[Music] good afternoon afternoon your Royal highnesses your excellencies ladies and gentlemen it is an honor and a pleasure to be part of the program at the Abu Dhabi Finance week I'm sorry not to be able to join you in person today but I did have the pleasure of being in Abu Dhabi a few weeks ago and what was very apparent to me was that the Emirate is transforming fast Abu Dhabi is a Place full of economic activity human energy determination vision and above all opportunity opportuni is driven by Young and fastrowing society and by this Region's unique location on the world map at the crossroads of Africa Asia and the west abui and the UAE have been a consistent Center for growth and stability in the region since the foundation of the Federation just over 50 years ago it is a meeting place of capital talent and economic potential factors that are set to make it one of the world most important trade and financial hubs as mentioned I had the Good Fortune to be in Abu Dhabi last month and met his Royal Highness the Crown Prince his Excellency calun albar and his Excellency Ahmed jasm Al zabbi the determination with which the Emirate is forging ahead with its reformed agendas be that economic financial and social is extremely impressive these are not easy changes but there is clear progress in all fronts in the goal to create a safe secure society and dynamic open Falcon economy we've seen non-oil exports grow factories are opening and you're creating jobs and investment opportunities in manufacturing chemicals food processing now I'd like to take a minute to talk about the JP Morgan in Abu Dhabi JP morg is proud to be playing a part in the journey and the transformation of the economy we have been supporting clients here for more than 40 years working with the Abu Dhabi and UAE Reserve managers Sovereign wealth funds energy companies and financial institutions over the years we have provided strategic advice financing risk management treasury custody and payment services we now also growing our support for asset managers hedge funds training entities and other businesses are all looking to tap into the rich seam of growth opportunities here we opened our office in Abu Dhabi Global Market Zone nearly 15 years ago we were one of the first Movers onto the AL Mariah Island right from the opening of the first buildings and we've watched the infrastructure go up businesses arrive and jobs being created we've continued to add to the team this year and submitted an application to upgrade our operating license to a full category One banking entity signaling our intent and commitment to the Future and the size of the opportunity here and notably we support your companies here in Abu Dhabi as they grow their businesses and we support them all over the world as they expand their operations and re reach before concluding I'd like to mention the upcoming cop 28 and our own work supporting the energy transition climate the global energy transition and the diversification of the economy are going to play a big role in the future growth of the economy we applaud the moves Abu Dhabi has been making to become a center for sustainable Finance it's a past we've also been on at JP Morgan we are committed to help clients cut emissions invest in Renewables and grow more sustainably for our part we have aspirations to finance and facilitate more than $2.5 trillion dollar over 10 years through the end of 2030 to advance long-term solutions that address climate change and contribute to sustainable development including one trillion dollar for green initiatives importantly the UAE will be hosting the cup 28 in the coming days bringing the world together around climate action and putting a spotlight on your role in the transition there's a bright future head for the UAE and I'm excited to see the progress you make at JP Morgan we're committed for the long term and will be there alongside you and our clients for all the opportunities ahead thank you again for the chance to talk to you today I hope you have wonderful sessions today and for the rest of the week thank you
