Welcome to Ragma. This is a one-day conference. Those of you who are joining us for the first time, welcome. And you are at an eth global event. Our goal is to onboard lots of people into web 3.
And we do this by running two things. Hackathons and summits. We have a massive hackathon happening this weekend starting tomorrow till Sunday. But today is about telling all of you what's happening at the edges of web3 development. Every solidity developer knows that a smart contract starts with the word pragma.
It's not just the beginning of a developer's journey, but for us it's a call towards pragmatism. The goal here is to bring web to a wider audience. This is an event that's open to anybody, not just developers. compared to our hackathons. And what makes these different is our approach to how we run a mini conference.
Pragma and today is going to be a single day, single track, single stage event. The speakers here are executives from all the companies that they represent. This means you get to hear what the founders, the CXOs are thinking about the vision and the future of their own business. And you get to hear that firsthand directly from them. The focus is going to be on the future.
You're going to see a lot of announcements. You're going to see a lot of ways that everybody's taking account of things that they've learned from the past and how they're going to make decisions about future and share their perspectives, learnings. And because this is not a developer only event, things are going to be mostly non-technical. We're going to cover some things that require some technical jargon, but our speakers going to do their best to explain to you what those things are and uh we'll also clarify anything that's uh too technical or too deep. There's going to be 16 sessions today.
eight fireside chats and eight talks. You're going to see everybody come on, share their perspectives, and we're going to obviously have a lot of breaks and opportunities for you to network and talk to each other. But this is what today looks like. All of you would have gotten this postcard upon registration. And if you flick up flip on the back of it, you'll see the full schedule and also everything is on our website.
So you can see the full run of show on eglobal.com/barma. Now, there's a couple things I want to talk about. First of all, I want to thank all of you who are registered to be here. There's over 500 people from 46 different countries.
Being at Dev Connect lets us say hi to our broader community. So, it's exciting to see a lot of you and it's even better to see a lot of you for the first time in person. We do a lot of async events and it's finally amazing opportunities to uh to meet everybody in person through these inerson activations. I also want to give a massive shout out to our 11 incredible partners. I want to thank World Protocol Labs, Archive, Babylon, Keeperhub, NotIt, The Graph, Trails, Aurora, Ether, Link, Mina, Stafy, Tenderly for their support.
So, please give them a big round of applause. And lastly, I want to thank everybody who bought the Buenoaris pack. Uh about 30% of all tickets were these packs. These are onchain primitives that let you access everything that's happening this week and a lot more from our ecosystem. and a lot of perks to help make travel a lot more easier for for you in different countries.
That included co-working space access that's upstairs, the whole floor, obviously, free tickets to Pragma. You have things like flight discounts, eims, and access to not just our happy hour, but 15 other events that are happening this week. It's a new primitive. It's entirely onchain and you can check if anybody has a pack and offer them new perks. And we have a lot of our partners trying these out.
So, thank you for being a packholder. And you can check out more on eglobal.com/packs. Another version of our pack, AC global plus. This is a single membership to everything we do at ETH Global, which helps you unlock access to our entire network across 100 plus countries.
You get access to every Pragma event we do, all the city packs that we have, a lot more credits and things like Uber, roaming, priority pass membership, um, and sponsor transactions on chain and access to 100 plus side events that are mix of community events and events of our partners across the globe. So, you can see what's going on anywhere you live. You can find out more about EOL Plus or you can find anybody from the team to tell you more about Plus. And lastly, you have this wristband. This wristband is a special NFC wristband that has a private key sliding ability for Ethereum.
So, every wristband is an Ethereum wallet and it's customized to you. So, the cool part about this thing is that not only can people send money on this thing, but if you scan someone else's wristband, all you need to do is just hold your phone next to a wristband and you'll get that person's contact information. They get to connect with you directly and you get to maintain a history of who you met through these events whether it's today or over the weekend and really allow each other to uh share the pieces that they want to tell with you share with you. So you can choose if you want to share your email, Telegram, Discord or anything else and uh simplify connecting with everybody through this event. Now let's talk about the schedule.
