but we're going to kick off into our colorado digital state content okay so one of the things that we've we set out to do years ago and i'm going to introduce our mc for the evening hannah hello so hannah's on the board of stewards for sport dao and if you don't know what that is we talk about it a lot but we're a limited cooperative association an event dao here in colorado that basically has three entities that are metadows to sport out which is eat denver this event the colorado gym technology sandboxing incubator and buffalo corn ventures which is our community investment dow so the board there's nine of us that are stewarding the event and the organization towards progressive decentralization eventually all the governance decisions of sport dow will be made by you as spork holders so get ready for that in the meantime we have some special guests tonight wrapping up the evening will be vitalik he will be doing an open mic ama in addition to his remarks on the steps to the digital state and he's not down yet okay so years and years and years ago if you know the story about eat denver we started out of a meet-up and the meet-up was like 10 people in a crappy bar and we were all just like excited about ethereum and like oh he could build all this cool stuff but like nothing was really happening and then summer 2017 happened and we started having something like 300 400 people show up to these meetups a lot of developers technologists entrepreneurs wanting to build things and the vision came out of that that you know there's a lot about colorado that really fits the ethos of blockchain's decentralized technology and we said you know why don't we build colorado into a destination of choice for this technology so a bunch of us decided to build this eat denver it's our call it our once a year annual shareholder meeting because everybody has sport tokens but it's it's sort of a new age family gathering it's a community innovation festival as we call it so hannah lives here i do works here builds here yes i'm a native she is and she has a little bit of a denver story i do i have been coming to eat denver since the first eighth denver um at the time i was new to web 3 and freelancing for vice news i came i knew zero companies didn't realize i was meeting all of the who's who in the ecosystem and later that year i joined the youth denver team full-time and helped produce all of our other events it's been a lot it's been a wild ride so we're a little behind schedule so we're going to kind of clip some of the things that i was going to say because we have a special guest
