and now we're really excited i've been looking forward to this talk all week manu we've got you coming in to share doing good with nfts with us coming to us from uh fight pandemics manor are you with us i'm here we're here oh double whammy hi guys how you doing good good it's pretty good excited to be here thanks i'm stoked to have you so uh i'm just going to let you take it away we've got a short time slot i'm sure you have a lot to cover yes we do run on thanks guys all right so we are launching care thou kerdaw is an organization that is building products that are optimizing financial human and social capital for positive impact so everything got started with a pandemic we started building a product called fight pandemics after if uh hcc in paris i actually got covered there and yeah that got me that got me to understand many different problems that we're suffering which is that many communities have different type of channels and they actually don't have the tools in order to communicate with each other and exchange help and that's why we decided to create a help board which simply connect those who need help with those ones who can provide it any need any time anywhere so with this idea we are able to bring together a beautiful community we had over 7000 people apply to join in which we brought on 1 800 um again because we require a minimum of 10 hours and we have a clear onboarding process to make sure people can come in and really contribute from all over the world 80 plus countries giving over 60 000 hours since the beginning and we we are able to recognize that through a recognition program that we that we have in which we can give badges and thanks and really make sure to give credit to everyone that has joined and contributed also at a estimated value of 2.8 million dollars with all that time and not only the the community of individuals but also the tech community with over 48 different companies who have offered credits and premium uh free premium plans to support us estimated at over 500 000 really making this come to life and with that community with the tech supporters we're able to launch a fully functioning social platform in over 30 languages in december um we it was live on the web since july just bringing uh as we kind of tested the product and over time built more features to december where we launched it and actually see people using the platform exchanging help and really a beautiful process um now stepping back is care dow and kind of reanalyzing the situation where again we're focused as a dow on optimizing financial human and social capital for positive impact we recognize the amazing opportunity to do more good um by shifting our focus to what we're now calling doing good um a marketplace for social good and how this marketplace for social good is going to work is you can think of it similar to how amazon smile works but but on steroids they're really focusing on the good part in the center where all the purchases that would go through this marketplace a minimum of five percent would be streamed to social organizations or social causes of that creators or sellers choice and then a small piece goes to the platform or the dow or seeing the platform to again be reinvested in social good and potential mechanics to again um redistribute to the creators and again that five percent that comes into the platform is way lower than all these other platforms in the middle that uh take so much value out of this this flow like amazon specifically takes still eight to twenty percent from creators um most of the others like youtube instagram all these others that are in the way of creators connecting with their audience take a much larger percent and we just look to have the piece that that is able to support the operations of the platform and then redistribute back towards feeling good so yeah we're starting with our like amazon started with books uh we believe that the online hour market is booming right now uh in 2024 it's going to be around 9.3 billion dollars and if we zoom in we have the crypto art market which is also booming in december 8.8 million dollars were transacted in primary cells and in january over 9.8 million dollars so yeah as you guys know uh people he sold over 3.
5 million dollars in a weekend that mouse uh he saw one of the reactive or one nft for over 95 000 and then the creator of rick and morty sold over 1.2 million dollars in a day and this is specific piece that you're seeing right there the smithton's uh i think he sold for over 300 000 and actually the the the cool part is apparently he gave all the proceeds to a social cause and i'm saying apparently is because sadly we don't have the tools yet in order to uh see if that transaction was how it was supposed to be and that's where doing good come into play so initially we're gonna have the creators that are uh they're gonna have a space where they're going to be presenting their pieces of our um we can we call it drops and here you have um the description of the pieces of art um and then what is the percentage that is going to a social cause then we have um also put a lot of social engagement around the creation of like the different type of creations and also again with uh with the different type of uh creators are in the platform they can exchange um they can't change value there um so yeah here you have the different comments that people make within the pieces so like that people can interact and have more um have more like engagement with the different creators the most important part is the social element that we're building around the platform which is basically that the artists or the creators they're going to say what are the different uh sdg goals that they want to support as you know the united nations they have around 17 sdg goals that they want to achieve by 2030 and currently there's no platform that is hosting all these people that are contributing for those goals um and we believe that we can play a big role in this in this in in this area so we have different social elements like activities so basically like you make comments likes in the different uh in the different creations the artists are the creators that can make posts uh in order to collaborate with other artists or with other creators and as well to engage with their