I'm not going to beat Connect Tsering okay now so this is a little talk about scaling HCC like little wrap-up about what happened those three days and what could happen in the future what you've liked what you didn't like what let's talk a little bit about this so a lot of you we're stuck in queue when we did oh it's not working anymore so yeah okay yes so for those of you waiting the queue in the first day just a little bit of thank you to our partners and stuff so we are assets who doesn't know assets here yeah some people well we're sorry like because we we are French nonprofits we are regulated on profits democratically elected board every year lots of members in our associations the membership is quite cheap and we organize weekly workshops so a lot of the people that came as a speaker here came also to our workshop if you show up in Paris and you know what to do just reach out to us we probably have meetup organized and we'll be also happy to have you presenter project and stuff and of course we have open source projects and you can check it out on our github and we also do educational projects we've notably like nom the school where we are here today of course this event would have been possible without our sponsors consensus that is the exact aragón chronologic change Lea neurosis they all stack the that I found infra Napoleon X bit fly actionable and from adventures thank you guys for helping us to win this yeah and supporters oh well using an S here well anyway hmm Foundation thank you very much for helping us organizing this and look numb this famous call and also the museum so by the way I like the first slide I use a meter here because we have the meter in the museum so if you want to check the first meter you should go to the museum yep okay yeah exceptional partners chicken bacon lettuce the people from the catering I heard the food was quite good so that's because of them thanks to them so we were really glad to have this great food from this catering service and also the video production team kabuki thank you they did a really amazing job I don't know if you've been to DEFCON 2 for example we did for six months to get the videos yeah that's pretty long and they pretty much edit on the flight so yeah [Applause] outstanding elbows so those guys here did amazing job like every asset members did amazing job in this conference but I want to make a shout out to our treasurer here Etienne it was the guy responsible for we are both saying you guys that didn't give income and asking for weird thing or the few people that tried to paint as in Indians and the whole account there so we had pretty weird transaction to reimburse for this but he did a pretty good job Aleksandra here like some course with the secretary of assets many answering filtering transmitting all the mail that you've sent to contact at asset dot FL so lots of males Val so that's all over here very active members he helped us a lot with their websites and Scott Scott is a basically the guy in charge of systems so whatever happened in the conference you which ought to be many final solutions so thank you very much no it's going forward backward forward forward it was a community conference it's still a community confront because it's not over yet so shout out to exceptional community cooperation Pascal Pascal from atm Netherlands it gave us lots of help for finding students from the Netherland that we're willing to come he also organized the lightning talk session because we only had four on features and workshops in eight hours per day so we couldn't fit everyone that applied so a lot of people that apply to give a speech ended up doing a lightning talks and we're quite happy about it so thank you for this yeah thank thank you thank you thank you Pascal Thank You Pascal and the eternal Netherland meet up is very active you can talk to him about it it's great meet up in whenever you are names anymore he knew text you can reach out a new probably have allies it's your own party to attend mikoto I know if he's here Makoto yeah Makoto is doing a brunch tomorrow one more spot so look for block party he did a very nice talk on managing it against it up as far as I know it's one of the oldest step on the maintenance is it yes it is so yeah also also help bringing us with the London community I won Fisher on Visser 3 my love to you it's a wonderful wonderful time I love hanging out with you and you really helped us connecting with the eternal foundation and organizing all the stuff the fact that this agenda went quite well as far as I can tell is also a lot of things to you so thank you very much Sharon Ashley actually Tyson he here yeah Oh Ashley you know you know actually connected us with a lots of good people she's underling the web tree foundation doing amazing job - thank you very much for your help Oh George George George is not here George is not here Chaucer I'm couldn't comb but he connected us with lots of guys a lot of good project any up that's connected this guy so thank you George see you next year I hope if you're watching us we miss you Joseph Joseph is the one responsible for this 20 40 shirts we didn't ask anything from images