you gave her and that is going to beat them so you all it is each other before there are political bent our our application wake up members from all kind of background you don't have to be in the garbage journals we are economists lawyers and and so on inside and the business oriented in us as well as non-business you have the people and we do free workshops in like this one multiple workshops are end zone we learn to code we all done to avoid smile contract you want to keep going note and interacts the block chain and get you know anything that should be interesting for you to throw the body blocks in if you want supporters these gives us credibility by tweeting your name and joining our facebook page we also do tube a YouTube channel our workshops are recorded and should be on YouTube or three someday if you want to support an erection you can join our community control our heads because you jenny rose to join and you can beat quit so of course what does it gives you to join us as well those kind of presentation does PowerPoint are only available to all members so if you want to take the side of the workshops you have to be a member and you can also join us back and discuss how with us anytime so there is a link in the description of the vintage wanna join and for that special week we are very eager young people from all over Europe over the world in evil from China to join us in Paris to yesterday we are great project presented not every be on the voice and the people from the other boys are in this room somewhere yeah if you are interested with this qualification of video game using block chains for entering the market place in the game please know how to talk with them we also had a be found a project for a charity on the block chain zombie julia the only not serious maybe you later and so today I already told me what what we are going to be very scene and tomorrow if you want to join us you will have a workshop ends on workshop on a recognized with some as Bethany he organizes you to to give a speech about its solution to bring the data from an AVI to the API to to the block chain here not not here it will be at lab ayahs you have the address on the new values X 2 12 of funny that's not far away though and after collapse will show all organized work we will do end zone Spartans recording with within and then the next day we have a big event with I exact or recognized garam and also cable attached from the sunrise lot better about this team's reputation beyond and above the block chain what can you do on the docks and how to bring big amputation of the deduction little bit of something that will be discussing and before that meet up before the show exhibitor there will be a cocktail party and start of pitching by our colleague from st. X so if you meet the guy I get sum it all up so stick it out so the first if you were all I know it's an incident [Music] and you can take the air out this [Music] community chris Christie shop window if you want to be busy doing so upset I should be royal and hey and also the six people to present today is you [Music] alright good evening everyone my name is Sebastian I am co-founder of strengths also marketing director there or director of community relations and stratum is a company that works with large enterprise coming through christening repairs and we help them secure their workflows using all types of technologies and no big markets as a side note i'm also the co-host of a podcast fault epicenter that around for quite a while and we interview leading thinkers entrepreneurs academics developers and paid with everybody in the space that's doing interesting stuff so I do invite you to check that out so we're now living in an economy of data there's data everywhere the rate at which data is being produced it is expanding at a pretty good rate and this is particularly accelerated by the phenomena i OT and you know all of us here probably have some sort of an IOT device either on us or at home and the consumer iove is becoming sort of mass massively adopted type of technology but increasingly iot is also being adopted in enterprise and IBM as much you probably know predicts that in 2050 there will be over a hundred billion IOT devices a lot of these are going to be in b2b enterprise settings right so in the energy market and supply chains IOT devices gathering data and feeding that data into I see system and as this as the data continues to explode our current IT systems are sort of starting to break at the at the scene we see increasing number of scandals of data leakage I think some of you might today which is quite telling so and and large large companies are particularly worried about the sort of make so really good regulation in Europe feed us regulation also the new data protection rules and in fact a lot of companies are sort of thinking or trying to trying to figure out how they're going to handle all this data and how are they going to secure it what we need is a is a cryptographic audit trail in order to secure that data and allow for companies to better use that variable partners and clients there's some of the scandals right let me know you've seen so sometimes it's in a corruption sometimes they'll leakage some type of tax of we need a way to secure data as some of the things that we're trying to address are these fundamental problems so primarily there are four problems that we try to address one is the fact that as individuals and companies we have a less and less control over our private data you know all of us here we have our individual data with Facebook Twitter the state or banks etc and becoming harder throughout the tracks i mean who here knows exactly where the right entities lived and to a lesser extent control them when this is mostly due to the fact that IT systems are monolithic and there they exist in silos and this creates a certain number of complexities one of which is that they were vulnerable vulnerable IT systems since one administrator in fact when administering administrative compromised and this is that this is a major problem and it also makes it difficult for companies grow strawberries right if you have siloed