Transcript

Today everything will be as relaxed as possible. I plan to shed some light on the Uniswap stack. And yes, welcome to Uniswap, the to Uniswap, the ETH Global online hackathon. I believe this is a great opportunity for each of you to experiment, learn new things, create something interesting, express yourself, and add new achievements to your portfolio or projects. And today, thanks to the " thanks to the " continuity" trend, it's getting even more interesting, so welcome.

My name is Angel Kandoh. I work at Uniswap Labs in the developer relations department, and as I said, today I'm excited to walk you through the entire Uniswap stack you through the entire Uniswap stack , how to navigate it, what resources you might find useful, and then you'll have complete freedom to choose what you want to build over the next 10 days. So I'll start with a brief overview of Uniswap brief overview of Uniswap . It is one of the largest decentralized exchanges in the world. A few numbers: we have over 4.

5 trillion in cumulative trading volume, over 2.7 billion transactions, over 10 million assets, and over 20 blockchains supported at the API level. You probably already have experience using the Uniswap interface. But we have more than just an interface, a wallet, or an extension. We offer a huge stack of protocol tools and infrastructure that you can use at any time use at any time , because it's all open to you.

Let's start with AMM, that is, the protocol. I'll explain this in more detail later, but in general it's the concept of an automated market maker, which at one time brought together traders and liquidity providers to make exchanges on the network, and now it's a platform for all the world's assets on the blockchain. Then we have Uniswap X, which is a kind of intent-based system or MEV-protected exchange network that allows front-end users to get the best price execution, and on the other hand, a network of market makers and various mechanisms to provide the best price execution for everyone . As I mentioned at the beginning, this is EA, our liquidity launch pad; Uniswap API, which is our regular REST API but provides access to all of our routing mechanisms; and Uniswap AI—a skillset for connecting to your agents, which should simplify development within the ecosystem with minimal context. So, let's start with AMM.

There are currently four versions of the Uniswap protocol. As I said, Uniswap brought the AMM concept to life— AMM concept to life— it was originally a contract that brought together liquidity providers and traders, allowing anyone to make exchanges. This gradually evolved into new versions. We currently have the fourth version. In version three, we introduced concentrated liquidity with a curve, where you add liquidity in certain ranges, which allows liquidity providers to receive more incentives or fees, and also optimize liquidity provision systems.

And Uniswap v4 introduces a single contract architecture and hooks. So now it is possible to create any type of customization at the liquidity pool level. And now this market maker is not just the Uniswap protocol, you can use the Uniswap protocol to build anything you want on top of it . This is the next topic we want to mention we want to mention — Uniswap hooks, which are actually some Solidity scripts or logic that can be added to the exchange lifecycle. When you make an exchange or create such systems, the system checks these flags before and after the exchange, and if you have added your own logic there, it will be executed.

This is actually a template that we have for all of you to get started with hooks if you want. We also have, as I mentioned, hook skills, which I can talk about later. But yes, that's actually But yes, that's actually how hooks work. They simply use the current AMM level. You can add a lot of logic before and after the swap.

We have different flags before and after initialization, before and after adding liquidity, before and after removing liquidity, before and after swap, and before and after donation. This really opens up a lot of opportunities in today's world. This is very exciting. We just launched on the Robinhood network a few weeks ago, and if you go to the pools on Robinhood, it's really interesting because some of the pools are using hooks now. So, this particular one, I'm not promoting any hooks, just mentioning it as an example, has the "before initialization" and "before swap" flags enabled.

And at the same time, it's almost like a dynamic commission hook. But what if you have no ideas about what to build, how to build it, or how to integrate it into your project? Or, instead of creating a new hook, it might be better to use one of these hooks in your project. We have a list of hooks. This is an open source repository with all the hooks we have enabled at our interface level, with different capabilities different capabilities .

If you follow this link, you will get a visualizer to understand which checkboxes are activated and which are not. You can view examples, etc. If you have any questions, just let me know. I mean, ideally it's just a conversation between all of us. And yes, I just wanted to mention that we also launched some hooks created by Uniswap Labs together with our partners.

An example of this is permissioned pools, where you can now use hooks to use hooks to , for example, create a permission for a specific address to interact with that pool. This is true, for example, for real assets in certain countries or within certain time frames. So, if your project is based on tokenized shares and you need to add geo-blocking or address-level permissions, you can use this infrastructure. You don't have to create it yourself. You just have to use this application.

We also have dual liquidity pools and more to come. But yes, hooks are definitely something you should pay attention to, regardless of whether you want to create your own, use someone else's, or just leverage an existing one. We also have Uniswap X—the network I mentioned earlier. It says that Uniswap X is an intent-based protocol with MEV protection. This is hard to explain, but I'll give you an example.

