Welcome back, ETH Global Con, 2026. ETH Global is back in town, homies.
[music]
This is not a conference. You are here at an ETH Global event. Our goal is to onboard thousands of developers into the web 3 ecosystem to focus on the builders. This is 3 [music] days of hacking. It's day one at ETH Global Con and the energy is very high.
Crazy stuff of new connections, new people, career opportunities, and [music] the best days of your life.
Everyone's coming here. They're so positive. They want to share their progress, share what they know. The vibe here is so amazing. Like the views from outside [music] are awesome, astonishing.
Paddock, the beach is literally like just here. Like that's 20 m. I can barely [music] maybe touch it with my hand. It's just gorgeous.
Very, very sunny and warm [music] and clear skies. There were so many people on the beach and everything. You just go outside, you see multi-million dollar yachts, and then [music] you go back inside and you see multi-million ideas. Last year it was super good, so I had to bring my friends. It's day two at ETH Global Hackathon.
Everyone feels way more focused. In order to not hurt my back all the day sitting at the chair, we're just like having a good setup.
Definitely more chill than day one, although still a lot of focus from all of the participants. [music] People have been working all night and they're very passionate about their projects [music] and just quality product that we're seeing and yeah, it's really exciting times. This night, no, we are not going to sleep.
[laughter]
Game's on.
Everybody seems really focused and locked in.
And day three is about presenting it, sharing everything you build, and all that excitement. I build something and then you get to share it with other people. I didn't sleep at all last night. I couldn't. Last night I had only 2 hours of the sleep.
Energy, everyone is so pumped to and pumped, exhausted, [music] everything. It's all mixed here. Some people do not want to be disturbed. They are just locked in and coding. Some people wants to go and talk to other people, have fun, get to know like what they are building.
And then there are these fun activities where you talk to people and get to see their artistic side.
[music]
You just grab a drink and then go back to coding again. We're just going to keep going and and finish the project on time. How are we feeling right now? Relaxed. So much fun.
Uh, exhausted. Super good.
Tired. Hungry. I'm so hungry. Yes, yes.
[music]
Coming back to ETH Global now as a finalist judge, it's really, really interesting to sort of see the energy shifting from this is like what the hype is about, but then now it's like I actually know what people are like talking about and I actually know what I want to build this time.
It's amazing. People still want to innovate. They want to change something maybe in the future. They want to improve. The energy is great.
All the judges are in very good moods, being that all the teams are quite tired after the long night, but they've been working very hard and are very excited to present. I'm really excited to see all the judging get complete and just yeah, see the amazing teams on stage. [music] It's just celebrating all the work that they did. Submissions so far have been really cool. I'm [music] curious who wins.
All the projects have been amazing and I'm so excited to see actually the winners.
[music]
One of the things I really like about doing these events in person is that you get to see all the new types of ideas, get real-time feedback. This is really important if you want to grow a community and especially [music] if you are trying to figure out what is the best use of a technology. And this is just one of our first events of the year and we got 10 more to go. So we can't wait for a lot more ideas to come to life. We're kind of building the the future of technology here, so it's it's very [music] inspiring to to be around these people that are influencing that.
