okay so i'm gonna stay here with you for a second to introduce annie phillips uh who is a curator of the uh art gallery at east denver uh she put together with yaltec a builder a wonderful um amazing jaw-dropping oh i thought i went away jaw-dropping work hi annie welcome how are you hi good how are you great to see you again yes i love your hat yes yes this is this is really this is the segment favorite segment of the whole denver um so trying to get queued up a little bit over here it's tough uh working from a little laptop um hopefully this doesn't get too buggy ah here let me switch to uh krypto voxels okay um so i did want to show off a little bit of the gallery we did last year and just to kind of show um jessica and i worked on this last year with an incredible builder named jen and so this was our first uh portal into the metaverse that we created and it has all of the art still up which is really interesting and it still links to the uh original collection so if you go to open c you can see all of the art from last year in a really great uh concise way where when you go to visit it it tells you you know there's 23 owners we had 46 items the average sale price and how much total was traded and so i'm really excited to see how things happen this year it's my hope that we exceed what we did last year and the entire collection this year if you go to visit has some similar data we have 142 items which is an insane amount over what we did last year currently one owner because they're all in the irl art collection and then tomorrow night at 5 p.m to 7 pm we're going to have a closing auction event with theo goodman and go through and uh all of the bids we've uh so far i tried to calculate what we were at so far and it's a little over five eighth and which is really interesting because at the time of last year um even though we sold 35 each it was only about 9 000 but this year it's we're at about 5 8 and it's already uh crossing how much we actually were able to cash out at um but yeah so i would love to show off some of the gallery this year and some of the interesting aspects of it um i wanted to go over to yuletech's art because he was the builder of this fabulous space in crypto voxels which you can see by going to eat denver and under entertainment in the art gallery all of our information is there for the coordinates and ah i don't want to make my screen buggy okay here hold on i'm going to like do it to where i can kind of see my face a little bit because i want to show you all some of the artifacts so uh what the one we're looking at on the screen right now is actually this pendant so one of the things i was really interested in exploring was lidar scanning 3d modeling the glb file types and um the wearables in avatar in the avatar wearables in crypto voxel which are vox files and so as you can see these objects are really complicated um you know to capture so we really struggled with it but i was able to kind of make a mock uh glb file of a lot of them and because some of them were designed in um you know 3d software for instance i do have an artifact that i made a couple years ago that kind of shows um the process a bit so basically i 3d print these objects this is a chalice um and i would be able to cast this in silver but it's really expensive and i would set stones in it and the idea is these artifacts of the imagination right it's the idea we're trying to create things that may not be able to be made by hand as well as creating these future heirlooms so the idea of what our heirlooms um look like in the future and how we can permanently uh you know document uh the ownership of these things and just the technology as well so i also wanted to show i don't know how well you can see it but this is an artifact that you'll made and it's not in the gallery either because it was special to gift but he did this gorgeous canvas that um when you click on and go to the collection is actually a 3d representation of the painting that you would get with the nft and here is an artifact he made that comes with a cryptovoxels wearable so same with alex ubatuba's warlock this pendant and so we're playing with a lot of multimedia we're really interested in seeing how we can get um more people in the space because um even though i've been a digital artist and this my third year working with eats denver as an art steward i find that a lot of people see that it's mostly digital art and don't see a path forward for them so i'm actively taking a lot of my skills and 3d software and converting files and just our outreach to a passion and love of different types of creators and helping them find ways of getting their art into these digital worlds so this is another good example which is a uh wire wrap pendant and then we were able to make a really snazzy little wearable that you can wear so the winner will get both and if it reaches a certain minimum otherwise you get the nft so we're just playing with a lot of concepts and i'm really happy with how it turned out yule is amazing he actually has a lot of experience building in minecraft and i'll go ahead and go over to gallery three as well because one of the other things you know where i think i mostly was interested in file types and 3d objects wearables kinds of this tangible intersection between tangible and physical this year but we were able to reach out to an award-winning minecraft artist named eric pham who gave us this gorgeous file which converted perfectly because minecraft and crypto voxels both use vox files and so i think that there will be a big movement happening eric was really excited when we reached out to him because he had been wanting to uh explore crypto voxels and this was a perfect opportunity for him to hop in but you know this sculpture is available and basically what we did is with the nft which is up in the top there i'll kind of point at it but um it's a beautiful video that shows uh the sculpture and then because kryptovoxel's uh wearable minting is down we're gonna be transferring the box files so the owner once it's back up uh but i've included all of that information that you would get the vox file transferred after the auction so it's definitely an experiment and that's what i always tell the artist but everyone's been really happy we're really excited about all the bids um there are a lot of artists i think 30 one of the um i think 130 artists um this is the first time minting artwork uh this is actually my buddy tyler who i'm really excited to work with we've collaborated on a lot of experiential art projects so i do a lot of stuff at like music festivals and night clubs and warehouses where we transform uh with epic stages