When someone enters the interface and wants to make a swap, the Uniswap X network is running in the background by default. This is essentially the entire routing mechanism of the Uniswap ecosystem, both the classic AMM mechanisms and classic AMM mechanisms and Uniswap X, which is a set of aggregator hooks, private market private market makers, or a network that has an exclusivity window to provide the best price. So ultimately, coming here, you're not just getting AMM prices, you're getting the best execution for the price; It doesn't matter whether you interact with Uniswap or with an AMM, the main thing is that you get the best price. It's good that I mentioned private market makers, but this is a permissionless network . So you can also perform fills without permissions.

The only thing is that these private nodes have an exclusivity window for a certain amount of time, which you can find out about in our documentation. But if you also want to work with this or have been in finance for a long time and have ideas, this is a system you can use to develop within or outside of ETHGlobal Online. We also have Uniswap CCA, our liquidity launchpad, and we have two main mechanisms. The first is auctions, where teams can raise initial liquidity. Most recently, in recently, in beta, we announced Pool Streak, which now also has launches, which is an aggregator of various token launchers.

They're not on the Robinhood network, but yeah, you should definitely take a look at it should definitely take a look at it . There are a lot of things happening around Robinhood right now. But yes, there are different networks and types of tokens, including stocks, ETFs, etc. And finally, I'll mention the Uniswap API as part of the protocol layer—it's a REST API with various endpoints for your development. What’s interesting is that the Uniswap API actually encompasses our entire routing mechanism and provides access to both the classic Uniswap implementation and UniswapX.

So, if you are an integrator, you don't need to worry about creating this routing system. You can simply connect to the API. To start using it, you will need two permissions, depending on your needs. We strongly recommend using the permit tool permit tool . You need to check the wallet approval.

You are requesting one of these transactions one of these transactions , and if you are using authorization, you also need to sign the corresponding message. This will be a simple two-transaction process if necessary. But again, we strongly recommend using the permit function permit function . We have different sets of endpoints: from regular exchange to cross-chain exchange. Cross-chain exchange means performing transactions between different networks through an endpoint of actions on the networks.

We also offer liquidity provision, meaning you can use this to rebalance positions. We also have supporting tools, i.e. different types of endpoints that can be useful during development not only for you but also for your agents, for example, checking KYC permissions for tokens to avoid such errors. We have significantly improved our error handling system.

Thank you all for your feedback over the past few months at various global hackathons global hackathons . Thanks to this, you should now receive much more detailed error messages. If you encounter an error, you will receive details to make debugging easier and understand at what point the system fails. You can also get information about supported networks for tokens, etc. As I said, we run different endpoints.

If you need anything specific, let us know. We recently launched a supported networks feature where you can find all contracts via the API for each network available at the API level. There are also token lists and pool information that can be useful during development. If you are building something outside of the reach of Uniswap API networks, we have a deployment page deployment page — it’s actually a JSON file with all of our contracts that you can plug into your agent. And you don't have to worry about the contracts you interact with, as contract data is taken directly from Uniswap.

Of course, it's always best to check and confirm everything, but I highly recommend you move on to deployments, and I promise it will make your life easier. And lastly, this is more of a toolkit for the protocol, we have Unis AI, it's a set of AI Unis AI, it's a set of AI skills that we have across our ecosystem, so again, this should provide enough context to your agent so that you can interact with the ecosystem. Everything I just mentioned earlier, like programmatic integration, but you can also generate revenue through SDKs. You could also interact with hooks from here, or you could also interact with, I don't know, Robinhood or know, Robinhood or whatever network, at the trading level, like an index trading bot and a DCA bot. But you can also interact with aggregator hooks or permissioned pools, which is one of the ones I mentioned earlier I mentioned earlier .

So, let me see if I have any questions so I can go over them a little bit . I just want to show you ETH Global Online. We have taken into account all your feedback from past hackathons. And this time we created an open reward. We are looking for the best contribution to the Uniswap stack.

This means that you can create anything you want. Use Uniswap as a lever or platform for your project. And so, unleash your creativity. Here we have availability for both tracks: for new or from scratch, as well as for continuation, so anyone can build here. And yes, that's pretty good; this will have $5,000 in prize money: $3,000 for the best contribution to the Uniswap stack in the open or “from scratch” category, and $2,000 for the continuation category.

Here are some of the resources. Actually, I recommend you go to the developer platform, where you should find all the information you need information you need . And if not, my Discord is currently turned off for notifications, but I'll be there from now on until the end of the hackathon. So, feel free to contact me on our partner channel. And so, that's probably all.

