New Energy Finance, with CNBC Opening Remarks

Uh good morning. Um it's my utmost pleasure to be here today. I uh it's my first trip to the finance week and obviously it's CNBC's first new energy finance forum. I can't imagine a better place in the world to have the discussion today and share the ideas that we're going to share than right here. You know, the mission for CNBC on a daily basis is pretty simple.

You know, first of all, I don't think I've ever met a person in the world that doesn't want to make more money. Part of our job is to help them do that. Part of our job is also to make sure that retail investors and CEOs and business people like yourselves get different perspectives and information that help you make decisions every day. We reach about half a billion people a month through CNBC, which is pretty remarkable. And many of them are here uh in the Middle East.

And that's another reason why we're here today. Um I think you will find that u the forum today will touch on a lot of the topics that you're anxious to hear about. Um the combination of technology, of energy, of capital, how it's all moving so quickly together, how quickly you have to make decisions uh that sometimes last many years. So we hope to touch on the topics today that are important to you. uh we share some ideas and and answer your questions in a manner that makes this a valuable experience for you.
