[Music] All right everyone uh thanks for coming in the next uh 20 minutes I will try to convince you convince you uh why you should build a mini app this weekend I'm Takis and working on the developer products for world uh before I start I want to give some pro uh some context on what we're doing at world uh we're building the real human network uh which is our answer to fighting to AI taking over the internet. Our users get verified by an orb uh and if you come by our booth uh you can also get verified and join the network. Um this is how we guarantee proof of personhood. If this sounds interesting I would highly encourage you to read uh the white paper. Um it's not required for the hackathon but it will give you some context on uh what we're doing.

So mini apps mini apps in the context of the world ecosystem have several advantages. You get insta instant access to the 20 plus million users uh that we have. Uh you leverage exclusive primitives that we've built and we make it super simple me and my team over there for developers that are not experienced in web 3 to actually build a mini app and make money out of it. Minaps as I said leverage uh some exclusive primitives using our mini kit SDK. Uh some of which include you get uh you can notify your users uh you get access to users contract contacts you can receive crypto payments which is super simple and I will show you uh later and you can le you can leverage proof of personhood to ensure one account per user.

This is our whole uh value proposition here as uh as world. Uh we uh we um we want to fight like we want to protect humans in like in the internet because we're losing control and with world ID you can ensure that you don't have bots in your mini app or applications in general. All of this is powered by the app store. Uh users discovered mini apps through the world app store. This is the app store inside the world app, a mobile application we uh have made.

Uh similar to the play stores, apps are discovered by categories, top charts and recommended uh mini apps are regulated and viewed by us to enforce a certain level of quality. Now in just six months of launching, and keep in mind uh these numbers are two months old. So add 10 or 20% to these numbers. Uh we've gotten over 1 billion impressions, 8 million unique users and 500k users uh coming back to the app and using mini apps every day. How so you may ask?

So you can find world ID users in over 160 countries with a focus in LATAM, APAC and very recently the US. Our user base uh we have over 20 uh plus million total users. 12 of those are verified which uh means then guarantee unique humans and not bots and eight plus millions uh eight plus million users are coming back each month. Now two uh some some things about our ecosystem. We have over 200 developers and uh building in over 30 countries.

Uh we're growing 25% month over month with 200 uh active mini apps. This means that we're super early. So, if you get started today, uh yeah, you can catch a big wave here. So, what's the opportunity? We have over 40 million in TVL.

Uh so far, 900 million total opens and 20 million WD transacted. Uh but this is not good enough for us. By end of year, we want to reach we want to double our total opens and reach 100 million WD transacted. So think about this. If you start building right now, you have the chance to capture a piece of this pie because as I said, the competition is very low.

Only 200 minabs exist. Uh so imagine like the 70 million transacted uh that we want uh the the 70 millionwacted left uh for this year. You can capture a piece of this. So um but of course we have places to grow. Only 25% of our verified users are coming back each month.

And by building more utility on the finance side and more quality minaps, we aim to reach 90%. We're focused on three things as world uh scaling distribution. We're very ambitious and want to five to 10x our user base just in this year. Increasing wallet increasing wallet and water ID functionality. And me uh and my team specifically, we want to make it uh dead stupid uh to uh to build a mini app and leverage all the consumer hacks that you could imagine.

Now uh before I proceed to the demo, I want to showcase uh some case studies. Uh one of the most used uh minups is auto, which leverages word ID to airdrop one token um per human per day. So as uh as a as a as a user, you can only claim one token per day. Um plus is an Argentinian financial app with over 1 million in payment volume. Uh a borium lets you use your goldcoin um in source like Apple, Amazon, and Starbucks.

And credit um which is a borrow and lending platform. And if I'm not mistaken, credit uh the credit team raised over 5 million in VC funding uh just in this year. And teams like credit are building businesses in our ecosystem, which is very important to think about like uh people trust us enough to build on our platform and we're very committed and determined to providing the tools uh that you need to succeed. So some important links uh of course our developer docs the developer uh portal and we have a telegram support channel as well. Um if you want to build a miniup this weekend there there are two dashboards that you need to think about.

One is the ETH global dashboard to submit your entry with your GitHub repo and another one um in order to actually deploy or submit a mini app and use it you need to go to our developer portal. So these things are separate uh just I want to mention it to avoid I confusion but we'll be we'll be here for any questions of course. So um let's actually move on to a demo. I want to show you how simple it is to build a mini app and we have enough time. All right.

One sec. All right. So, this let's go. I'm going to the developer portal. I'm going to build I'm going to create this after signing up and creating a team.

Um I'm going to start setting up a mini app. So uh to start with you select mini app and cloud as an option. You can read more in the docs about like what options do we provide. Uh I'm going to name this demo at if global. All right.

Why not? Um okay. All right. And now going to the docs mini apps. Um getting started.

I'm going to use our template because I have faith that it will work. All right. Right now we're installing the template. Uh and as soon as it's get done, I will show you how simple it is and what what how how it actually looks like. All right.

All right. My first mini app. Let me zoom in. And of course, I'm using caser. I would recommend that too, guys.

Let's let's be honest. Five coding is a Okay. All right. I'm going to add uh a mock secret here. Um going to add the app ID from the developer portal and as an off URL.

Let me let me start actually this next is a nextJS template by the way. Um so and I'm also going to use Angro. Angro is just a service a free tool to uh tunnel your local uh server to the internet. Uh so it makes it easy to develop. All right.

So going to take this and paste it here. Okay. And now you see uh there is a QR code that you can scan uh with your world app and you can see um your mini app there. And let me do that right now. It's going to and you can scan it as well.

