[Music] So my name is James. Uh I am the head of product for uh for Chili. Uh unfortunately we had some technical issues so we won't be able to display the the presentation but so I'm just going to talk through it. It's uh quite straightforward. So uh so don't worry about that.
So I'm going to give some context about Chili. Who Chile is where we've been. So, um, we were established in 2018 and we're, uh, we're still alive, still around. So, that's already a good sign. Um, we essentially started off with, uh, with our Chile's uh, token, uh, which essentially was the pathway in order for users to get on boarded to buy, uh, another asset class which we which we created, which is fan tokens.
So, essentially we created this these partnerships with the biggest clubs in Europe. We started off with PSG, Juventus and it started to to trickle out from there and now we have about um 80 fan tokens for all of these uh these big high high value um franchises. So what's what was the point of these fan tokens? So the fan tokens are essentially fungeible tokens um ERC20 tokens cap 20 on our cheese chain that essentially are uh the gateway for fans to interact with their club. uh they don't expire unlike these uh legacy kind of um uh memberships and they they they hold a value right so what we did was we we launched uh a customerf facing app called socios.
com socios.com uh had an app chain which was the legacy version of our chilies chain uh which house all of these fan tokens and we used to uh we still do actually we launch polls for users to engage with the team so they can vote on their on their favorite uh MVP of the match. They can vote on uh what number to give the new the new signing these little kind of interactions with fans so that we can give um the fans a say and and and the feeling that they are really part of the the team right so that is the the feeling we are trying to to to get from from these uh these users uh to be to feel part of this community. So that's um so.com.
Socialius.com is our uh our userfacing app. It is uh we had about 2.5 million users on it. Um so we went we did really well in 2021.
We on boarded a lot of these fans. It gave us the opportunity to work with more clubs. Uh and today we we we are in a a new phase um of Chili. uh two years ago we launched our own layer one chili chain and we want to give the opportunity to more uh developers to to engage with uh with these sports franchises even the ones uh the ones that we already have. So through the fan tokens you can already engage with these clubs but um we also have we there's also the opportunity to to um to approach other clubs clubs that we we don't already work with.
Um there's also the opportunity to build um apps around NFT ticketing um DeFi apps sports. of Sports Fi is kind of what we what we call our ecosystem because we want to bring this kind of uh level of decentralized finance uh to the sports ecosystem, right? So, um through dexes, trading fan tokens, lending, uh liquid staking, whatever you can think of, we want to bring it to our sports ecosystem. Um so, the proof of concept is there. Clubs want to do it, clubs want to work with it, clubs want to make money, and this is a way for clubs to make money.
Um so now it's just an opportunity for others to kind of join in uh in this movement. Um so we have been uh I think it's like our sixth hackathon uh now with ET global and what we really try to uh to push is for developers to build things that um are really going to build a community build um a use case for users to to engage with crypto without uh stuffing the the concept down their throat. Right? So I want to make it usable, make it something that uh that that is going to on board the these massive communities of fans. I mean the I think you can imagine the the amount of of of sports fans in the world is uh is crazy.
So it's in the billions, right? So this is an opportunity for a market where you can bring in uh these fans into the web3 ecosystem, right? Without again um having to stuff the technology down their throat. We want to make sure that it's it's a it's a great experience uh a great app and um and it's really making use of of the the the technology right so um we are uh we have two tracks uh they're generic tracks so we want to not limit your creativity as much as possible the two tracks are um the next big sports app so was a success it still is a success and uh and we are maintaining it. But we want more uh socials in in the in the in the market.
We want more apps that that are going to bring in more fans, more uh more usage to the network, more uh value locked. Um we want to to replicate uh the success that Sios had across across uh across the board. Um we also have a second track which is uh DeFi. So the best D5 app or use case on cheese chain. Uh cheese chain like I said it's two years old.
Uh the DeFi ecosystem is still um still starting out I would say. Uh we're missing uh lending. We're missing liquid staking. We're missing a lot of a lot of really um great potential on the chain and we really want to incentivize you guys to to find the next best um TVL generator, right? The next best uh yield generator.
uh we encourage you guys to use our our assets. So fan tokens what uh what's great about fan tokens is that we already made the deal with the club, right? So you can use the asset, you can use the asset on on your DAP. Uh you don't have to go through the club, you don't have to uh unless of of course you cannot use the club's IP, but you can use the fan token IP. Um so we really want to incentiv incentivize you guys to to use these uh these assets as a use case.
