Opening Ceremony | ETHMumbai 2026

Uh thank you for joining ETH Mumbai 2026 best Ethereum conference and hackathon. So I I want to make this the smallest uh like shortest opening. So it will be just 2 minutes. uh just will give give you a brief rundown of what's happening today, what's happening in the next 3 4 days. So I want to talk about what is ETH Mumbai and what you'll see today around the venue is that there will be people wearing the kortas.

Eat Mumbai is a very communitydriven initiative. We are all people who want to just build Ethereum. uh some of us most of us from are from Mumbai but there are also people from outside of Mumbai who are part of ETH Mumbai and then the second part of what is ETH Mumbai is it's a there are volunteers also today so ETH Mumbai at the core is people who are trying to build Ethereum uh and especially right now most of us like trying trying to build Ethereum from Mumbai and uh so what we did the very first thing you know as uh the group of people is we decided that we are a small group. We want to bring more people together who believe in the same thing and as us which is they believe in building Ethereum from Mumbai and we hosted our very first hackathon in 2024 called Mumbai 2024 and it had 200 hackers 64 projects and around $29,000 in bounties and uh it was only 10 15 of us everyone was uh at the end of the day a contributor who just wanted to have the small uh contribution to the Ethereum globally and we started with a uh statement which says build from Mumbai for the world which you can still see on the best bus for this uh uh for this year's uh for this year's branding. So you'll see that the statement still stays true.

And then the next slide we have is uh just about what you need to do on the the next be careful about like today and uh around the venue. And what we want to say is that just there are two stages keep your phones on silent and uh throughout the whole venue not just like inside the auditorium but even outside. Uh the smoking is not allowed. So you'll have to go uh outside the main entrance for that. And uh yeah, even alcohol is not allowed throughout the venue.

So I hope no one's doing that. You can drink outside anywhere you'd like. Uh so there are waste bins across the venue. If you don't find them, like ask a volunteer. We'll help you out.

Uh so don't try to litter. And uh yeah lastly I want to just talk about people who made ETH Mumbai happen and so ETH Mumbai in itself is a people and the people who made this happen are also people. So this is a big list of speakers which will be talking today throughout the venues. Give them a round of applause. This is what we have all come here for like first and the second thing I want to give a shout out to all the sponsors.

So apart from this uh again the sponsors are whom make everything happen. So starting from the top sponsor Bitco like the next sponsors starknet Bilgill and the other sponsors ENS bound list hash tether hlsa canton fluid geo and bass so some of them are not here today which are so all the sponsors are not part of the conference but some of them you'll find them at the hackathon and anyone who's participating as a hacker can build on top of them for bounties and that's it like with this I will end the session and I'll ask you all to just be happy enjoy talk like eat network and just uh have the all Mumbai vibes and with this we'll start with the Vitalic keynote our first session so please give a round of applause and then we'll begin with the talks