Thank you. I'll also check to see if we have any questions we have any questions . I don't think we have any questions. I think we have great comments. What projects do you expect to see around the Uniswap theme at this hackathon?

Honestly, I don't expect any specific projects. I want to give you the freedom to create what you think is best and what you think the ecosystem needs. So, I would be very happy...I don't know, Pascal, and I...you correct me if I'm wrong, but today in the DeFi world there are a lot of projects that, in fact, started at hackathons like this.

So hopefully we'll see the next ones . And so, I think that's all for now, Pascal. Yes, I generally agree with that . The general idea is this: create whatever you want, whatever you think is really cool, useful, and moves the ecosystem forward. We have a few questions We have a few questions , I think, from Maxim.

So, Angelo, can I get pool data from the official documented Uniswap API, like app.uniswap.org/explore/pools, and the Uniswap AI says no? If you use the Uniswap API, you have an endpoint called getPoolState where you can get all this information exactly. Yes.

Hmm this information exactly. Yes. Hmm . Regarding Rabbit and chaining . Regarding Rabbit and chaining , will they be compatible with...

okay, I'm not sure I can give a lot of details on that, but essentially, they use different types of hooks "under the hood". So if you go to the Explore section and then to Pools, you can see that some of them have a special mark. When you click on these icons, you can see all the different types of hooks we have there. Unfortunately, v4 hooks are only available at the v4 protocol level. So if the protocol is not available in this chain, I don't think it's possible.

But ARC is definitely available, not at the testnet level , but it's there. You can also fork them for testing and development. The answer is development. The answer is yes, but in today's realities today's realities , I think it's better to work with the entire stack directly, especially considering that you have 10 days instead of three, like at a regular hackathon. I know and am sure you will be able to figure it out and interact with them, but yes, ARC is available.

L1—no, unfortunately, not this time. Class. Let's go not this time. Class. Let's go .

It seems we have no more questions here. No, I don't think so. Good. Yes, thank you. Thanks again to Angela for a very, very interesting and quick workshop.

The entire team will be available on Discord throughout the hackathon. So feel free to write to them there. And I continue to say this at every event and every workshop. Don't ask if you can ask a question. Just ask questions.

This is an asynchronous event, and you will get answers much faster if you just write them. I would say that in 99% of say that in 99% of cases it is perfectly normal to ask questions openly. If there's something very secret or very confidential, then of course you can always try writing to people directly. If it concerns Eve Global, you can always write to me. Here's another question from Silva J.

: "Do we need a frontend?" You don't need it. Honestly, no. If you have a great idea that you want to run through the terminal, just make sure you explain it really well. But no, just wanted to warn you that we are reviewing the code and making sure you are integrated with the protocol.

So try not to bypass this, because I promise I will notice. And I would also say that the answer is "no" is already guaranteed. So just ask the question, and at some point we can politely say "no" or "yes, that's the way to interact." What is the link to see the deployment see the deployment ? If you go here, developers.

uniswap.org is on the protocol website. Actually, I can quickly show you here. Deployment. So it's almost developers.

org. And you have the deployment function here . And then he remembered that he couldn't find it. Good. The endpoint is the state of the pool.

If you need more pool data, you can use substreams. You can also check this in our documentation. Yes, in fact, substreams should also help. Please note that we do not own substreams. This is a substreams community, but we provide guidance on how to use them or how to navigate the documentation.

So yes documentation. So yes , either this endpoint , either this endpoint or these substreams should help. I don't see arc there. Um, let me arc there. Um, let me , uh, let me, let me check and send you the documents on Arc, uh, Discord.

I know it's available, um, now, but training will start soon. Uh, so we might just, um, put some, um, restrictions there. Um, yes, but I also need less. So, your name is Ram Reactor. Uh, follow our Discord chat.

What's the name, Pascal? Ahem. Oh, it's a unis swap partner. Unis swap partner. That's right .

I, I will be there. Um, uh, great, uh, write to me here and I'll find the answers. Um, yes, I'd be happy to help. Good luck to you all. You have 10 days.

Uh, make sure you do n't, you know, wait until the last day, because I really think we have a lot of competitive advantage now and help from our army of agents. Um, my only advice on this, more personal this, more personal , is don't delegate your idea to agents. They are all thinking the same thing . What makes you unique is how you think and how you imagine the future. Um imagine the future.

Um , and agents can help you develop these ideas. Um, but yes, I look forward to your submissions. I hope, um, I can do it . Um, and we'll do it, tag me when needed. Me, I'll be keeping an eye on everything for the next 10 days or so days or so .

So have a good day, everyone.
