fundamentally everything in our world is built by people and I think we often forget that even the internet things that exist online there's people behind that that are making it work fundamentally when we're looking at a lot of these abstract Concepts in the sort of web 3 or crypto or decentralized web landscape we're talking about things that seem much more complex than they are but we're really just people trying to come to agreements about things that matter to us and make sure that those are sustained in some meaningful [Music] way if we can build the bridges that bring the diversity of perspectives together then we can make policies we can make Futures that are much better because of the creative potential of those differences I think funding the commons really does a good job at like dialing it in what's great about the funding the commment world is that you've got a set of people who on the one hand care a lot about you know social impact and on the other hand care a lot about sort of rigorous economic and incentive type things and usually those worlds are very divided from each other and it's great to see them being bridged this type of event is great because it's it blings not just Experts of Technologies but also conversations that can happen like at the intersections of different expertise and that is something we think also is important to happen now not just discussing within this etherum bubble I'm super excited about unicef's uh relationship with the funding the commons we see eye to eye when it comes to values and and the things that we believe in we see I toi thinking about technology in a positive way that technology actually can do something for good we're trying to build something really substantial uh between the community that funding the commons has already built around the events the conferences the hackathons and UNICEF with our access to young people and with are access to the most difficult problems in the world instead of building something that is perfect and then showing it what I really like about the funding the commer Community is that people openly talk about failures talking about issues that are insurmountable uh things that really didn't work and it is very rare that in a single event we have like people in a very rural very place-based communities talking about scaling relationship deeply we have people who are in decentralized governance Community to talk about scaling out very quickly with open Technologies and we have entrepreneurs and investors and so on to talk about how to scale up such ideas and so I think it is really a multi-dimensional view that can take a good idea a good adjacent possible a new future and then very quickly find all different dimensions that can bring it into a near-term reality [Music]