and art installations and tyler actually has over like 200 vintage crts and computer monitors and all sorts of interesting um like displays and we have been playing with putting visuals on them but i'm really excited to incorporate some of his tvs uh with crypto art and uh in my future installations and galleries so we have a project actually happening right now in denver colorado um it's at 2715 larimer down in the rhino arts district we were given a beautiful gallery space to activate and my um business partner rob is curating an all uh international black artist showcase of crypto art and the um the money that we raise from this gallery will also go to the efforts that rob is really spearheading with the black love mural festival so we've been doing a lot of uh organizing work this um last couple of years in the black arts community and trying to find ways of uplifting and empowering them so i am excited to see how our follow-up show goes and in our physical space we will also have tvs and projectors with crypto art and i'm really excited of all of the potential um that is possible with crypto art in physical spaces specifically too because um normally i curate these giant galleries there will be 30 artists you know there's a big inventory process hanging all of the art there's limited space but i think there will be really interesting things i could do like curate a whole additional gallery of artists that is displayed on tvs that cycle through the art and then you have a qr code that takes you to uh the entire collection and allow me to like excited about continuing to see what's possible i've been incubating a lot of ideas this week and really enjoying all of the conversations around social tokens and taos and i think that um i'm really excited to see what eth denver looks like for us this uh next year because we're already able to do so much more than what we did last year and that's just because of the growth that's happened in the space so with glbs mp4s right audio wasn't possible last year um and i i really like finding just these um really incredible artists that haven't entered into this space yet so last year we tokenized people's first two pieces of art and then this year there's so many incredible artists that i think uh will see a similar successes people uh where you know this was their first uh time doing anything but i really am excited to see just how these artists take this technology and play with it and i'm also just very open to collaborating and being here for mentorship and collaboration i'm certainly not a very technical person even though all my friends think so i think that when i'm in a room of blockchain people i'm probably the most technical or least technical in the room but i love the space i love what i've been able to do with it and i'm just really excited to kind of leverage the music festival opportunities and other really cool opportunities that i have mural festivals and different projects we do to um play with um different utilities like i keep um saying that i want to have like doors that unlock that um you know or an nft unlockable and i think there's a lot of possibilities so if there's any you know people listening that are interested in exploring your technology or things that you're working on in real life environments that's what irl's all about and we also you know have been loving all of the metaverse building and would love to continue experimenting i'm really excited to you know explore more of somnium space and the central land and so many others i saw this other crazy metaverse game web world or something earlier so it's just incredible to see what people are doing and um i'm here for it so i think i have like three more minutes i'm trying to think of what else we might talk about um but oh yeah i guess i could go back and show you some of my art maybe or some of my favorite pieces in the gallery um you're getting a lot of positive comments on the comment section oh good cool is there any that like a question or anything i'm just going to take a quick look through okay thanks yeah a lot of people are enjoying the pieces oh great yeah this artist was really cool he included a poem with each one and i believe they're generative artworks and i just love what all people are exploring um just the intersections of all this technology is so cool like being able to create these new etheric creatures and share them so i just i think that it's um you know the original concept was really like artifacts and talismans and these kind of special treasures that you could um have in real world in uh vr world metaverse and so um yeah just uh trying to play with more ideas and help artists navigate the space and because i do have a kind of good perspective as an artist and technical enough that i can help artists and i'm just excited to like sit in that space too and and have uh other people much more technical than me help hold my hand and see these like reciprocal relationships we could build to uh continue experimenting so really excited and grateful so grateful to have such an awesome opportunity to educate myself um and to express ideas i've been working on for way too long excellent to wrap up can you tell people how they can get connected with irl art yeah totally i was gonna try to unshare my screen so it's not a crazy mess um but irl art is on instagram twitter um i think all of our links should be on eatsdenver.com underneath entertainment the art gallery section so um thank you so much uh for having me and yeah all right thank you very much thanks for that presentation thank you congratulations yeah i was thinking about the wearables at the virtual castle you know there's like a whole wearables now when you're in the virtual space you get to spunk it up oh my gosh my favorite thing has just been all of the crazy like characters and crypto voxels that have come through some of the artists that are in the gallery have to like most tricked out outfits and it's just hilarious there was a guy with like a pet snail and a pet rat like walking around the other day it was crazy and it always cracks me up i honestly if the wearable minting wasn't hasn't been down i would have had a way more tricked out avatar but they've been upgrading it so that's very cool annie well and for those of you who are in the castle go to the makerspace the art gallery has a booth with all the information for people who are asking where to find annie or where to find irl you will find it also there yeah and i'll hop into the um virtual castle after this and hang out and chat if anybody wants to um get a virtual beer together yeah that sounds great awesome all right take care right you too
