed feeling uh because on the telegram group we were told that there was start sending mail I think on the 29 and when I didn't get anything on the 29 I had to go and check again hope these people have not sent the mail I hope I will get the mail and that that was the things that I was thinking of until when I got the mail eventually on Friday I didn't believe it I had to refresh again to be sure if it was from web 3 or maybe a technical error but I was glad that eventually I was picked I was glad for one I was really happy like in this place to get lot of rejection meals thank you forening but at just get one congratulations so it's quite refreshing I felt great cuz I really looked forward to getting in and then being able to make my Mark I was excited I was happy yeah I was very happy and I feel proud because I feel like my greet and my um generosity was able to make me selected so I was very proud of myself I see myself getting a good blockchain engineering work so I can be able to um start um uh um building in the space and able to contribute to um Africa as a my expectation after this program in P of 4 month is to get everything that we three Bridge has to offer I believe I should be able to build decentralized application I should understand the blockchain the entire blockchain ecosystem and also I should be able to um contribute into the web 3.0 ecosystem I look forward to being a proficient uh developer in the web 3 space being able to pick up uh Technologies as fast as I can and being able to build them because I think the web 3ace is very Dynamic and there's a lot of research going into it so being able to also participate in that advancement and contribut after this program I want I I want to be a confident web three developer I feel great already so I I expect to be proficient enough to be able to take on projects in the web fre space and also contribut to the growing uh ecosystem of we Tree in Africa