audience organizations are basically the organizations that they're supporting um with the different sales that they're going to be making and also the organizations that they're a member of badges is this new digital cv or this new way of displaying all this uh recognition that they receive from um supporting these social causes or by engaging with different organizations thanks it will be a place where the creators are going to be able to receive a different appreciation from their audience then we have creations the ones that they have for sale and what is the amount that is going to a social cost and then we have categorized the different type of pieces of art like digital physical digital plus physical and then in own it would be a gallery for the create or for the collectors to display what are the different pieces that they're owning and how they're supporting creators and then at the same time social cost is by doing so yeah and the cool thing is that we can gamify this so we can see like who are those top artists that are supporting social classes and yeah make it more engageable with uh with their audience so we're tapping into uh the passion economy or the creator and economy which is growing super super fast um in 2017 alone over seven billion dollars were distributed to creators in the states and the big vision that we have is actually to have to build um to build different tools as andrew said for optimizing social financial and human capital and the way that we're going to be doing it is by creating a decentralized rocket internet or beta works for such a good so what rocket internet does is basically they copy a lot of business models from different uh places of the world and they bring into africa latin america asia so what we're doing uh what we're doing is literally copying business models that already work and bringing them to web3 and bringing it to this new audience which is the web3 audience and that's basically what it is and thanks everyone thanks so much guys we have a little bit more time do you want to ask questions of the audience or taste them for sure if they if they have any questions we're more than happy to take them what's how do people start getting involved what's the best way to reach out to you how can we bring the youth community into what you're doing well um they can get in touch with any of us they can reach out uh to fight in hhr at fivepandemics.com or just right at manuel at doinggood.com it's in the last slide let me share again um yeah you can feel free to reach out one second either of us there you go your rests that's so well china do you have any other question yeah i mean i personally am really curious if you had a magic wand and this technology could really take off what would you like to see happen in the next couple years well i personally would love to see communities coming together and collaborating instead of uh you know having competition um we we believe that these tools are enabling communities to to create value collectively that could be shared across the across the world um so i'm super optimist uh with all the things that are happening within the space uh communities are are are coming together and creating value there's a panvala league who is you know creating a community currency and well what we want is to be able to host all these different all these different um ideas into one platform and aggregate all of these community currencies and ways for creators to have to become self-owned self-sustained and self-governed that's so awesome i think one of the things that pandemic has done for us is let us know just how important community is people went right started grocery shopping for their elderly neighbors and picking up people's prescriptions and we're looking for new ways to do this we're kind of starving for ways to help each other right now and i love seeing you guys building these tools it's so great yeah and that's actually how we got started uh we created a help board where people are able to exchange any type of help it's currently live in over 30 languages and yeah it's completely open source and yeah we're super excited to see people using it already most of the people that are currently using it are tech people however we don't we want this tool to be used by anyone because you can create different filters and so on within the post that you're making um but one of the most important part that we figured out is that there's a lot of mutual aid groups that are struggling um they don't have the tools for uh growing fast and they don't have the tools for supporting all the people around the world um so yeah we're really we really want to create tools for all those non-profits ngos and mutual aid groups and any type of community and for any type of creator for becoming as i said self-owned self-sustain and self-govern that's so cool my friend and author max borders talks a lot about how we've kind of outsourced the ability to care for one another when we develop things like welfare and different government programs and what we're realizing now is that we really miss doing those things of you stepping through the church or community programs and you guys are building the tools that we can start doing that from the ground up rather than waiting for the systems to help us from the top down i'm so excited to see this take off exactly what's exactly it is like we want to put the tools back in the community's hands and so that they are again cell phone self-sustained and self-governed by collaboration it comes from the different communities supporting one another and that's exactly and the most the most important thing uh to mention is that everyone in the web through space is building different pieces of the puzzle which is amazing because we can bring them all together and now we can have systems that are enabling communities to exchange value uh in an easier way and in a more transparent way and also in a more equalitarian way so we're super excited to see all this coming together that's awesome we're so excited thanks so much guys you're being a rad part of the ethereum community and the global community as well so big props big kudos go find them on all the socials and contribute to what they're building thank you so much thank you thanks guys have a great one
