testing they have to explain you know just don't turn it on for you testing okay we're fine good morning everybody okay you all sit down thank you so thank you all for coming here and I have stage fright so this is really really tough for me so I'm just gonna thank people and then relegate to our emcee Lane who else has stage fright so we're doing great here when when I have stage fright I'll give you a secret I just pretend everyone's in their underwear it helps sorry it's not helping right now you know but it's okay so first of all I want to thank the East Berlin team and we have 25 amazing people working for free for it to put all these together I also want to thank the serum foundation that came with everything and provided some low light clients for our experiment so thank you so much a verse ayah I don't know okay um dance obviously if Global's for the support and the OST and gnosis for everything I have absolutely no words for how gnosis has helped us especially and marine they took over when we had some some issues with with organization and logistics so you know I'm beyond thankful for that as well I would like to thank especially colum for inspiring me every day and learning and having me unfortunately to learn so much and for the freedom that they gave me because basically I'm doing these events for free and yeah they're supporting me and everything not to see anything that's going on so I'm really really thankful for them as well and yeah finally I would like to send Gavin because I started my career with the Gavin here and he inspired me with all the web 3.0 vision and to close I would like to thank my friend Christina that taught me a lot yeah thank you all thank you for coming enjoy the hackathon it will be three very intense days so I hope you're ready and I'll leave you to it Thanks empty [Applause] cool so how's everyone doing you guys all awake over jet lag caffeinated hopefully no one partied too hard last night you guys ready to go like MP said it's gonna be three very very intense days kicking off right now so I hope everyone's totally ready as excited as I am I don't have any prepared words or anything I'll just briefly say that i sort of participated in eath denver that was the first of these eath global hackathons that I participated in on the sidelines and then I had the opportunity to visit each point Osiris as well and for me it's just been incredible to see the scope and scale of these events grow to see the number of people attending the number of hackers attending these events grow massive kudos and shout out to the youth global team for building a really strong brand and I think for those of you who have been to these events before you know how exciting the next few days are gonna be and for those of you for whom this is your first eath global event I think you guys are gonna be really really blown away cool so without further ado let's kick off just to make sure everyone's in the right venue we are here at factory Mitte and today we have a series of talks which are slightly less technical slightly kind of bigger picture and you're gonna hear from some really amazing Superstars from around the world in the etherium community talk about some really really important and exciting topics and then again just to set this stage and set the agenda later this evening I think around 10:00 p.m. we will close this event and for those who are interested we're gonna move over to the factory girl it's or park venue which is where the actual hackathon starts there will be an opening ceremony at that venue tonight and then the official hacking starts at midnight so again if you're planning to hack no worries you're in the right place we have AI are you ready cool so without further ado I'd like to introduce you guys to IME Iguchi she is the executive director of the etherium foundation with an opening and some words of welcome [Applause] is this working out hello everyone um I'm just supposed to say hi and thank you and I'm just like that that opening talk that how they open just made me nervous but hello everyone I'm a Miyagi from the atrium foundation I really wanted to say hi and thank you for this event I'm very excited to be here for two main reasons one is as you know our community is all about building things and I think hackathons are the way for me to see the spirit of spirit of our builders and they're also how the ecosystem is going and I was just another at another hackathon in Tokyo last month and and I was also at a hackathon two years ago in hackathon two years ago in Tokyo and I just this time I I was able to feel the difference like how the developers community has gone and then I was really excited to feel that and another reason that I'm excited to be here today is that Berlin is one of my favorite cities in the world so I always welcome and excuse any excuse to be here so thank you for having me just quick really quick updates from the interim foundation so as you know this this big game open source project has gone wider and bigger so with that like all the projects are not like just done by the foundation member of course and it's a collaborative effort with all the community members and so that's why we believe the communication is even more important now and communicate a tech facility facilitating the communication and also empowering community members the biggest loads of the ethan foundation and so speaking of the apartment our grant program has wrong or well since i joined we have made three different waves of announcement for grant winners and it's an ongoing effort so you can apply any time but we we make announcement like as a wave and we have made three waves of an announcement and we have provided about like more than fifteen million years the amount of grants to more than fifty fifty individuals and teams and and also the client process and our grant operation has also made some improvements that now we have community members that are actually or helping us for the screening process so like a we hope to make more improvement in the future because this is the important part of our activities and so again like i'd like to say thank you to this the organizer of organizers of this event each go about but also well also MP who is an fierce inspiring women that like she inspires me every time and i'm excited to like I heard this is going to start at midnight tonight which is very exciting and and also heard actually bride from us that is joining as a hacker I heard this is heard so yeah thank you again everyone to be here and I hope to talk to you at some point during this event thank you [Applause]
