all right so my name is Victoria adido I'm also known as Vikes I'm a blockchain developer technical writer and also um ad Deo okay so yeah I'm an ambassador for leaks and also a technical writer at Horus lab and a Dev at women in defi okay so one thing I want to talk about today is that um the walls of web tree is high like pretty much high so the first time I got into web three it was it was a lot right I had a really hard time understanding what's what's up I don't know if we have um do you have this um your favorite Indian guy on YouTube that you always listen to nice nice I also have one to like when I have issues with my code and all that I just go there and you know he's there to help me all the time so these guys are there to help you when you have issues with your Cod so um what I want to talk about today is that we need to put out more technical content out there like it's needed like it's very very necessary web is new like it's PR much new right it's and it's an evolution like it's more than what we are thinking about here web three is is like the next age of something amazing right so we need to talk about it more we need to put out more technical content out there and it represents a lot that we don't really like understand like to me with three is bigger than me right it's bigger bigger than all of us here so as devs I feel like we need to we need to put out more of these contents out there we need to put out more technical content we need to communicate web3 more like we need to communicate web3 more to the new [Music] devs all right so there's been an evolution of technical communication over the years we've gone from we've gone from let's say all these technical drons where everybody just want to feel asive okay I'm a I know this thing you ask someone something and you just start giving you one kind of like BB grammar what is it just explain this thing to me like a child explain it to me like very very simple but you just see them start saying all these technical Jons and all that but for the newbies out there to be able to understand this Tech we need those people that are going to explain this thing like in the simplest form like no matter who you are no matter what you know right what you know is actually going to help the other person out there is going to help someone so that's just what I want to talk about today please okay sorry all right so we need to be able to leverage various um formats of technical communication we need to leverage this I know some of you may say uh I don't like cameras I don't like camer show you my face if I ask some devs here I don't like cameras I was talking to someone like um recently and he was like H I don't really like uh writing tutorials I don't really like making video content I say why this guyy is a badass Dave so why you why you why they do J so I was talking to him I was like ah I don't like all these things my business is just to focus on my code and do what you you you actually being stingy to someone out there like most times when I create um content I'm like okay someone is like me when I was learning this thing and they're probably finding it hard so my job is to help them understand it's called I call it giving back to the community because you actually learned from someone I said who has um an India person that has saved your assets some sometimes sorry for the language and a lot of you guys raise up your hands so um someone out there helped you like no one would tell me that you didn't learn from someone yeah maybe you go to school and you learn it but yeah there's some some guy on YouTube some guy on medium that actually like helped you um get the knowledge that you have right now so we need to be able to leverage this this um this form of content like reading content video content you need to be able to put this contents out there doesn't don't don't say okay yeah I'm shy if you you're shy of um let's say make putting out video content what about reading content like articles and all that you can actually do that as well and you can also do this this is what I'm doing right now you can speak like to like to people out there so you can actually do that too so um one very important thing that I've noticed is that um as devs we tend to We tend to be reserved in a sense right we tend to be reserved you don't want to you don't want to talk you see like some of you guys out like I'll just sit down some of you like a badass devs you guys know this thing you know your onions but there's someone out there that is actually like struggling from understanding these things that is why web three we need to communicate it more yes they actually like technical articles video content out there but truth is that it's not enough it's not enough yeah I was talking to my colleague yesterday and he said we're talking about ZK and he was like oh he tried he bought books on ZK like he showed me the books like a lot of books on Z he said ah I want I just want to study ZK I must understand this thing like he he went to the and he was like I don't know he had one knock you get so he was like oh this is a lot so he just wants to leave leave it for the mathematicians and the professors I'm like it shouldn't be that way right it shouldn't be that way there should be there should be a means to for us to communicate this concept easy to someone out there yeah people are trying yeah I can see a lot of technical concerns about um web thread centralization and yeah yeah but we need we need more content out there we need more cont content it needs to be like web 2 like I remember when I was um when I was in web 2 I'm still in web 2 yeah when I was um a web 2 I just go to um stack Overflow and there's a lot of tutorials out there it should be like that for web um sorry for web 3 like it should be that like there should actually be more content in web 3 for that so let's not be stingy with our knowledge we are not much right I feel like we are not much compared to the web web two folks we are not much yet so we need more content out there we need to help folks that are coming up I feel like I'm talking out of my slid but yeah okay yeah um video um content um like podcast and you know stuff like that okay so one very important thing is that as developers you have a lot of opportunities you can position yourself for these opportunities it shouldn't be just you know solely on your coding and writing there's a lot of opportunities out there for you to be like a technical Communicator to this Concepts people are looking for guys that can actually communicate this concept so it can actually be a carrier paath for you if you're not looking at at like at that already so you should actually do okay so these are the skills you need to develop storytelling technical writing and knowing how to create um video content and how to communicate this technical Concepts better all right so Bridging the Gap I just need to brush through this all right so I just want to talk a bit about my journey like being a leaks ambassador technical writer and also a Devo all these roles has helped me like be able to communicate this Concepts easier like I've I've actually found out throughout the years I've been able to grow my skills and be able to communicate this Concepts easier I'm actually sit in my learning age B no matter what you know right now you can actually like help the next person so do well to help anyone it could be your colleague it could be a friend close to you just try and just you know just say okay let me just give out let let me just give out it may not be much but you may not know everything you don't even have to know everything the little you know you can actually like share that knowledge and from this this this talk today I really want to see more content out there more rating content more video content about this concept of web three you may actually um speaker was talking about security um security is sorry security is one concept that a lot of people don't really um look at and that is that is a very very key part of um the whole web three and everything and also AI like AI is taking over yeah AI is everywhere and all that but there is not really something that can actually help us fight and actually like minimize the the control AI has over us so if we have those that actually know this things but they're not giving out the knowledge it's not it's not a good thing yeah it's not a good thing so we need more content out there all right so you need just you just need to understand the audience and okay sorry all right so um web 3 itself is already complicated yeah so let's not complicate it more make it um be able to you need to um be able to explain this concept in simple terms that someone out there can understand and yeah there are Technical Resources but it is just not enough so please please please um I just hope you were able to understand the whole thing that I've been trying to say today is just tell you that to please and please create more content someone out there really really needs it some newbies are here they need this content so please do well to create more content video content to just help someone out there podcast very important okay and yeah um sorry one last thing here um when I was actually like trying to understand web three and ethereum as a whole I found it very very hard I was searching on YouTube um searching everywhere just to get like video content people actually like want to talk about ethereum and stuff like that and I found this really really um exciting YouTube channel on on YouTube here it's called um Galaxy the Galaxy it's on YouTube Galaxy ethereum you can just search for it this lady um she actually like runs the podcast she explains this in simple terms so she attends the ethereum de call and she brings out everything they spoke about during the de call and explain it in very very simple context she bring guests from from all the the owner of ens she had an interview with him he spoke about like everything from the ground up how they started ens and stuff like that so you should actually like check it out so we need more content out there thank you so much thank you everyone
