Hi everyone. GMGM GMGM it's amazing to be here. I'm Faith Roberts. I'm a web three educator developer advocate and I've been a contributor on the stacknet network for about two years and I'm here to explain to us the exciting opportunities and um the exciting ecosystem called stacknet and how we can get started as um devs, contributors, content creators and how we can create a path for ourselves in the web tree space utilizing startnet technology. So I hope I'll get your wrapped attention.

Will I? Okay. Thank you. All right. All right.

So I'm here to talk to you about stacknet. All right. So, stacknet is a permissionless decentralized layer 2 scaling solution built in on Ethereum and it utilizes stack proofs to address blockchain fundamental challenges and currently stacknet also settles on Bitcoin. So, it's the first layer tool to actually settle on both Ethereum and Bitcoin. Now what does mean?

That means as builders, as creators, as developers, you can build your applications, your Bitcoin based application, Ethereum based application on stacknet. And okay, let me just go through this. Stacknet has dramatically increasing transaction throughput while reducing gas cost. Um, I'm sorry for our non-technical people here. What it means is stacknet is actually leveraging ZK stack technology.

It is using um the ZK rollup technology called ZK stack. And what this is doing is that it helps stacket scale Ethereum at a very very large amount a very very high um rate. So currently we all know the challenges of Ethereum right the scalability issue and then that has graduated to making gas cost on Ethereum very very high right now stagnet has created this technology using ZK to make it faster to make it much more scalable as at now as at currently the transactions you can perform on stacknet are very very high very very high and the gas cost is very very low because of this technology it is using it has used as a foundation to build upon. All right and oh thank you very much. We are no longer blind.

Okay. So this is um an overview of what I mean by ZK stack. It's um zero knowledge, you know, it's transparent, it's scalable and all of that. It is using this technology, like I said, to make transactions very very fast and almost seamless and almost um the gas cost is almost insignificant because you wouldn't even spend up to 0.003 for a transaction on stacknet.

And if you are performing transactions like 10 of us are performing transactions at the exact same time, these 10 transactions get bundled up together and share the gas cost. Share the gas cost. So it will be relatively cheaper than 0.003 is like sharing it among 10 transactions. That is how scalable it is.

How does it achieve this? It uses the stack proof. So on stacknet L2 we have something called the stack prover. Now when you perform when all of us in this hall perform transactions on stacknet what happens is that all our transactions get stored somewhere in the memory pool before it get added to the blockchain. So at that point on stacknet L2 these transactions get added to the block and these transactions are being bundled up together to become one transaction that will be sent to layer one.

So because of this um action all these transactions have been bundled up will share a gas cost making the gas cost relatively cheap very very cheap and then when it gets sent to layer one on layer one that is Ethereum there's a verifier on layer one that verifies this one transaction that has been sent from the prover to the L1 and it verifies it and then after verifying this transaction it um adds this transaction to the block which makes this transaction reach finality on layer one that is um on Ethereum. So I'm trying my best to break it down for the non um technical guys. So like I said at its core, Stacknet leverages zero knowledge technology to bundle thousands of transactions into a single proof verified on Ethereum revolutionizing how blockchain applications scale while keeping the transactions faster cheaper and maintaining the ecosystem. So why join stacknet? We have the technical advantage.

you position yourself at the cutting edge of cryptographic innovation with kairop programming language. Now if you are right if you are building on stacknet we don't use yes it is there to scale Ethereum but it is not um EVM compatible so you cannot write solidity on stacknet it has its own programming language called Cairo and why is it using Cairo the compiler that stacknet uses is not the EVM it uses the Cairo VM because it is leveraging the zero node the zk stack hack technology to make programs verifiable. So everything you write can be verified and if all of us are performing transaction at the same time instead of it to slow the network which happens on you know mainet and then the gas price gets very high because the network is slow at that moment there's lot of transactions what happens in um stacknet is that it uses this zk um knowledge technology and then bundles all these transactions into one. So it it it um hastens the network makes the network faster instead of being slower and then it shares the gas cost amongst everyone. So it uses Cairo programming language which is a ZK part programming language a provable um Turing complete programming language that helps us to perform transactions deploy our smart contract on stacknet utilizing the security of um utilizing the technology that zero knowledge has to offer cryptography and all of that on stacknet and then makes your program very very fast whatever you build as a dev.