ID systems well what are you going to do you're going to have to rely on that truck that third party in order to bridge those connections and just why we have true to tell and entrusted to president sort of thing and one of the things that's often overlooked is the cost of regulatory compliance and this is something that enterprise clients are particularly attentive to is my IT systems how can I make them how can I reduce my regulatory compliance costs and so in the new vision that we envision we we envision a world in which companies and individuals have restored the control over the private data so they control or other data is being sent and how it's being used and they can revoke that access whenever they want security is reinforced through decentralized networks and we have secure and interoperable protocols to allow synchronization of data between different types of databases and overall again this is something that corporations are very intensive to is how can I be better transparent towards the regulator and how can I provide traceability to ensure that the regulator that what I'm doing is in fact complying with the law so enough of that what we provide estrada ms shows a number of technologies that address these issues so we provide technologies that will allow individuals and organizations to protect their privacy through intend encryption protocols that also have access controls through cryptographic audit trails will be able to allow real-time auditing of processes and this is could be any type of industrial process it could be a supply chain it could be a document process it could be something as simple as releasing a press release those processes in place to some kind of a frame is types of processes and they may be respected so this real-time auditing will allow that from Ventura T is also important how can I provide the proof to my partner's clients regulators that the data that I'm providing has not been corrupted and how can I easily integrate that as my existing ideas without having to rebuild everything so I like talking about one project that we did with build a mess of my presentation suffers from linguistic identity disorder so it's hot depression have an English much like myself so the problem that google it does of course go away this is a very old certification organization here in France in Europe and so they work with all types of industries to certify data so for instance if you have a supply chain you'll be sitting on the docs say when both comes into the doctor found a bunch of documents to refine that what is coming off of the foetus one type of 29 in the fish here what happened so when they had the problems that they were facing were related to transparency so first first of all what's letting the end goal here so for something like tuna you want to be able to prove to your consumer that they're eating a particular type of tuna that was fished in this region that it's not coming from a conflict zone and this type of thing and this has become increasingly important as people are more conscious of it absolutely organic food is very similar sort of type of navigable this sort of thing is also sort of it's not my print so there's a responsibility towards consumers and merchants that the of the Providence of products they were also trying to address the problem of corruption and the data that they were sort of fine so if I'm providing proofs to a customer to the merchant this sort of thing how can I prove that the data that is feeding into that process is in fact integral and how can I provide symmetry and information between my partner so you know when when the shipping company gets the fish from from the dock from the boat how do they know that this is in fact fish that was coming from one region and how can I sanitize all the information in a way that doesn't create lags or [Music] well so that it's in real time would be and so this is just sort of the schematics of what we you know that about supply chain so fish comes out the boat that boat is is that fish sorry is transporting the trucks into court storage and then processing and then again shipment to a retailer and then finally into a customer's plate and so building a test is that every every one of these steps and those the certification agency that certifies all the documents at the moment all of the documents in this in this process of mostly paper-based are at least some sort of digitized version of paper like a PDF so we did a trusted workflow is reapplied traceability to the entire chain so we're able to trace all the documents and have a cryptographic on a trail of all the documents in that and that supply chain where falsification of the documents becomes impossible since there are a number of notes holding the documents and signatures attesting each of the documents and finally we have a disability in real time for any participant in the network or a regulator that would want to audit that process so just a few screenshots of notice this one so there's a back end where any of the participants could log in/sign and upload documents so in this particular talk were talking book PDS that have the X final x509 signature standard but in the future we're thinking of fully digitized data so data points that can be signed individually and not you know just some sort of visual representation of paper and on the right we have the start of audit hub which allows any of the participants to look at each data point see the hashes of the data with the signature and there's a cryptographic module so those sort of a hash chain that links each of these pieces of data together and that that entire process is is logged into a blockchain so since I'm running low on Congress want to talk about the technologies of proof of process is the protocol determined developed to share piece of data and share proofs of the entire of an entire process with a partner with a client with a supplier while keeping insecure and underlying while keeping underlying data secure in private so just quickly here this is the first time showed us actually because I don't usually show to a technical audience so this is the storm stacked so