Maybe in the future there's going to be more. Then maybe you guys want to approach some uh some clubs, some some sports franchises. Doesn't have to be football teams. Um and uh and and your creativity can grow from there. So those are the two um the two tracks that we're we're providing.
So we have there's first and second place for both tracks. Uh if you go into our it global page uh for the prices, there's also a link to our documentation and our faucet. The documentation is quite uh quite extensive I would say. Um there's not much for a layer one to to to I mean to start off there's RPC's provided there's uh there's everything you need but obviously there's always the booth uh you can come join there's myself there's Steve our head of engineering as well and a couple more devs and and uh and dev rails on the team. Uh so we we encourage you guys come validate your ideas.
Uh we have experience working with with with these big clubs that we can help you guys um navigate through these these uh these uh these things. We also encourage you guys to use AI. Um we all know that AI is is uh is really helping developers but not just developers, right? So want to bring AI use cases to fans to to users. So we really want to um to incentivize you guys to to do that.
So that is chilies in a nutshell. Um a bit less visual unfortunately, but uh but yeah, if there's any questions, we're we're we're open to them. Happy to to answer anything um any doubts you might have. Uh anyone?
Yeah.
Where do you see yourself moving in the next 12 months?
Yes. So um so I mentioned DeFi. So DeFi is some it's a big one for us in the next few months. So want to really solidify our position and make sure that our chain is attractive to uh to other DAPs investors and and have that uh that uh that value locked on chain. We also are um expanding as much as possible.
So the um the the you know the US market is changing uh which gives us an opportunity there as well gives anyone an opportunity there not just us but um but it's something that we're also interested in and we really want to make Chili's chain the the goto uh it already is but uh we want to make it the go-to network for for sports projects right sports entertainment Um, we're uh we're we anywhere there's fans, any anywhere there's a community, they have a they have a place on cheese chain.
Yeah.
Rise and fall team performance or is it more based on
so uh yes and no. Okay. So, uh there are um so when there's big events like u the Champions League, uh like this year we had four of our our clubs. I think it was PSG um Manchester City in Tulan. Anyway, so there there were four I think Barcelona.
Anyway, there was four of our our fan tokens that were taking part in the the semi-finals and the finals of the Champions League. Um and that price action we could see it on uh on on on the token. It's not tied as much as we want it yet. And we do have plans in the future to um optimize uh the tokconomics to try and make it more based on real real world events, but we're not there yet.
Argentina. Argentina. the interest increases. Yes, for sure. can be a lot of things that happen around the team that might change.
Yeah. And the beauty of it is that the clubs are really responsive to it. Like they really want to uh find ways to make it work um to on board more users to to monetize their users because at the end of the day clubs are businesses as well. Um so they are uh they're helping to try and make this more um more possible. Yep.
Question about the trading of the clubs.
Can I take a Manchester United token and transfer or trade it token or can I go shop and buy some swagable? So think of fan tokens as any other 20 token, right? So what you can do with uh you can swap on a DEX, you can swap on exchanges, you can do countless things like anything you could do with any 20 token, you can do with these tokens in terms of what you can get out of rewards. So there are two levels, right? So there's what we provide through the Socios app through the club.
So the more you engage with the with a token on the app, the more reward points you generate and the reward points can be translated into rewards, right? So, you can get uh merch, you can get uh tickets, VIP tickets. We have a skybox in almost all of the clubs that we work with. We send fans there all the time. Um there's experiences that you can uh you can get rewarded like uh playing a game on on the on the PSG pitch, which is uh which is just insane for a fan.
Um and then there's the level where the the club provides as well uh access, right? So there's uh there's integrations that they create on their website for you to tokenate um um stuff on their store with with the tokens, but it's more limited to what the the club is is capable of doing uh techwise, right? So we are like the infrastructure provider for the club. We try to make help them do whatever they can. But when they do stuff on their side, they're more limited because they are not tech tech companies, right?
They are uh they are sports franchises. So it's a bit more limited in that that sense. Okay. Um so if there's no other questions, um I wish you guys the best of luck. Uh we're really excited to see what you guys come up with.
We've seen some really interesting projects in the in the previous years. So we really want to uh we're really excited to see see on Sunday what you have. Um and I remind you again, we have a booth. Uh come by, come talk to us, validate your ideas. Uh we're we're happy to to to talk to you guys.
Okay, best of luck. [Music]