Now we have um another reason is the growing market. The L2 scaling market is projected to capture significant value from the ecosystem with stagnet positioned as a technological leader in this transaction. It has a growing market and I I just said it also settles on Bitcoin as it settles on Ethereum. So if you are a Bitcoin dev, Ethereum dev or you come from that line or you have that knowledge as a creator in the space, you can actually build on stacknet. Then strong backing is supported by stackware, a company valued at $8 billion and embraced by major projects like DIDX, immutable SAR ensuring ensuring longtime viability.

The ecosystem is reaching critical mass with over 100 projects building on stacknet and major exchanges already offering direct deposits creating perfect conditions for early contributors. What are the opportunities in the stacknet ecosystem? We have development opportunities where you can learn Cairo the programming language to build your stacket powered smart contracts and programs. And then the ecosystem needs developers creating everything from DeFi protocols to gaming applications and infrastructural tools. So if you are a back end, front end guy, you can come here.

If you know smart contracts, you come and learn Cairo smart contract. It's still the same foundation of every smart contract. The same foundation um the same um typed language of any programming language that is statically typed. It's just that it uh the only difference is that you're learning a different syntax this time, but it's still leveraging on similar background knowledge of what programming languages are. And then there's developer tooling and infrastructure builders.

We have community building. If you have skill in community building, you can join the ecosystem. Help grow the ecosystem through education, content creation. If you are a content creator, yeah, you can participate in stacknet community management. Yes, you can participate in stacknet.

Stack net is technical writers explaining complex zk concept like I said is leveraging zk technology. So if you are good at technical writing, come and understand the the technology powering stacknet and you can write about it. You can break it down for the general people to understand what stacknet is. is no longer being a very very um technical term any longer. Yes, Stark needs you.

You can participate, you can contribute to the ecosystem, community managers for projects and um regional hubs. We have various hubs doing great things. So if you can do that, we have um David from the build. The build is one of the greatest stacknet node present in Africa is located in Kaduna state where we have stacknet champions emerging from the community. So yes, you can set up your own community.

You can contribute to stackment in this light event organizers uh for hackathons and developer meetups. We also can contribute through research and innovation. You can do ZK research and implementation specialist crosschain communication protocols, privacy preserving application designs. Now for for to get started joining the stacket ecosystem, we encourage you to learn the fundamentals. You go to stacknet.

io. It gives you all the resources you need, all the whole knowledge you need about um being in the stacket ecosystem, how to get started. So you can if you are a dev, you can build your first project using developer tools. If you are a nontechnical, engage with the community and um yeah there are some opportunities specific opportunities you can you can um take in the ecosystem like and be an open source contributor as a dev if you learn Cairo that is technical and you get paid for your open source contributions in the starting ecosystem. We have a program called Wolfpack League.

Workp pack league is like um content creation for starkness. So if you are a content creator and um you are interested in participating in stacknet come and learn about stacknet and then pick something you can talk about. You can create a video of yourself talking about it. You can create a podcast talking about stacknet. You can be a technical writer.

You can just be writing things about stacknet what you've understood. You can be a mentor and you can just be a speaker at different conferences talking about stacknet and that is in the line of content creation. And I think the first the first if you meet your tier, you start getting paid from over $600 from your first payment as a content creator on on Stark using the Wolfpack League. And yeah, we have so so many amazing projects, so many amazing things like I said that have been built on stacknet. And one of the project is the blob arena.

And I'm sure you would have seen it downstairs in the stacket booth. The blob arena is a game built on stacknet and it's um is an onchain web game that uses pixel art style and accessible for broad appeal. is a strategic blobet NFT creator battle. So if you if you like playing games and all of that, we have a contest going on on blob arena and they these are the prizes for the contest currently for attendees of the webos conference. First position 300, second 250, third 150 and then fourth and fifth position earn 100,000 naira.

So if you want to be part of the competition just scan this code and then you create your account. Now Stacknet uses account abstraction. So you are not even bothered with what is a wallet and all of that. You are not even stressed with that. If you create your account, it automatically behind the scene create a wallet for you, generate a wallet address for you that stores your NFTs, all your winnings in the arena.

Okay. So yeah, thank you guys very much. I hope I've been able to do justice to this and you've learned a bit about stacknet. I hope you'll be joining the ecosystem soon. Thank you guys.