on the one hand we have proprietary applications so it could be an ERP it could be a ppm system like we need to soft or something like that and these applications you know they they live as they do when they sit on them on the on the on the server of the client there's in a stack of open-source software that divided into two parts and this is the Saradha set and this can be deployed on premise so a bank or searching with bank may decide to deploy that stack on premise or they may decide that they would like us to host this recess in such different types of service level groups that we can provide there and this open source package is divided into two parts the first part is what we call the agent and so the agent is the interface the HTTP interface that will connect to the to the watching network and it's made up of a back into the front end so the back end is is a is a template in which the client can write their own API so there's a very simple language is based on JavaScript I students because javascript is amazing no jazz photo of a subset that allows you to write functions that are basically the end points to your API so for something like a BPM right process it would be somewhat standard and if we're talking about something quite proprietary that agent so it would be more proprietary and the map Explorer is the front end so it's what you saw on the right wall ago right the supply chain which allows you to look at that supply chain look at that process in each of the steps and then there's the storage so the storage layer in our case is watching so once I step in the process has been is it to what we call a chain map what you saw while I gone right I guess attitude into it get sent to the block chain court and so here the networks that were applying are a 4 contender meant controlling an indie bill and so in do in the name of the of the open choice technology that will be releasing grecian and so in the consortium solid block chain this would get sent to the number of notes so we would have replication of the process distributed over a number of nodes now just to give you an example of different actors that can come into this so an auditor might connect to one of the notes to run an application to have a look at the entire process and people to see that every step has been completed according to regulation and they can take signatures on the show thing and the certificate authority may even want to connect you know may provide DKI to the individual participants in the network and it's finally this word make our money so the short license service level agreements where we provide services with training consulting and support and we also provide a platform as a service where we'll have a block explorer console block explorers for different industry verticals management console and a system that we're will be leading as well called blueprint and blueprint is the supporting application that will allow the consortium to deploy their block chain and manage all the government's aspect of a rush so this will be platform as a service and the open source stuff will be releasing open as open source and the first group in the second quarter of this year so this finally the perfect process allows you to prove five pieces of information about a process who what when where and why so what refers to what data so what are we talking about so let's say we're talking about assigning the digital document what are we for each step of the process what is it that we're talking about every talking about sending an email everything talking about signing is there an error proof of n Garrity is as the wind so it provided by the immutable watching network then our appreciation is provided by signatures for each of the steps assigned the contextual proof is is is aware so this that happen before the other presents the hash chain and finally the what are sorry the Y rather is the legal context of the proof so once I have all these I can sort of tokenize this process to say this legally represents one thing or another and I can then initiate some sort of another action at the end late though here's a chamber behind people we race series a in 2016 we're now finalizing series a and writing so for Beijing embarrassed exchange inch in talking to us to reach up reach email Twitter Facebook however and also i just want to mention we're doing this on friday the other side up we're having a party in our office on friday I'm just not that you want to come it's open to anyone but just RSVP so I know if I need to get three kegs for four cakes or five tation so if you don't have time to write the blankets on our Twitter or Facebook so thank you very much [Applause] any questions wishing to a special one okay no one okay one question again nothing i'm over my diet ah what's a dependency on specific block chain technology who can you mean great for example the bitcoin private the theorem chain at the very young question so we started stratum for some of you who may have used a stratus back in the beginning we were using the Bitcoin network to notarize data so we had to have sort of a layer here which was called watching fossilize ER and it relies on a dick one network to notarize in the Bitcoin network we still offer that is still available we will continue to offer it the demands of our times are now on the way things are going or where we want to deploy networks so you want to be at the network layer but that doesn't mean that for certain use cases so for instance if there's not a consortium if you're just trying to sort of notarized data you want to use the fossil I sure do that if otherwise if you know I'm sure consortium like oh say that the khazar some sort of such openness thanks you're going to want to deploy your own networks it's probably more efficient than the one you know different variations for this music ok before you put people will be able to write the old if you want yeah I mean once it is open source that you can build like this is the storage layer here you can connect whatever you want to so I'll be up I'll be around if there's any other questions let's go on take up too much time scales thank you [Music]