And if someone is watching on the live stream, maybe it won't work tomorrow. So, okay, server error. Let's let's debug this. Uh, it happens. Okay.

So, uh I forgot to add the URL here uh in the end. So if I try again guys live demos it happens. Okay it worked. So if someone uh wants to do it again uh what you will see is um just some basic information that you can work with is my username. Uh we have an ENS uh service for usernames.

Um, you can pay me uh 0.5 WLT. All right. And there are a couple of actions like verify uh with an orb um get token, use permit 2. This won't work right now for a reason.

So um you cannot just send um from like minup you can think of it as a protected environment. So we the way we try to uh uh protect this as a user as a developer you cannot confuse the user to send money to some malicious address. Um you need to add the contract uh to the developer portal in order to be able to make a transaction through the mini kit SDK. So right now um if you try to make a transaction in in the mini app and press like the get token, it won't work because I haven't white listed the contract address in the developer portal. And I can do that right now.

Actually, I have it ready from a previous app I made. Um okay, let's see. Yeah, right now um I cannot say set this to the screen, but trust me, it works. And this is the zero to one uh in building a mini app. Now, if you're interesting in building a mini app, of course, you know what the bound is for the hackathon.

What we would like to see is a use case that leverages word ID. So if you just built a website, it's maybe a cool app, but if if it doesn't leverage somehow word ID to ensure uh to to profit from uh the functionality that word ID is tied to a human and you can have only one account per real human, uh then it's a good app, but um I'm sorry. So try to think uh use cases that leverage from word ID. Uh that that's um something uh to consider about. Now I have six minutes.

Uh the demo seemed to work. Uh any questions? Yeah. Possible. First is of validating manual or or fully automatic applications submit.

So how does the submission delegation process work? So it's like to to submit a mini app. No, I understood how do you submit? Okay, let's say I'm someone malicious and I would like to submit some malicious app. Okay, how do we prevent that?

Oh um so the question is how do we prevent u malicious app in the app stores in the app store. So let's say here I'm ready to submit the my my app. I have to fill out some details first and then I uh submit it for review. Then someone from our team will uh do a QA on your app and see that it doesn't send money to some malicious contract. It's not uh it's not doing something that uh we found uh as malicious.

And if you pass the review, we regularly do app you we regularly monitor the your mini app that it doesn't change over time because of course it's a website. you could uh show us one website and then the other day go and u yeah change it. Second question you you showed us the uh mini kit SDK. Yeah. Is it the same kit base chain release or is it is it completely different because they call they mini building mini as well.

Oh okay I see. So the question is if that's that's more like like works in okay but that's that's called mini kit as well. Okay. Uh so the question here is just to repeat for the people that are watching uh if the our mini kit is the same or has some correlation with the mini kit that far team um has for submitting apps. Uh nope it just happens to have the same name.

Uh it's a different SDK. Uh it's a typescript SDK that provides uh some commands that you can use in your mini app like uh verify someone, get the users detail, uh get access to their contacts, uh send notifications and stuff like that. Yeah. Two questions. One question is the permissioning address which we need to fill in as far um so the question is um for sending transactions to a contract you can just use uh this uh the uh this field right here.

Yeah. H this one. This one should work. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah. Second question the one ID for me. Oh uh you can use the verify command for that. Yeah. Yeah.

So the question was uh uh which command which mini hit command should you use uh to make sure your users are verified uh and yeah you should use verify for that. Yeah. Like submitting project is it enough to like the normal global thing or do we have to like finish whatever? Okay. So uh um test with it but we have to submit it there because all right so uh for the hackathon of course you have to submit the global dashboard but here the developer portal will play a role in order to develop your app and test your changes.

Uh you're not required uh to u submit your app for review but we highly encourage it if you build something that you want uh to put out there. Um yeah. Yeah. So um the question around what considerations uh should developers have in mind when building with when building minaps uh to take advantage of the free gas fees. Um so if you done everything correctly um and use so the question here is you want to make a transaction and you want this uh to be sponsored.

All right. So uh using mini kit you can use the send transaction command and this pops up a model to the user that he can approve or reject and if he approves it and he's or verified uh the transaction is sponsored. Yeah. Yeah. You mentioned that [Music] I can say what not to do.

Don't do gambling. Yeah. Yeah. Is there a difference between my for example I'm talented from like if I do post it on IPFS, is there a difference or I can host it like I want it would work all the way. Um for for the URL here many oh you can host your app whenever wherever you want.

Yeah, I just used Angular here as an example. Most developers use Versel when they deploy their their app to the production. Yeah, I saw that that there's some apps that like specifically verified user only. Is it something just say developer dashboard only verified people or how does that work? Um, yeah.

What you want to answer that? Okay. So, you can see the second check box here. Oh, perfect. Yeah.

Yeah. That's that's that's about it. But we of course like review this that you're actually uh following this uh that yeah is it possible to uh make the uh to give this option to decide within the app whether the verification is necessary or not like to have a nonverified and a verified version of the same app. I mean uh of course you can do whatever you want. Uh but you would then take uh yes here.

Um so let's say your app um um is a game like worldly uh which is a puzzle with worlds. Um people that are uh not verified can play that as well. But um the developer has put some limitations or some uh benefits if you're verified. So within the app there will be a version accessible to those that are verified and version. All right.

So, uh the way to think about this uh with non andverified users is not like a different version of the app. It's just it you would think about this you could think about this as a pay wall. So at some point of the app you just put a hold to the user and if he's not verified he doesn't move forward depending on your uh use case. That's it. Okay.

How many of you are thinking about uh building a miniup? Okay. All right. All right. Nice.

Exciting. Exciting, guys. All right. Yeah. [Music]
