[Music] hi my name is gift a front end developer my name is wolfred um I am a front end developer I am a software backend developer my name is Sams ad I am a full developer my name is D and um I'm a fron developer and also a cyber security analyst my name is calling and I'm a software engineer yeah my name is sh um a clinical pharmacist and um a Main St developer my name is akii I'm A Cloud devops engineer currently transitioning into web three why I'm choosing to transition into three Bridges mainly because uh the world is evolving and it has a lot to do with with the blockchain and web3 and I would really like to be part of that that change that growth and something I wouldn't like to miss out on I decided to be a web3 developer why because for me my goal is to contribute to the power of blockchain in Africa and see how I can contribute to the ecosystem I'm passionate about the decentralized nature of web 3 and also the fact that it empowers users um interested in in the intersection between finance and blockchain that a defi and also interested in writing of smart contract my goal for coming to web3 bridge is to become a web3 security researcher so I want to be able to break into G 10 I want to be because I have like products that I want to move on shine and it's very difficult finding a we developer to collaborate with so I want to learn the skill and build myself I heard about web Bridge from n that was about 2 years ago and based on his experience and the result of his colleagues so I was interested in this particular uh Academy and for the fact that there is a onsite opportunity to come learn I heard about web3 Bridge from a friend who is an alumni of web3 bridge um and she has been speaking highly of web3 bridge actually both on our social media pages and everywhere she's been speaking of the comprehensive curriculum the experienced mentors and the you know the community everything so I actually was motivated and I chose web three Bridge because I I I want to have an experience I have a couple of Alum are very very close friends and they are doing well so they have been the ones that have been telling me more things and I'm actually seeing the evidence in them I heard about web 3bd through an alumni um during my training as a cyber security analyst a friend told me about web Tre bridge and I I was an intent I intend in a web startup that the found the founder of the web startup was a very close person to Mr a so she suggested that I should apply for bridge my experience was mean my blood pressure was just going up and down it wasn't funny it wasn't funny I I had to literally take lot of classes I was practicing so yeah it wasn't funny it was exciting and it was a mix of both and scary well it was a tense period it was a tense period even when I I'm all my higher my hopes were all high though the people around me the people around me were telling me I shouldn't be scared it's something I can do whatever whatever but it was actually a tense moment my experience during the application process was I was just very anxious right I feel like my mom was even more anxious than I was cuz every day she was like after sent it after sense it but like when they finally sent it she was the first person I told and then she was very happy and then I was happy as well one of the things I really appreciate about the whole process is the the feedbacks the communication how detailed the process was that's one of the things that kept me coming and looking back and looking at my mails to get like updates and things like that so it was a smooth experience yeah it was nice but I didn't really I wasn't really because I applied last year I didn't get it but I I I just applied did the test and then it was just there I wasn't like really I did not have eye Ops for it so I saw it and I was excited and I was really happy like when I got the maal that I'm coming on site so was a big celebration for me something I've been looking up to and it's came yeah this is how I felt like I'm expressing it I really felt good like I just screenshot theil I would send it to everybody because I literally was disturbing everybody so everybody I disturb I needed to share the good news yeah it was cool it was like I did not get it last year I got it this year I was happy so when I got the mail I've been chosen for um web three Bridge called 11 it was really uh I would like put it I felt a sense of you know excitement and I was like finally is yeah because I've been expecting it actually for so long I felt very happy when I got the maal and especially the meal that invited me to the onsite facility I felt happy I forwarded a mail to my younger sister she was happy almost everybody around me that knew I appli for it I forwarded aail to them cuz I was so excited to be a part of the process and I'm still excited my expectation after the 16 weeks is to build a community have a community and connects with likemind developers and web three Developers whereby at the end of the day we can also contribute back to the community and also be the best in my niche of course number one expectation is better living like living the baby girl life making that door very important and of course giving back to the um environment and contributing to the blockchain from what from what I heard I heard is it can be quite like tedious the processes the classes so I'm looking forward to it to be a part of that whole process and I want to push myself to the limit to see how far I can go with um expanding my knowledge and building myself up my expectations for this program basically um before not even after the 16 weeks I believe I should be a proficient we three developer and um also like you know more like I must have developed with practical skills so my expectation for this program is that by the end I will have had a complete understanding of deps and also have at least a at least one solution to build before the end of the program my expectations at the end of the 16 weeks would be um to be able to work on live projects to be able to practice or actually Implement what I've learned all I'm what I'll be learning in actual projects and uh doing very well at it after 16 week I must have made I must have made a solid team that we could build something and then from here and then I I must have moved one of my products on shame um my expectation is to learn everything about web three and also at the end of this program I want to be able to jump on life aring I was very very excited because I had been looking for ways to basically scale myself in the web development landscape and when I saw that okay now I can actually move forward in web 3 and I was I was really really happy and I actually had to quit my job just to be here I am hoping that at the end of the 16 weeks I would be able to write practical functional web smart contracts be able to contribute meaningfully to the web three Community I'm to end cash guys [Music] n