came up on the slack and said like hey I designed another t-shirt what do you think about it oh yeah they are great and we will there's so many things to do we didn't have time to really print the t-shirts organize and say like oh that's fine I'm gonna print them and he took a plane from Prague a to Paris with those boxes and we ended up receiving a message like hey this is a picture I'm on my way okay okay a lot of people are complaining that no more t-shirts there will be t-shirts at the party tonight we have a few more - to give away speaking of community a very nice guy on reddit find the websites and find the get up we use for the website and started to do pull requests you update the name of the speakers and below the link to the talk time stamp it so shout out to block Shane and Shane thank you oh I mean sorry is great you have a pull request when you are conference yeah and the outstanding dedication of our volunteers the red caps I mean great Wow so yeah we are doing a lot of meetups so it's good we are really linking closely with our community and last year conference we also provided a lot of volunteers and its really great to have always people willing to to take those tasks and someone came to me yesterday and said like you know that red caps are goblin did you know I didn't so I check it out on on the Wikipedia so a red cap is a malevolent goblins that inhabits ruined castles along anglo-scottish borders all right well red caps castles let's think about those Oh about the stickers I have them in my bag so try to get me I give away some and we will distribute them at the party tonight party party party party party so matrix matrix to scale we have those matrix lots of Fenton these lots of speakers lots of volunteers lots of students that get in for free and some pirates so yeah we couldn't control everybody that was getting in the conference a lot of people just ended up coming so that's that's all right we are an open community well we're coming everybody so it's great it's great I mean we we we are nonprofit so we just priced this conference at costs and yeah we didn't lose money so that's fine Wi-Fi was okay wait snowman yay we only lost internet for one hour the second day at lunch this is convenient swimming was I think outstanding do you agree thank you food was great as far as I can tell and I heard very good thing about it and what about the three days was it enough would you like it to be longer no no I think that's fine and one of the thing is that when you do a conference with one only one main hall and a lot of stuff and 20-minute talks at some point I think people get bored and on the second day they say like I'm just gonna watch the stream and hang around in the town with people and the advantages of having a lots of potatoes and a lot of stream going on at the same time is that people are always jumping around from one stream to another and I think after three days you get pretty wasted what did see if we do four days next year so okay things we could have done better clearly the coffee was man so we're gonna try to get this press o to sponsor next year see how it goes and have good coffee going around was a pain yes yep no map stairs bad disabled access yeah sorry for that so we will do a best next year the workshop boom was a pain and I deeply deeply deeply apologize to all the good people that were going to do workshops and end up having to cut before the end or are we to start late yeah we will do better next year and organize better to avow for example I've seen in and video that wasn't used up there in the code so maybe next year we'll just just use this one for the workshop instead of going around the building and so on well in the end the museum and school wanted to collaborate with one another and offer you an occasion to visit the museum and so on I think it failed well yeah so that's fine but normally next year the the coffee that is in the Cotillard is linking this conference room where the workshop happened and the rest of the courtyard so would see we'll see if it get better give us feedback please we like to improve yourself so you can keep on spamming us at contact that asset ever if you have any remarks especially if they are negative please did you enjoy your time in Paris please say yes yes yes yes thank you thank you for all of those nice pictures like keep on sharing sorry if I violate your you know rights to be on the screen give us feedback we will remove the picture on keep on posting we like to do a portfolio for next year I had to pick a picture of what what we take in the in the big room no no the slice didn't updates but nevermind yeah it's a great pleasure to have a conference based on the community with people from all over the world as far as I can tell we had 200 Frenchmen and the rest was people from abroad so it's really good to gather everyone from everywhere you know in our little town even people from South Africa Australia came so and in Argentina the guy from elements to gaming thing Hey hello thank you for coming and now to Brazilians came with doing research centers in in Brazil so really get good to have you all in Paris in the same time oh it's not over yet no it's not over yet we have tried to send you emails like oh this is something we can improve also I want to have a problem kind of communication well for you so tonight 9:39 I'm sorry just show up 59 who closed eco party scene Paris oh okay so it's there just show up it couldn't be great if you were there last year it's the same place but we gone the roll the red carpet this year because we had wonderful sponsors thank you again you can bring friends yes you should should bring friends how many are your friends how many friends this is fine this is fine if it's fine well what about scalings oh so I wanted to talk about something serious but it was hard I was I'm tired so what should we do to measure the growth of the community maybe that's something we can discuss tonight like a good topic of discussion to break the ice how do we measure the growth of a community so yeah first matrix they go and he just can look at the number of transaction yeah well that's really relevant yeah number of addresses raise your hand if you have less than ten address yeah no one okay so yeah I'm not really relevant so let's think about it how do we measure the growth of a community so I give it take on this I think I think events like this is really important to measure the growth of the community and to gather as a community as one but yeah let's discuss this tonight so I tried to find mr. one with Google try to fund metrics try to find something interesting to say about it so first first shot was the Google Trends by region over the last 12 months well Kosovo show it first so was from Kosovo so one of the good thing of organizing conference in Paris is that some people don't get you have free access to the Schengen zone so we had to sign invitation letters for people to come also Joseph with the t-shirts he had trouble at the at the entries like what are those what is this box is what do you have in yeah and as far as I can tell we didn't sign any invitation letters for Kosovo well yeah next year next year are you next year I hope she Volta I know some of you are incorporated in Jaipur town so yeah she Walter yes definitely yeah I forgot my glasses I lost them so after you okay Slovenia Slovenia yeah there is some people from Slovenia right come on yeah hello thank you for coming [Applause] Singapore definitely in Liechtenstein definitely also so it's good to have you here bum bum bum bum so yeah keep on messing up I clicked on map with Google on ads guess what I found it's a town there's a village in the north of France called Earth yeah yeah yeah it's one hour away from Brussels in car h-hour from New York if you take the plane to Brussels and then drive three hours from Amsterdam if you just drive it can be shorter if you take the first Rainer let's see London you take the train and then you take a car it's one of you two hours Paris two hours by car Berlin Charles if you fry 2% and take the car maybe two hours well you get the picture and that the coat of arm of the place yeah I won't spoil yank it's got some more slides so ads this is it this is it this is okay so this is the village I don't know it's in red here so if you if yeah let's zoom in zoom little bit yeah that's better so as you can see there is a church there is a spa there is also what what is this I I think there is a castle yeah introducing Lucia to death there is a gas on Annette right yeah with a pigeon loft so what a new English word today a pigeon loft it's a pigeon yay in French cool a pigeon loft and we had a nice presentation about doing IOT bird nests have you seen those yeah okay this is the south view this is the nose is view there is a moat if something goes wrong there isn't disclosure to that so we try to reach out to the to the owner couldn't find him yet we will do will do so we do a net fest there why not why not I mean it's close from everywhere it's sunny in their summer yeah this summer it's close to the to the cable form of the internet so we should have good connection there and a lot of really like also about the community coming here a lot of them reach out to us and say like how can I rent the room to work with my team when I'm in Paris I like to work there with all my team or to gather around if you have just centralized team it's cool to always gather up to one town and then do sprints and stuff so it could become a place where you know you rent for your retreat for example oh you also rockets on oh good well why not why not so you know so we're gonna open a call for the nations we accept donation as a non profits if you became a member you have a right to vote we renew our board every so yeah why not buy a castle and do team retreats at first at wedding at wine business IG boot nose for whatever you like so yeah it could become a thing and it turns out that HCC can also mean it's Hyrum community castle alright why not so yeah we were not we will write a white paper with white white paper in French or in English - yeah we will right away people another wise yo yeah future nights and if not see you next year I showing up issuing you up the address again did it here it is thank you for coming it was a pleasure [Applause]
